After the arrests, Mace released a statement detailing the 25 bills she says will protect victims of sexual assault, harassment or discrimination, including in retaliatory defamation and libel lawsuits that may result from allegations they bring to light.

The Republican, who is leaving the House this term after losing her bid to be South Carolina governor, introduced a proposal this week to require that anyone who brings such a case and loses must pay attorney fees for the defendant.

Maybe, just maybe, some small measure of good can come from this. She also voted to release all the Trump/Epstein files.

Part of what's going on here may be the tendency of people on the conservative end of the spectrum to only really feel empathy over issues that have personally affected them. And this was nearly as personal as it gets.

Also they only grow a spine when they lose their election and have nothing to lose.

u/angry-democrat 11h ago

don't kid yourself, there are no spines in politics anymore.

This is not fair. Mace has been very consistently advocating to protect victims of sexual assault her entire time in office. She also been very consistently going after her ex in particular her entire time in office. She didn’t “suddenly grow a spine” after loosing her election, she lost her election because she has been doing this the entire time….including pushing to release the Epstein files. She’s got on a lot of people’s bad sides, lost the support of the GOP,  and convinced a lot of people that she’s crazy and that’s why she lost her election.

Mace has been very consistently advocating to protect victims of sexual assault

This is false. It is a rewriting of Mace's story. She actively and unapologetically supports a self-professed sexual assaulter and adjudicated rapist as president.

Her "fight" for victims is political opportunism not moral clarity. Don't let her fool you.

She actually doesn't support Trump. She even authored a bill in which someone who's been federally convicted of child molestation gets the death penalty, which I thought was amazing in its passive aggression.

Make no mistake though, she's still a terrible person. She's been positively gleeful about the raid on Ilhan Omar's house, she wants to deport all brown people - she says in not so many words, she is absolutely hateful towards trans people, she thinks liberal white women are hypocritical idiots and the world would be better off without them, and she thinks only birthright citizens should hold political offices.

You dont get that high in the GOP without supporting the people who are participating in the exact thing she has supposedly been advocating to prevent this entire time.

Really sounds like "the only good abortion is my abortion" nonsense like usual. "Im working with pedophiles to stop pedophiles!"

13

u/Classic-Push1323 7h ago

She isn’t high in the GoP she’s a freshman congresswoman who is about to drop out of politics to run a podcast.

15

u/DoctorJJWho 6h ago

She worked for Trump’s campaign in 2016, then endorsed him in 2024 as a sitting Congresswoman.

-10

u/Classic-Push1323 5h ago

That’s correct. It’s now 2026.

37

u/Fr1toBand1to 8h ago

If she was advocating for sexual assault victims she wouldn't be working for the pedophile president and his entire cadre of sexual miscreants.

-9

u/Classic-Push1323 7h ago

She isn’t. Again - this is why Trump and the GOP establishment campaigned very hard against her. Everyone who pushed for the full files to be released lost their next election. They don’t like her and forced her out.

23

u/Fr1toBand1to 6h ago

She met with the Epstein victims one day, left the room crying refusing to answer questions and then the next day defended trump when he called it all a hoax.

She was working for a pedophile and she knew that fact better than most.

Mace voted for the sexual assault of Trans women. As in, she actively cheered on and supported V-coding, the explicitly state sponsored rape of trans women in prisons.

Get the fuck out of here with your hagiography.

It’s so personal that when you ask her how she can support a sexual abuser (Trump), given how much she wants to protect women, she’ll say you’re rape shaming her. Even though that’s not how that works.

25

u/smallwonder25 10h ago

I’m sorry, what?

75

u/NonSupportiveCup 9h ago

Basically her words when George Stephanopoulos asked her how she can support trump. Called him a bully and refused to answer his question.

23

u/BoilerMaker11 5h ago

Oh, it’s not just George Stephanopoulos. For several years, now, if you ask her how she supports Trump despite being an advocate for sexual assault victims, she’ll say you’re rape shaming her. It’s her fallback to any criticism of her Trump support; not just a one off remark she’s made

29

u/RevLoveJoy 9h ago

Well that's a fast way to lose all credibility.

Dick Cheney: "hey, maybe queer folks are actual human beings with feelings, hopes, dreams, and don't want to be purged!?"

1

u/Routine_Spite8279 7h ago

Republicans can empathize; they cannot sympathize.

104

u/angry-democrat 11h ago

She is still 100% Republican. Horrible person.

62

u/Sanity_in_Moderation 10h ago

Grifter. She's trying to stay relevant until MAGA finally is thrown onto the ash heap of history.

7

u/alghiorso 4h ago

Charlie Kirk's body wasn't even cold before she was yelling that the Dems need to "own this" directly trying to incite violence

38

u/VladTheSnail 9h ago

"she also voted to release the epstein files"

Didn't she also advocate for killing Muslims and other brown people though....? Like obviously these people being charged is a good thing but Nancy mace is still a collosal piece of shit

Nothing good has ever come from this woman.

Yeah let's not let awful people doing the right thing be the enemy of progress. She shouldn't be in government but at least she's not a pedophile and rapist protector.

She just votes for the things they want.

It's entirely different. She thinks so, anyway.

So brave of her to wait until all her prospects were gone

24

u/GallopingOsprey 11h ago

has this actually gone into affect yet? if not what's the likelihood that it will? she's a woman in a rapist controlled congress, i wouldn't hold my breath for actual change, especially from an R on the way out. this is just her trying to save face for the party before the rest vote no after midterms

15

u/spacedman_spiff 11h ago

Not necessarily bad, but certainly self-serving. Luckily for her, she's a sitting member of Congress.

10

u/Cactusfan86 10h ago

Look at her opinions of the Cornell victim sometime, I highly question if any sex crime law written by her would truly be written in such a way to help victims or if it would just be empty window dressing to make her look good

13

u/mixmasterADD 11h ago

Your post is reductively childish. Go clutch your pearls somewhere else fucking clown

13

u/Couchpatator 11h ago

I guess she can have some beans as a reward then.

8

u/canman7373 3h ago

When a normal woman discovers this, they may just leave the man like she did and tell friends and family why. May call to the police, or even on social media. But damn, she spilled it all on the floor of the US Capitol. Those guys had to know they were cooked.

"Another woman who happened to be watching the feed saw the assault and took pictures and wrote about it in a journal". So another woman at the party was just chilling in the surveillance room of the house and saw it all. WTF kind of lives do these people to do all that and also have a surveillance system of every room.

u/Aghast_Cornichon 9h ago

Can Congress actually change Federal court rules ? Could such a law require states to reverse the "American rule" where each party pays their own costs ?

It's pretty rich that Mace proposes defamation protections in civil court when she took advantage of a defamation protection that is available only to 538 people at a time.

3

u/yun-harla 8h ago

Yes — the American rule is just a default principle. Statutes commonly have fee-shifting provisions. (So do contracts.)

1

u/Aghast_Cornichon 4h ago

Sure, I'm familiar with fee-shifting provisions in things like landlord/tenant law, or fee-award local court rules in small claims, or contracts or arbitration agreements that provide for a party to pay or indemnify.

But could a Federal law cause that to change in a state court, for a narrow type of civil claim ?

Or would this only be for Federal defamation cases ?

1

u/theqmann 2h ago

As long as it's not prohibited by the Constitution or the amendments, they can pass any Federal law they want.

6

u/Phillip_Graves 6h ago

Her stance on sexual assault and related crimes are likely the only things most of humanity and her have in common.

7

u/ContextBotSenpai 5h ago

Except she thinks that the Cornell victim is lying.

1

u/HotCut100 1h ago

See? I got all hopeful there for a minute and your comment brought me plummeting back to reality.

1

u/ContextBotSenpai 1h ago

Why would you ever be hopeful that one of Trump's campaign managers, who voted for him THREE TIMES, who's constantly being a racist bigot, who has repeatedly attacked rape victims in the past and supports the rapist running the USA... Why would you ever be hopeful that SHE was being genuine this time?

1

u/HotCut100 1h ago

The hour long speech about sex crimes not getting enough justice and insisting on the Epstein files getting released? I didn’t think she had gone completely over to having integrity, but maybe it was a start? My mistake for having slight optimism and trying to give people a chance to change.

•

u/ContextBotSenpai 25m ago

You're genuinely being weirdly defensive right now.

None of what I said is secret, or hidden, or unknown. She has always been a horrible garbage human being who has never cared about anyone that wasn't herself. She is a racist. She hates gay people and trans people. She says these things OPENLY and OFTEN. She voted for Trump 3 times, knowing full well that he was in the Epstein files and that he's a serial rapist.

A bullshit speech because her political career is over and she wants people to listen to her far-right podcast when she leaves office doesn't even come CLOSE to being a "change" or deserving of optimism.

That's like saying Lindsay Graham deserves "hope" because he disagreed with Trump a couple times.

She cried when she read about the Epstein victims apparently...but said that a reporter was "bullying her" when she was asked why she supported Trump if she was against all Epstein criminals.

I am just tired of people saying that we should have "hope" when one of these despicable human beings says one nice thing, or that we should allow them to "change".

No - every single one of them is just out for themselves, and they don't care about victims of crimes unless THEY are the victim of a crime.

This is what she said about the Cornell victim - https://nypost.com/2026/10/09/us-news/nancy-mace-insists-jane-doe-was-willing-participant-in-cornell-7-consensual-gangbang/

She gave her bullshit speech about women needing to be believed, in February of 2025. She doesn't even believe her own words, why should you?

•

u/FillMySoupDumpling 16m ago

Really? Isn’t she the one backing harassing women, including fellow congresswomen, in the bathroom?

She seems like those performative men who chest thump about fighting pedophiles and then we find out later they had CSAM on their computers the whole time.

It’s good she turned in her ex, but she strikes me as a very unsafe person.

7

u/Immediate_Thought656 10h ago

Don’t worry, she still hates Muslims!

3

u/Olivia4Peace 8h ago

I’m glad she has stood up for sexual assault victims but she shouldn’t have been so shitty to trans people.

1

u/BeTheBall- 6h ago

Yet Nancy also insists that nothing wrong happened to the Cornell Jane Doe.

0

u/Apprehensive_Hat_444 8h ago

"I support rapists and paedophiles, but I really hate the people who raped me!!! Oh and release the Epstein files heeehee"

Bit of an odd stance, ngl.
