Woods

Hello all, I am recently moved to St Johns from Corner Brook and I would like to go into the woods for a boil up and maybe even a grouse hunt. Problem is I have no idea where to go. I am looking for something similar to Lady Slipper road in CB, just a woods road will all kinds of offshoots you can drive or walk down and shoot a grouse if I see one. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Pastureland Road is my go to for boil up’s. Not many grouse around though and a part of the area is closed for shooting.

In CBS theres legion road, Tilleys Road, minerals road, forest road, and so many more. Just get on Google maps and look at any roads that go into the woods. You can get into fowlers road from the tch too just past paddys pond.

In town, you can hit up any trail off the TCH really. Cochrane pond road is a pretty popular spot. Even better if you have a bike. In between kilbride and Petty Harbour as well.

There's literally so many spots where you can go and walk around. Just get on Google maps, and look for a patch of woods close to you and find a trail. They are everywhere.

I wouldn't eat any Grouse you shoot in Bowering Park. They are addicted to meth and puts a weird taste on the meat.

It's a bit of an acquired taste but man I just can't help myself.
