Do you guys ever get curious about how the real-life people portrayed in Narcos: Mexico feel about the series?

Well, according to the Mexican edition of the newspaper El País, Enedina Arellano Félix, aka “La Narcomami,” was not at all pleased with the latest season of Netflix’s Narcos: Mexico.

Why are cartels (seemingly) more violent to familes and "civilians" than the mafia?

In the last few months I've watched a bunch of mafia shows and movies such as Sopranos, Layer Cake, Goodfellas, We Still Kill the Old Way, and more. I just finished the six Narcos seasons and am now watching El Chapo.

One thing I find interesting is the seeming disregard for family and "civilians" that the cartel displays relative to how Italians are portrayed (at least in television). Comparing Italians to Mexicans and Columbians, at least on the surface they seem to hold near identical values (family, tradition, etc.).

The only two potential factors I can think of are poverty and perhaps a lingering religion/culture that existed before Catholicism that still persists? But with Italians, didn't they experience quite a bit of poverty prior to and following their emigration?

I could be completely wrong. I've done quite a bit of travel and lived overseas, in Korea, but have had less exposure to Central and South America outside of some shows and movies.

Narcos "Chaos" line

Trying to find a specific line I remember being spoken in Narcos. I'm pretty sure this was from the original series and not Mexico spin-off, and spoken by Pablo.

The line was something along the lines of "Chaos is opportunity for the clear headed." Tried to find exact ep through google but couldn't.

It's possible I'm misremembering and this was from a different show.

Anyone remember this?

Is it just me or does Felix Gallardo actually feels like Michael from GTA V ?

Edit: I'm not talking about the way they look, but the way they act and behave, their relationships, their ego and the way the way they fuck up their own lives without even realising

Cesar Leon Echavarría alias “Temblor” (Medellín Cartel)

He was the head of Escobar's hitmen; he was recruited by the drug lord following his escape from Bellavista prison in June 1993 to reorganize the criminal network of assassins and military commanders after the severe blow dealt by the death of "El Chopo" and the surrenders of El Arete and Geovany. “Temblor" was killed on September 6, 1993, by SIJIN agents within the jurisdiction of the municipality of Bello. Following Echavarría's death, control of the organization passed to "El Angelito" and the "La Ramada" gang, led by "Jhoncito" and "Japonés."

Following several investigations and with the help of Byron Velásquez ("Quesito"), certain pieces of evidence were uncovered, including the following image. Byron de Jesús Velásquez (alias "Quesito") and a young John Jairo Arias Tascón ("Pinina"). Rubén Darío Londoño (alias "La Yuca") and his close friend Mario Alberto Castaño Molina ("El Chopo"), who would later kill "La Yuca" on Escobar's orders.

What appear to be casual snapshots actually show a day of laughter and relaxation for Pablo Escobar’s hitmen at a mechanic’s shop owned by the Lopera Zabala family. Juan Pablo is seen joking with his friend Geovany—also known as "Yova," "La Modelo," or "Pasarela."

Who were Pablo Escobar's closest and most trusted military commanders during the La Catedral era (1991–1993)?

According to John Jairo Velásquez Vásquez ("Popeye") and Juan Pablo Escobar, they were among the few men who could gain access to "La Catedral" simply by using the intercom—without needing a prior appointment with "El Patrón"—and even had their own rooms there, should they wish to stay for a few days when the situation outside became dangerous.
