I remember that the book itself was a small paperback. The top half-ish of the cover was either purple or a purple wolf's face. The wolf's eyes were the same yellow as the bottom half and the top corners/sides of the cover. The title was short, maybe 3-5 words, something like "the two of us" or "_ twins _", and it was really small and sandwiched right between the wolf's eyes. I want to say that the bottom half was a city street, or maybe it was a girl and a boy facing each other right in the middle, under the title and the wolf's face. The author was at the very bottom of the cover.

I vaguely remember the girl thinking her brother was dead or something before she goes searching the city for either him or another supernatural item/person/creature. She ends up finding him, and they end up either making out or going further by the end of the book. I think there was something about them being twins? In the end, she turns out to be either a normal human or a different supernatural being, but definitely not a werewolf. This may have been part of a series. I think it was maybe part two.

I’m trying to find a contemporary romance I read a few years ago, and the scene I remember most clearly is pretty specific. I’ve been trying to track it down through my Kindle history, but I think the book may be missing from my records.

What I remember about the plot:

• The heroine is a younger woman, possibly in her early 20s, who works as an intern or in an entry-level position at a company connected to her father.
• The hero is significantly older than her and works at the same company, or at a company connected to her father. He and her father are friends, business associates, or have some kind of established professional relationship.
• The hero is childless, and I don’t recall any pregnancy in the storyline
• The story is an explicit, contemporary romance.
• The company they all work for may have been involved in commercial real estate or property development, but I’m not completely certain.

The scene I specifically remember:

The hero and heroine are staying at a hotel during a work trip and have loud s*x in one of their rooms. The heroine’s parents are staying at the same hotel, sharing a room together. Somehow, the parents’ room has been moved or switched so that they’re right next door to the couple.

The next morning, the hero ends up in the hallway while the heroine is still in the room and he overhears her father complaining about the noise from the room next door. When her father sees the hero, he makes a comment along the lines of how he wouldn’t have minded the noise so much if he’d known his friend was the one getting laid.

Then the heroine comes out of his room, her parents put two and two together, and everything explodes into an awkward confrontation.

That’s the scene I remember most distinctly, although I may not have every detail exactly right.

Other details:

• The heroine’s parents are together.
• The hotel is incidental to the story, not the main setting, and may have been part of a work-related trip to inspect a property or warehouse.
• It may have been part of an interconnected series of standalone romances, possibly with a scene at a seafood restaurant involving characters from another book in the series.
• I think it was set in California.
• I mostly read steamy indie/KU contemporary romance, including age-gap, workplace, and forbidden-relationship tropes.

I know some of these details are vague, but the next-door hotel scene and the father’s reaction are what I’m hoping someone recognizes. Does this sound familiar to anyone? I’d especially appreciate specific titles or authors to investigate!

There are 4 characters in this book if I recall correctly. The main character is a highschooler, I believe she is a senior about to go to college. She plays a sport, and idolizes this one underground/forgotten author for a book he wrote years ago. She has a friend who is a few years younger than her that has a crush on her, and as a little surprise he introduces her to the author (the 3rd character who he knows by proxy through an older friend/the 4th character).

I believe upon introduction they crawl through the author’s library window to talk to him and hang out. She essentially has the author on a pedestal and wants to become an author as well. She talks to him and he shuts her down, he doesn’t find her clever or talented at all, but the young boy’s friend, he says is talented and it crushes her inside.

She goes off the rails as everyone laughs at her expense (it seemed like a commentary on sexism and how things that are handed to men women have to fight for, not work for).

She stops participating in a sport she’s considered talented in, she might even stop going to class. She doesn’t want to go to prom. Her life crumbles and she’s depressed. Things start to look up (albeit she feels numb) and it ends with her graduating from high school or being about to graduate from high school. The story ends for her the same was the book she loves ends, she is floating on her back in some sort of body of water (maybe a lake? I’m envisioning weeds, long grass, maybe lily pads)

I checked this book out somewhere between 2017 - 2019 from the library but there are no records of it anywhere (they must have stopped carrying it/erased the records when they did) as a timeline. I got it from the teen section at the time if that helps although it may have been considered a young adult book. It is not Fault in Our Stars or All of this is True fyi. I believe the author was a woman as well.

Ok so I am looking for this book I read on Kindle in 2013-2014. It might have been marketed as YA, but it was definitely not for children.

It was a crime thriller romance book focused on a woman who was on the run for potentially witnessing a crime? I remember something about her seeing a neighbor's garden and him burying something wrapped in a shower curtain, however, she also might have been the one who had the garden/buried something in it. I'm pretty sure she spent a lot of time tending to a garden since she didn't go into town often.

The MMC was a close neighbor, though they were in the mountains, so that's relative. He owned a dog and was either a federal agent or a cop. He frequently checked in on the FMC.

She gets attacked in her home at one point and severely choked out. I remember this because she was told to take a spoonful of honey every few hours (which is when I learned honey could be pretty useful).

I don't exactly remember the cover, but I think it was a view of the mountains. It might've had the standard "FMC/MMC standing close together" on it, but I am not certain.

I've tried looking for it every few years, but no longer have access to that Kindle account.

The manga is about a teen girl who is moving to a new town with her dad. They get lost in a forest and the teen girl goes hiking and comes across a large tree. She climbs it and falls, cutting her hand open. This gave her the power to turn invisible. Days later, she starts her new school and befriends a girl who tells her about the school dynamics. There was a mean girl who hates her because the guy the mean girl likes focuses on the new girl. The teen girl joins a club where all the members have powers. The guy who the mean girl likes tell her that the tree she climbed was the source of all the powers. There was a time where she was given a bathing suit for swim class and it was see-through. The guy gets embarrassed when he sees how see-through it was and covered her with his towel and used his power of phasing through walls to get her to safety.

I would have purchased this as a teen myself somewhere between 1998-2003ish I think. The protagonist was a hacker and he hacks into the communications between Earth and the spaceships. I recall one of the twists being that the soldiers were all genetically modified and grown for the purpose of warfare and were really short, like hobbit sized, to keep the costs of ship building down.

I read this book in the last couple of years and would like to read it again but I cannot remember the title or author.

It’s a romance / women’s fiction story where the woman rents an AirBnB that the homeowner’s son advertised for rent without the homeowner’s knowledge. She lives in the apartment above the barn/garage space and the man lives in the main house with his teenage son. He doesn’t want her there but through circumstance he relents. It’s set in the mountains and she’s looking for something and he’s some kind of law enforcement / rescue person. I believe someone in the story is a musician and the teenager is planning on using the AirBnB money to take a trip or buy a guitar.

There was a book series about generations of a family in an industrial town in England in the 19th century. I think one of the MMCs is called Blaize? The FMC ends up having to marry the brother of the guy she's in love with to save her virtue. The following book follows her daughter I think. There's a lot of class politics about the changes being made as labour moves to machines and social issues like slavery. I think it was probably written in the 70s/80s.

I'm looking for a specific book. Let's start off with what I know for sure. Omega protection officers storm a house where they had that omega's were being stored or sold out of. It was a house. They came into the basement where there were females in cages. Just a few. They were not there as long as the one woman fmc.

The other women came out fast, but this one didn't. 1 mmc sits on the ground outside the cage and talks to her. He keeps the other officers back. His other packmates. He makes a point how she smells. She had not been out of the cage in years. She doesn't know her name. I can't remember what the mmc called her, but she uses it through the book.

She clings on the mmc. Meaning she didn't want him to leave and she freaks out in the ambulance. She is brought to the er where she will not trust others.

Enter mmc nurse. She has a connection with him as well. This guy sticks up for her to the doctors and they aren't happy. He isn't part of the pack. Later on, she will add him to her pack.

Mmc's that are the officer types, (im not totally sure if there are 3 or 4 and add the burse) are investigating the case where they found fmc.

You find out its her parents that were trafficking omegas. They go through the house to find McGee of her parents. You will find that she has a number of dead siblings she didn't even know about. The two that were taking care of the caged omegas were her brothers. Who were brainwashed. She gets then help. Find a number of other siblings.

The parents were selling the others to packs. Their sons. There is one other mystery in the book, but I don't remember.

She doesn't know how to be an omega. How to use phones or anything. She will live with the pick, who fall for her.

(There is an interconnected book. Just other characters introduced. If this might help because there is another I'm looking for.)

When she needs to learn about omega stuff, they cash this organization they held omegas. Her friends she makes will have a slumber party with the omegas.

The one last who runs this organization has a book. Plus her partner.

I can tell you they one, people are protesting what they are doing to help others and at some point it gets on the radio and fmc did interview. Fight outside the stat station.

I read this book in 1997-1998. It was about an adolescent girl living with her father. Her mother is absent/dead?

I remember one scene is about her hiding period stained clothes in a hamper, and then having to figure out how to use a belt, so I'm assuming it's set in the 50s-60s.

I also remember a scene with her and her father in a pickup truck with a box of puppies.

It was a coming off age, awkward, young adult book. Every once in a while it pops in my head and I'll search key words, but nothing comes up.

I read it in middle school english class, around the time we read 'The Outsiders', so probably a similar theme.

From what I remember from this book is a Motorcycle club romance book and the fmc is pregnant with mmc child. So getting to the point in the SUB-PLOT is later in the book and the Prez or VP (sorry can’t remember who) has twin daughters and he makes a deal with either the Irish mafia or the Italian mafia for one of the twins as babies, moreover he makes a deal with them that once they grow up (turn to adults). One of the sons get to marry on of the daughters. It‘s a deal for protection of their area, or whatever can’t remember exactly. The Prez or VP’s old lady finds out and freaks out on everyone, and her husband tries to justify it by saying it’s been happening for a long time even generations before them and doesn’t see what’s wrong with them. So Old Lady basically tells him to live in the clubhouse and the clubs brothers aren’t happy with the deal he made. The fmc now feels anxious of whether or not mmc will do that to her, and mmc assures her that he will never do that to their kids. That’s basically all I remember- I am so sorry of you can’t help me or I’m not being descriptive enough but like that’s all I remember. T-T. (If your able to find the name TYSMMMM! Before I start, it is not Dark Visions. I've done so much research Im beginning to think I made it up or I'm the only person in the world to read it.

What I remember: a group of teens are (possibly lured??l) to a cabin under false pretenses. They all have some sort of ability. I'm pretty sure they didnt know each other.

I don't remember why or how but they end up trapped due to weather conditions. I seem to remember one boy having the ability not to feel pain or cold. He ends up leaving the house on foot to find help because he can't feel the cold. If I remember correctly he can and perhaps did get frostbite he couldn't feel when he got back. Maybe on his face??

I remember nothing else. Not how it ends, nothing.

For the cover I see a girl with dark curly hair under wearing a winter cap and jacket looking scared. Shes outside and the cabin is behind her. I dont believe it was part of a series.

I forgot the name of the author or names of the character. I could only remember the plot. It goes like this:

The rich ML decided to sell the land he inherited from his father (?)/grandfather (?) for commercial use. But the FL along with the lot tenants pleaded for the ML not to, as they live there all their lives. When the ML got into an accident, he woke up with an amnesia. The FL used this as an opportunity to pretend as the ML's wife and to dissuade him from selling the land.

I need help with this book. I tried google before and AI but possible potential responses are not useful at all. I read this in paperback around 2005 to 2011 ish maybe. I can't remember it tbh. I think someone reported her missing, maybe hubby or a close friend of her. In the end it was him the culprit. And he was also a giant douchebag.

Also he was older than her maybe 50ish and she was 35 ish.

Hi. I read this book several years back. It was by a fairly popular author, whom I can’t remenber at this time. If I remember correctly, the girl’s only living parent passes. The girl who is a bad azz goth type girl who has had repeated disciplinary problems in her high school discovers she has a grandmother who is taking her in. On being taking in, after moving to an entirely new town, her grandmother tells her if she will behave herself, conducting herself as a lady, dressing appropriately, and studying so that she graduates with decent grades, the grandmother will make her an heiress of a multimillion dollar fortune. The girl agrees, changing her goth appearance, hair style and color (think the color was purple). Starts attending the new school. She is bullied by the popular kids of the school, has to bite her tongue and not fight back. Eventually she has enough. Returns to school with her former goth style, hair color, etc. beats the means girls, and puts the guys in their place. The book should be a high school or academy bullying book with a bad azz main female lead and why choose romance with the main popular guys. Sorry I can’t remember more but hope this is enough to help someone provide me with an author and title name. Thanks.

This was in my Kindle library, but I think I borrowed it, I purchased and borrowed A LOT of books. It is a horror short story collection. I vaguely remember it has a tree on the cover, as if in rural settings. There was one short story that was weird. This woman has a few sons, if I remember right, one needed a suit for a school dance, and the mother probably helping, but did this in a rather morbid fashion, dug a tuxedo from her father's grave. I think it had a banana in it. It was not for mockery, but I think it was for squeamish comedy.

I thought it was from *Postcards from the Body Farm* by Charolotte O'Farrell, written in 2025, but when I checked the book, which is in my Kindle collection. It does not have any stories that fit this, maybe I am not remembering it correctly.

I could be wrong about this too, but I vaguely remember the collection being from an author named Jean. I wish I could remember the last name, but I cannot. Maybe that might spark some ideas.

I read a book years ago and cannot remember the author or the title.

It is a romantic comedy book.

Things I remember: Heroine is left on the side of the road by her 2 crazy/eccentric aunts, heroine dad is the much younger brother of the aunts who they dote on (I can't remember if it an impression was given that one of the aunts might be the dads real mom). The aunts live in separate houses next to each other or in the same house.

Hero, I think is a cop and encounters heroine on the side of the road walking back to the aunt's house, and she is pissed.

Hero and his brothers were raised by their grandfather and his friend, who is also the butler (I think) and the grandfather and butler used to go on adventures and travel the world before they had to settle to raise the brothers.

I think they live in a town called "Hell", but I could be wrong.

I think the one brother was in book 1 (can't remember what happens there), and this was book 2 - I think that at the end of book 2 the other brother goes on an adventure with his grandfather and butler and don't know if he got his own book. I also think in either the 1st book, the grandfather was held hostage by one or both of the aunts in their house, and he seems to enjoy it; both aunts are attracted to him

I'm not 100% sure if all these scenes belong to the same book, but I have a pretty strong hunch that they do. So, here goes!

Here's what I remember:

• In the initial chapters, the FMC has either gone through a breakup or something has happened with her boyfriend. I'm not entirely sure about this part.

• She has a female best friend whom she calls and talks to about the situation. The FMC has a cruise ticket for two, which I think she was originally supposed to use with her boyfriend. After whatever happened between them, she doesn't want to go anymore.

• Her female best friend tells her that she shouldn't waste the tickets just because of him and encourages her to go anyway. The FMC asks if her friend will come with her, but the friend can't make it.

• So, the FMC calls or texts her male best friend (the MMC). They've apparently been friends for a long time. She tells him about the breakup, and he asks if he should come over.

• For some reason I remember a scene where the FMC realizes she's hungry but has nothing to eat at home. When the MMC comes over, he brings food without her even asking! It's apparently their usual takeout order, and they sit down and eat together.

• While they're eating, the FMC comes up with the idea of taking him on the cruise instead. It's a very impulsive, last-minute decision!

• They go on the cruise, and at some point, a staff member or attendee mistakes them for a couple. I think they initially try to correct the misunderstanding, but eventually, they just go along with it and pretend to be a couple.

• The cruise has some kind of cast reunion or fan event for a TV show. The FMC is a fan of one of the actors, and she gets to meet him. They talk, and he asks her to have dinner with him that evening.

• However, the actor turns out to be kind of creepy, and the MMC isn't happy about her going to dinner with him. I vaguely remember them having a conversation where the MMC asks if she's really going to go, and she says yes, almost like "Why wouldn't I?"

• The MMC then spends the evening wallowing in his room, clearly not wanting her to go on that date. But the FMC gets a weird feeling during the dinner, realizes something is off, and comes back to her room pretty quickly.

And that's pretty much all I've got!

I'm almost certain I haven't finished reading this book because I don't remember anything beyond these scenes. That's probably why I can't find it anywhere on my read list.

I read this a couple of years ago (so published before ~2023) and only remember one scene. A child - I'm fairly sure a boy - is being bullied, and one of the things the bullies do is force him to eat spiders. There's a scene where he throws up afterwards and the spider legs are still twitching in the vomit. I have a feeling it might have been a Stephen King book but I could be wrong. It's definitely an adult novel, not YA or middle grade. That's all I've got - hoping someone knows it.

Fiction book set in late 1800s. Young woman comes yo us as imigrant. She is picked up by widower and his young son. This is a prearranged marriage. He married her and takes her to his farm out west. The husband is cold toward her but she developed a close relationship with the son. I think they are Scandinavian possibly. She has a baby. They all get ill and the husband and baby die. At the end she sees a relative of the husband come across the fields to help her. He seems kind so the ending leads you to believe they will fall in love. I read this book about twenty years ago and it was an old hardback library book.

The basic plot was "orphan Wilhelm arrives to a mountain school, everything sucks but nothing as much as him ("murder is my only passion" vibes), he leaves because ???, meets a girl (he doesn't romance), somehow learns to clone himself, ???, he decides to leave but to leave a clone behind to keep company to the girl (who doesn't know of this ability) but she notices and is mad, ???"

At one point the girl is attacked and the healer says he'll need "the hand of whoever struck her". Wilhelm takes this literally but another guy convinces him he wanted the whole man alive (guy was right, culprit stays with them, girl is saved).

Also at the beginning the old man who takes him in ask for his last name and when there is none he names him (in French translation, who knows the original) Wilhelm Nothing At All.

I'm not sure how to explain the genre, it was definitely self-aware had are but also genuinely a good book, not a parody or anything? I think, I may have been too young to judge accurately. He may not even be called Wilhelm tbh, I'm convinced he was but since the search gives nothing I must be wrong.

I've been looking for over a decade (read around 2010), thank you for any ideas!

It's about a lady that left home while pregnant and was given a million dollars by a grandmother then she goes to a foreign country and meets a playboy that has a nice mother and she helps that family grow the company to a billion dollar before going back to her country where she meets her step mom and sister who call her names and say she is not worth it, the step sister then sleeps with the husband and promises to take everything from her just like she has before. The husband doesn't go home for more than two weeks and when he returns he starts being extremely arrogant. Please direct me if you have read about it
