Assalamu Alaikum brothers and sisters,

I am developing a free Islamic app designed to help Muslims remember Allah (Dhikr) while using their phones, along with Quran reading and Athkar features.

This app is created strictly as Sadaqah Jariya (صدقة جارية) for all deceased Muslims. It contains no ads, no tracking, and no monetization whatsoever.

Why I need your help: Google Play Store now requires all new developer accounts to have 12 opt-in testers test the app for 14 continuous days before publishing it publicly to the Play Store.

If you have an Android device and are willing to help test it:

1. Please send me a private message (DM) or comment below with your Gmail address (required to add you to the Google Play Closed Testing group).
2. I will send you the official Google Play opt-in testing link.
3. Keep the app installed for 14 days.

Jazakum Allahu Khairan for your help and support!

As-salamu alaykum,Because I spend most of my workday inside ChatGPT, I built [Muslim Prayer Reminder](https://chatgpt.com/plugins/plugin_asdk_app_6a9bca660b2c8191a1146aa615cad6f5) to check prayer timetables, verify due status, and set up prayer reminders directly in chat. Most prayer apps hide which calculation authority they default to, or interrupt you with full-screen ads when you just want to know if prayer time has arrived. Here is what this plugin actually does:* **Daily timetable + status checks**: Returns Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, and Isha in your local timezone with automatic DST adjustment. Sunrise is shown separately as a timetable reference, not an obligatory prayer.* **Scheduled task reminders**: Works with ChatGPT Scheduled Tasks to periodically check your prayer status and alert you when prayer is due during your workday.* **12 calculation methods + Shafi/Hanafi Asr**: Supports Umm al-Qura, Muslim World League, Egyptian General Authority, Karachi, ISNA (North America), and 7 others. Every response states the exact authority used and why it was selected.* **Saved fixed city + timetable order validation**: Save your default city, calculation authority, and per-prayer minute offsets. Before saving custom offsets, the service validates them against today’s and tomorrow’s timetables so an offset cannot push prayer events into an invalid sequence.* **Travel mode + high-latitude disclosure**: Query any city or coordinate/timezone pair on the fly without overwriting your saved home settings. In high-latitude or polar locations where standard formulas fail, it explains the exact approximation applied so you can cross-check with your local masjid.* **Bilingual reminder checks**: Checks whether a prayer reminder is due during your chat session in Arabic or English, with duplicate-check suppression.Try these prompts:* "What are today’s prayer times in Riyadh?"* "Check if any prayer is currently due."* "Save Riyadh as my fixed city, use the Umm al-Qura calculation method, and select Hanafi for Asr."The plugin is completely free—no subscriptions, ads, or purchases: [Open Muslim Prayer Reminder on ChatGPT](https://chatgpt.com/plugins/plugin_asdk_app_6a9bca660b2c8191a1146aa615cad6f5)If you test it with your city or local mosque timetable, let me know if any calculation method or offset behavior needs refinement.

Assalamu alaikum everyone,

I’m the founder of NoorConnect. We’ve developed a smart prayer mat with a companion app to help children and new Muslims learn Salah step by step.

The mat detects prayer movements and works with the app to provide learning guidance. Our aim is to help users become more confident and eventually less dependent on prompts.

One thing we’re learning from families is that more technology doesn’t always mean a better experience. Setup needs to be simple, and the pace of the guidance needs to work for everyday life. Some users have told us the recitation feels too slow, so we’re considering how to improve that experience.

I’d love to hear from people interested in Islamic education, hardware, app development or UX:

• How would you design the transition from guided practice to independent prayer?

• What would make a learning tool like this useful rather than distracting?

• Have you worked on a similar project or faced similar challenges?

To be transparent, NoorConnect is a commercial product and I’m its founder. I’m here to share what we’re building and learn from the community, rather than ask anyone to buy it.

Jazakum Allahu khayran for your thoughts.

How to Use NoorConnect Smart Prayer Mat | Complete Beginner Guide

This post was drafted with AI assistance and reviewed by me.

Ta allows you to get word by word meaning and tashkeel for any Arabic text that you paste so that you can learn Arabic by reading exactly what you want to read with minimal context switching.

Available on Play Store:

I'm a software engineer based in NYC, and I've been working on Yusr, a modern Quran companion app.

https://apps.apple.com/app/id6796184860

My goal was to bring a clean, modern experience to something meaningful: helping Muslims connect with the Quran and build better daily habits.

It includes Quran reading, recitations, translations, progress tracking, and daily reminders, with support for English, Arabic, and French.

Still improving it one feature at a time. Would genuinely love feedback from fellow developers and designers!

Alsalam alikom!

I built HalaLaunch: a weekly launchpad only for Islamic apps.

This solves the problem of Islamic apps made by small teams being buried by the big names, whether in the app stores or on general launch sites like Product Hunt.

How it works:

- As an app maker, you can submit your app / website or import it from the App store all for free

- New apps launch every Monday, and people upvote the ones they like

- The top three become that week's winners

- Every submission is reviewed by hand, including a halal-content check

- Makers can see how many people clicked through to their App Store or website

9 apps are live this week, 6 are queued for next week. Thank you so much for everyone in this community who submitted their apps lat week!

If you've built an Islamic app (Quran, prayer, learning, kids, finance, anything), I'd love for you to launch it. And I'd really value feedback on the site itself: what's confusing, sand what's missing?

Assalamu alaikum everyone,

I’m a solo Android developer, and I’d like to share my app, Pocket Links. It’s a place to save the links you want to come back to: articles, videos, recipes, tutorials, anything you find while browsing.

What it does:

• Save links from any app via the share menu
• Organize them with folders and tags
• Unlimited links and folders
• Advanced search
• Folder shortcuts, multiple layouts for links and folders, and a dark theme
• Free Google Drive backup, plus local backup on your device
• Available in 35 languages
• No ads, no AI, no account required

Pro subscription adds:

• Cloud storage and sync across all your devices
• Offline reading for saved pages
• Home screen widgets

Tech stack, for the devs here: Kotlin, Clean Architecture, Hilt, Room, Retrofit. I’m currently migrating the UI from XML to Jetpack Compose. The backend runs on Ktor + PostgreSQL.

Any feedback on the app is welcome. JazakAllahu khairan!

I’m also happy to answer any questions about Android development, app promotion, marketing or pricing. I’ll gladly share what I’ve learned from building and launching my own apps.

Salam aleykum all,

Nothing to promote other than my hijrah/relocation journey to Indonesia, which I started sharing on YouTube. I'm talking a bit of everything on the Channel, from how I'm making money online to VISA and residency permits.

The main motivation and idea behind my Channel is that I wish I had access to this kind of information before making hijrah to Indonesia. And I'm sure so many can benefit from this Channel in the future if they have a similar plan on moving to Indonesia.

I will start talking more about finding land and building houses here as some have asked about it in the comments.

I'm in Riau Islands btw, not Lombok or Bali. Riau is a true hidden gem in Indonesia, not many know about this province.

Here's a link to my Channel, it's called (Ali the Islander) if you want to check it out.

Salam.

Salamu Alaikum,

Ozzie is a Quran experience for kids (age 6-12) we put so much effort during the last year, we finish pilot stage, and we are looking for parent to install it (iOS or Android) use it with their kids, and fill out a survey with us for validation.... in exchange for 1 year free subscription when we fully rollout.

What Ozzies does:

1. Whole experience is gamified for fun and engagement, all lead by our IP mascot...Ozzie.

2. Lessons are broken down on verse level.

3. each lesson is composed of (a) comprehension where child understand verse meaning with tafsir and illustration suitable for his/her age (b) Quran recitation and feedback using our in-house developed pipeline model.

its easier to show than to explain, so if you have interest:

1. visit our website www.myozzie.app for more details

2. if you are hooked up and willing to support by going through the experience www.myozzie.app/pilot

Thank you all.

Salam everyone,

I just dropped my first app, as a solo Muslim dev.
I was interested in learning the names of Allah and all that comes with them.

I decided to make an app that covers these names daily, with Hadith related to them, their mentions in the Quran, duas calling on them, as well as the regular prayer times, qibla, and widgets.

I’d love if you guys could check it out and dm me some feedback if you have any.

Salam everyone, I'm the solo developer of Namaz: Prayer Times & Quran for iPhone. I shared it here a few months ago and have kept improving it based on feedback. Latest update (1.0.8):

• Dhikr counter as a Live Activity (Lock Screen & Dynamic Island) + Control Center control

• Prayer Tracker widget – mark prayers right from the Home Screen

• Verse & dua widget that rotates through the day

• Apple Watch dhikr counter with Digital Crown

• Prayer times now shown in the selected city's local time

It also has 15 calculation methods (Hanafi/Shafi), adhan alerts, qibla compass, the full Quran with audio, tafsir, 99 Names, zakat & qada calculators, and 18 languages. It includes an optional AI assistant for general information only (not a fatwa).

It's free; Premium (removes ads, unlocks all widgets) is optional. Core prayer features stay free.

I'd really appreciate honest feedback – what's missing or annoying? Anything you'd want for Ramadan?

Hi r/opensource, I'd like to share a project I've been working on: Muslim Launcher 2, a free and open source Android launcher.

The idea: distracting apps are locked by default. To unlock them, you spend time on something meaningful first: reading the Quran, doing dhikr, or reflecting on authentic hadith.

Highlights:

• Dhikr counter with on-device face-presence detection
• Gambling and adult-content apps are blocked permanently
• 6 languages supported
• Open code, so anyone can audit exactly what an app with Accessibility permissions is doing

You're welcome to use it, fork it, or take the ideas for your own projects. Issues, PRs, and translations are very welcome.

I am new reverted muslim, and i need a halah work from home so can someone help me to find any work?.

Assalamu alaikum,

Adhan is a free, ad-free prayer companion in the browser. Pick your city and you're set.

Today

• Daily prayer times (your calculation method + Asr method; both Asr times shown)
• Current prayer, next-prayer countdown, Hijri date, calm sky theme
• Salah tracker (fard, Sunnah, adhkar, Qur'an pages, streaks)
• Journal (mood, notes, reflection, dua / quote / hadith)
• Zakat calculator and yearly records
• Ayah & hadith of the day, share as image cards, or ayah as a short video with Mishary Alafasy recitation
• Optional Google Drive sync across devices

Works on phone and desktop. On iPhone use Safari → Share → Add to Home Screen;

on Android you can pin it from the browser the same way. Data stays on your device unless you turn on Drive sync.

Coming next: more polish and features.

Try it: adhan-web.vercel.app

Feedback and bugs welcome.
