I'm building a [[Lagrella, the Magpie]] deck and want to add [[Threefold Signal]] to it, but I'm unsure as to how this cards would interact.
My gut instinct says that:
- the copy of Lagrella would be "on top of" the main spell and thus resolve first
- the copy would resolve and the ETB ability of the copy would be put on the stack on top of the original Lagrella spell
- the ETB ability would resolve before the original Lagrella spell, exileing some creatures
- the main Lagrella spell resolves, and state based actions
kill (remove due to state based actions?) the copy
- The copy's "leave" trigger goes on the stack
- the main Lagrellas ETB goes on the stack on top of the copy's leave trigger, and resolves before the copy's trigger
So basically I would get an instant use of Lagrella's full ability and another ETB (granted that the second ETB could not target the targets of the copy's triggers becuase it would be put on the stack before the copy's leave trigger resolves).
Is this correct or am I missing something?
(edited to remove confusion with state based actions "killing" the copy as it does not trigger ondeath effects)
