I’ve been thinking about Mark Turner’s record as mayor of Morgan Hill and whether our city is getting the leadership it deserves.
A few things concern me:
Leadership and unity: The public conflict among city leaders raises questions about how effectively our elected officials are working together.
Transparency and accountability: Residents deserve clear communication and confidence that disagreements are handled fairly.
City finances: Morgan Hill faces a structural budget deficit. What’s the long-term plan to protect services and taxpayers?
Results: We need measurable progress on public safety, education, housing, and quality of life—not just goals and speeches.
I’m interested in hearing how others feel about Mark Turner’s performance and whether Deborah Africa could offer a different approach.
What do you think Morgan Hill needs most from its next mayor? What specific results should residents expect from whoever leads the city?
I’d welcome informed, respectful discussion from people who live here and follow local government.
