Need Advice | Зөвлөгөө авъя Is gap year worth it

Hello I’m 12th grade student and I’m really busy to prepare for EYSH as of right now due to personal and family problems. I was planning to study for both SAT and EYSH and try for Cybersecurity in SHUTIS but with my current schedule it is really hard to do so until mid to late winter and I fear it might be too late by then. So I don’t know if I should take a gap year and do things I won’t be able to do if I get into university while exploring myself and researching more career options for my future. My parents can afford it and I am also planning to make more money if I do take a gap year.

It’s honestly ironic of me to post it at 3 AM and say these things

I took 3 gap years and now I'm finishing my bachelor's in a great university. My head hasn't fallen off and life is just fine. Obviously don't wait forever and don't do it without a goal but 1 gap year is just fine

Are you 100% set on studying in SHUTIS? If so, I'd say you should prepare and still try giving eysh and applying in 2027. You can switch your major within SHUTIS. I think it's best to start asap if you want to study in Mongolia. Otherwise, if you're interested in studying abroad, then totally go for the gap year. It will bring a lot of good opportunities. Just make sure not to waste it and to do things related to your potential majors :))

I think it is actually useful if you make most out of it.
