Technology | Технологи Cassette tapes

Hi i wanna give a cassette tape with a player and earphones for my boyfriend on new years but im wondering if its too old fashioned and if there's any places that burn[?] songs into cassette tapes and I just wanna see yk. I found a place that sells empty cassette tapes because there were no cassette tapes w the songs my bf listens to so yeah im wondering if yall could help me out 😅

Ik that new years is like 2 months away but I just wanna be prepared.

I think there are cassette players that can burn songs onto empty tapes already :)

You don't burn cassette, you hit record on your player then start play the second tape. You have to sit and wait for the song to end before hitting the record button again to turn it off. Rinse and repeat.

Hopefully you already have the two tape stereo because I doubt some one readily provides this service and it kind of defeats the point to do so.

It's kind of fun to do and maybe thoughtful as an old school mix tape gift, but honestly cassette is not a great format. I'm not sure why it's still a thing. CDs are easier to make but you need a CD burner and writeable disc to burn.
