buyer beware

I had a house along elm street, currently listed at 165,000, professionally inspected. My inspection identified deterioration of the stone foundation, including missing/displaced stones and deteriorated or missing mortar. It also identified a deteriorated footing supporting a structural post and pooling water in the basement. The inspector recommended further professional evaluation. I requested that the foundation concerns be addressed, but the seller declined to undertake the repairs or lower the price. I decided not to proceed on those terms. The issues weren't even included in the property disclosure statement. Anyone considering the property should obtain their own independent inspection.

The State of NB-895

Can anyone fill me in on what happened with the NB-895 road? Why the work was done, what was done, when it may become properly paved again (if ever) if it's not already. If there's a place I should be keeping tabs on to know that would be appreciated as well.

For context I'm a cyclist and the 895 is unavoidable to a degree as part of my "more interesting" routes that go out to the reservoir and then onto Nixon to various areas, so thus why I'm interested. I just didn't go that way last year or this year aside from Coverdale all the way to Salisbury or opting for going straight to Caledonia Mountain via the reservoir. Those are both fine but variety is nice.

Thanks!
