r/BubblePop doesn't appear in the search bar dropdown, even though settings look correct

• Upvotes

Hello admins,

I moderate r/BubblePop, a community for the game Bubble Pop. When users type the game's name into the Reddit search bar, our community does not appear in the community suggestions dropdown. Other communities with very low activity do appear, so this doesn't seem to be a traffic threshold issue.

Here's what I've already checked:

  1. Community settings (from r/BubblePop/about.json):

- over18: false

- subreddit_type: public

- allow_discovery: true

- quarantine: false

  1. Autocomplete API: When logged in as the moderator, /api/subreddit_autocomplete_v2.json?query=bubblepop&include_over_18=true does return r/BubblePop as the first result. However, since I'm a moderator and subscriber, I'm not sure whether this reflects what regular users see.

  2. Non-subscriber test:Tested with an account that hasn't joined r/BubblePop, and the community does not appear in the search dropdown.

For context, the community was created about three weeks ago (late September 2026) and currently has 2 subscribers.

Could you check whether r/BubblePop is being excluded from search suggestions for any reason (e.g., new community filtering or a spam flag), and let me know if there's anything I can do on my end to make it discoverable?

Thanks for your help!

[Firefox Android] Error while modifying auto enforcement actions

The recent Rules Hub implementation enables auto enforcement by default with 'Report' action. It's constantly erroring while attempting to change the action and can only be disabled. This severely impacts the usability of a very good feature. Do I have to do anything from my side to fix this issue or is it a bug in the feature itself?

Admin Replied Unable to manually ban users from my subreddit. Bug or ban limit? [iOS]

One of the subreddits I mod is NSFW and I have been having issues manually banning users.

It says “User… ban changes saved,” but then displays “Sorry, please try again later.” My banned-users list still shows “No banned users,” and I can’t find any ban history in archived Modmail.

Is this a known bug, a temporary issue, or is there a limit on how many users a subreddit can ban? Has anyone else experienced this?

Mod Answered Does the {{date %B %d, %Y}} code work for scheduled posts?

Hey everyone, I've decided to start Weekly Discussion Threads in my subreddit, and I was told that if I put {{date %B %d, %Y}} in the title, each weekly post will automatically show the corresponding date. Is this true?

Dealing with bug as a mod, what is expected response time after posting in r/bugs? Dealing with a glitch where an automation is enabled somewhere on the backend yet was never set, so users are getting told they don’t meet the community requirements and can’t post, when there are none set.

Hi, I posted in r/bugs yesterday but not sure if and when I should expect a response from admin. How long does it usually take, and are mod posts prioritized? People can’t even post in my sub so trying to get it fixed asap and not get buried/ignored.

Mod Topics Ahead of Mod World: How has AI affected the way you moderate, if at all?

Hey there, it’s u/iceeypisces from the Mod Events team back with another Mod Topics post! Last time I dropped in, we chatted about which sessions y’all would like to see at this year’s Mod World. We received so many amazing proposals in that post and through our call for proposals (thank you to everyone who shared their brilliant ideas).

One of our most requested session topics was moderation in the age of AI. So of course, we’re hosting a mod-led panel to discuss how AI integrates with community oversight, the challenges it brings, and why the human touch is still indispensable.

To warm up for the show, we’d love to kick off the conversation early with this question: How has AI influenced the ways you moderate your communities today? We're interested in hearing how your moderation has (or hasn't) changed, how users have been responding, any helpful tools or suggestions, or however else your community has been impacted. Share your thoughts and experiences in the comments below!

🌏 And if you haven’t already, RSVP for Mod World 2026 to catch our Modding in the Age of AI mod panel live!

Admin Replied Is anyone else having issues with already removed comments still appearing in the mod queue?

For about a day or so, I've been seeing repeat reported or reddit removed comments appear in my mod queue after I have already removed them and gave reasons to the removal. Is it just a glitch on my end? I see it both on desktop and the app.

Admin Replied Switch to Public from Restricted

I've become a mod of r/anarquismo and noticed it was probably set as restricted years ago by someone probably not on reddit anymore. It is my understanding that I need to request this here so please make it public as I don't see a "Community type" setting under "Mod Tools"

Unable to clear queue. If I have to remove an item in the queue on iOS it will not remove from the actual queue. It stays queued up as shown in picture below.

Admin Replied I'm over it!

Reddit Admins..... I am over it! I am over the boilerplate responses to actual real-time issues that moderators are having.

I moderate a large sub and have for nearly a year now. Unfortunately, we have had 4 very serious incidents in which members of our mod team were being harassed, stalked, doxxed, attacked, etc. We have submitted the ModCoC reports, submitted the DMs to admins, and reported the posts/comments/users ad nauseam, and NOTHING has been done.

Most recently, as our sub is currently under a brigading attack and doxxing and harassment continue, one of our mods reached out to one admin, who basically said something to the effect of--- "This is actually something that is going to be discussed at ModWorld. Do you have any examples we can give the presenter?"

Seriously? This is all you have to offer?!?! We don't need a speech about how much you care about mods and what we do. We don't need the free swag for attending a mod event. We don't need the profile trophies. Those are all wonderful and appreciated. BUT, what we need is ACTUAL Support and ACTION being taken when we bring you serious issues.

It takes entirely too long for someone in admin to take action. Meanwhile, your volunteer mods are being doxxed, harassed, bullied, and so forth because we removed a post/comment, and the user was mad.

For the love of all things good in this world, PLEASE DO SOMETHING! Please don't try to placate us with boilerplate responses and "We'll have someone look into it" without actually doing that!

I am tired. I am frustrated. I am hurt and disappointed. Not because users are jerks sometimes. But because the admin does absolutely nothing to make this a safe place or to support those of us who volunteer our time to try and make Reddit a better place.

I have had members of my mod team leave after the most recent incident. Our sub is currently closed due to the harassment and brigading that have been done. I am at my wits' end and ready to just turn the sub over to the wolves and leave Reddit for good.

Admin Replied Safety_Spamurai question

Hi! Looking through old history on questions asked about this seems shaky. I noticed the user Safety_Spamurai approved content in my subreddit that should have been removed for breaking rules. Could I prevent this in the future? It's never made any other actions in the subreddit, and isn't one of our bots so I was surprised to see it doing anything at all. It's not on our mod list so im assuming its some sort of admin account.

Mod Answered Repeated ban evasion

What can we do besides report/ban/mute a continual ban evader who sends harassing mod mail and makes accusatory and negative posts about our mods and sub on other subs that are topically ajacent to ours? We also send in reports but this person just keeps up making new accounts and threatening and harassing one mod in particular.

Admin Replied Can't save banner or icon images on desktop or mobile

I've created a couple of new communities but can't seem to update the banner or icon images after creation. I can upload the images but there's no option to save them. It's as if the save button is just below my screen but I can't find a way to scroll up. Has anyone else encountered this problem?

ETA: I created the communities using desktop. During the initial creation, I was able to add a banner image and save it but now that the community is active, I can't get a save button to appear whenever I try to update the banner or icon image.

Admin Replied Mod code of conduct question - affiliate links

I’ve seen 2 subs come up this morning where it’s basically the lone mod posting a product review video of sorts then in the comments typing out a review with an affiliate link to Amazon. Looks automated.

Is this allowed as part of mod CoC to run a sub and affiliate link? Feel like this is breaking the rules.

[Android] Approving my own post shows “Something went wrong” [2026.41.0.2641080]

After publishing a post in a community I moderate, I tried to approve it using the mod tools on my post. Instead of completing the action normally, the app showed “Something went wrong.”

This happened on content that I had posted myself.

[Desktop & Mobile] — Custom Emojis for Mods Only show up as “:Name:”

I would like to have the actual emoji itself show up rather than it say “:moderator:” (which is what I titled mine to say)

I cleared my cache, tried reuploading the emoji, retitled it, only toggled it on mods only on desktop, etc. and nothing works! It only shows up as an actual emoji if I turn off mods only.

Admin Replied Is there a way to view a user's history in my sub?

I realise I might be asking an obvious question but I haven't really moderated very long and the sub I moderate isn't very active.

I want to view the history for a user. I can see the moderator log but not their user log.

Is there a way to see everything they've posted/commented in my sub?

I exclusively use the reddit app.

I have tried searching but the answers all direct me to see the mod log but I want to see everything not just where they've interacted with a mod.

Admin Replied Report abuse button bug?

Someone reported an automatic removal mod message, so I reported the message for report abuse.... And my own report abuse showed up in our mod queue as a report.

Brilliant.

Admin Replied Mods shouldn’t have to use AutoMod to establish Community Karma thresholds for posts. It should be an integrated feature of Mod Tools.

My sub is OVER RUN with posts that violate rule one, created by low karma/non member accounts. For a lot of people, I think learning how to use Auto Mod can be a pain the ass. To lessen spam, I really think we should integrate it into our regular Mod Tools.

Admin Replied Community harasser with no real help from Reddit/Authorities

We’ve been dealing with this for almost a year in our sub. The harasser submits comments and posts encouraging acts of violence and other disturbing content. At this point, we’re at 357 banned accounts and 500 posts/comments.

We’ve had no success in getting anyone to take this seriously. There have been terroristic threats, calls against public officials, and still radio silence from the FBI, local authorities, and Reddit (FBI previously told another mod that Reddit stonewalled them).

He’s getting more creative with his alt account user names. They have become more unique in an especially heinous way. I can’t list the most recent user name as it would get me banned with seconds. I can’t understand how Reddit would even let it through.

This is reaching a breaking point and has taken its toll psychologically on everyone involved.

Cannot schedule Link type posts that have body text, scheduler button greys out

See images in my comment for more context. My fellow mods and I are trying to schedule a post that is a link, with a body of text attached. As soon as we enter any text in the body field, the schedule option greys out. This did NOT happen before, and is happening no matter which mod is attempting to schedule the post.

The link on its own works fine to schedule, we just cannot add any body text. We used to be able to do this before.
