Admin Replied Mods shouldn’t have to use AutoMod to establish Community Karma thresholds for posts. It should be an integrated feature of Mod Tools.

My sub is OVER RUN with posts that violate rule one, created by low karma/non member accounts. For a lot of people, I think learning how to use Auto Mod can be a pain the ass. To lessen spam, I really think we should integrate it into our regular Mod Tools.

Community harasser with no real help from Reddit/Authorities

We’ve been dealing with this for almost a year in our sub. The harasser submits comments and posts encouraging acts of violence and other disturbing content. At this point, we’re at 357 banned accounts and 500 posts/comments.

We’ve had no success in getting anyone to take this seriously. There have been terroristic threats, calls against public officials, and still radio silence from the FBI, local authorities, and Reddit (FBI previously told another mod that Reddit stonewalled them).

He’s getting more creative with his alt account user names. They have become more unique in an especially heinous way. I can’t list the most recent user name as it would get me banned with seconds. I can’t understand how Reddit would even let it through.

This is reaching a breaking point and has taken its toll psychologically on everyone involved.

Admin Replied Mod code of conduct question - affiliate links

I’ve seen 2 subs come up this morning where it’s basically the lone mod posting a product review video of sorts then in the comments typing out a review with an affiliate link to Amazon. Looks automated.

Is this allowed as part of mod CoC to run a sub and affiliate link? Feel like this is breaking the rules.

Admin Replied Devvit apps not firing?

I just banned two users who were flagged by Reddit for ban evasion, but for some reason evasion guard didn't trigger on them.

I reported them both to bot bouncer, and they instantly got tracked as banned there, but botbouncer didn't trigger a ban either so I manually banned them.

Is the devvit platform experiencing issues today?

Admin Replied Is there a way to view a user's history in my sub?

I realise I might be asking an obvious question but I haven't really moderated very long and the sub I moderate isn't very active.

I want to view the history for a user. I can see the moderator log but not their user log.

Is there a way to see everything they've posted/commented in my sub?

I exclusively use the reddit app.

I have tried searching but the answers all direct me to see the mod log but I want to see everything not just where they've interacted with a mod.

Mod Answered I'm a su owner in NZ: what's the right route to schedule our own posts to our own sub?

Hi all. I run r/MotorBuzz, a car culture community with about 250K weekly visitors. We post our own original articles around 15 a day.

I'm in New Zealand, so the best times for our UK and US audience fall in the middle of my night. At the moment I post everything by hand in one batch at a poor time. I'd like to spread the posts through the day, and use the metrics on our own posts to monitor engagermet and improve our posts.

I've read the Responsible Builder Policy. As I understand it, moderator access covers moderation actions only, Devvit covers non-commercial apps, and anything commercial needs enterprise approval. We're a small publisher, so I'm not sure which one fits. The scope is small: submit our own posts to our own subreddit from our own account, and read metrics on those posts. We don't read other users' content or collect user data.

I've sent the request through the form and the commercial contact, but haven't heard back. Two questions:

  1. Which route do other subreddit owners with a case like this use?
  2. Is there anything that helps a request get reviewed?

[Android] Approving my own post shows “Something went wrong” [2026.41.0.2641080]

After publishing a post in a community I moderate, I tried to approve it using the mod tools on my post. Instead of completing the action normally, the app showed “Something went wrong.”

This happened on content that I had posted myself.

Admin Replied Report abuse button bug?

Someone reported an automatic removal mod message, so I reported the message for report abuse.... And my own report abuse showed up in our mod queue as a report.

Brilliant.

[Desktop & Mobile] — Custom Emojis for Mods Only show up as “:Name:”

I would like to have the actual emoji itself show up rather than it say “:moderator:” (which is what I titled mine to say)

I cleared my cache, tried reuploading the emoji, retitled it, only toggled it on mods only on desktop, etc. and nothing works! It only shows up as an actual emoji if I turn off mods only.
