Karen Fukuhara is the PERFECT choice to be taking on the role as Faith.
On the side note: she’s in the talks to take on the role as Ada Wong for A24’s Resident Evil movie.

Information on how to join the public test is available on our website: https://beatrevival.me
We will be providing support on our Discord server: https://discord.gg/FGftmuRrrG
(We hope this makes a good 10th anniversary present!)

Over time, there have been quite a few Discord servers created in this community, and I thought it would be good to have a list that includes them all. The ones I've found so far are:
Mirror's Edge Modding - A server about modding the original Mirror's Edge
Mirror's Edge Catalyst Modding - A server about modding Mirror's Edge Catalyst
Catalyst - Mirror's Edge Catalyst Speedrunning, also has general and modding discussions
Edge Discord - Original Mirror's Edge Speedrunning
Mirror's Edge - A server about everything Mirror's Edge related, including mods and multiplayer
Mirror's Edge: City of Glass - A roleplaying server, theme is both games
Mirror's Edge Multiplayer - Find other players to play the Original Mirror's Edge Multiplayer Mod with
Mirror's Edge Multiplayer - Find other players to play the Original Mirror's Edge Multiplayer Mod with (yes, there are two of these servers)
Scanning Gridprint... - Scanning gridprint... (not the most serious server)
Mirror's Edge : Initiation - The fanmade prequel game mod that recreates the story from the comic of the original Mirror's Edge
Beat Revival Discord - A project that aims to bring back online functionality for the PC version of Mirror's Edge Catalyst
There is also the Frosty Toolsuite discord server for MEC modding, but you'll just have to find the link yourself for now, it shouldn't be hard to track down.
If you know of any other ones, feel free to leave a comment or send me a private message about them here and I'll see if we can get them added to the list. Same goes if you're the server admin and want your server to be taken off this list, of course!

If you want to print it yourself, please be mindful that some pics are lower than 300 dpi (lowest is 247 dpi).

Did anyone had the experience of just rage quitting the game aswell? I wanted to love this game but every jump I made was wrong, some wallrides didnt connect, and most importantly level design is HORRIBLE never knew where to go and got stuck in the blue building with scaffolding in one of the first missions, the game is beautiful mess.

I’ve only played the 2009 game, and i’m planning to play the catalyst game as well. But i have a feeling the first game is so much better in terms of story?

additional pictures for other areas that are introduced later in game
with a roughly selected screenshots collection [*nah sorry met some problems with bloody shitass google there] (200+ pics)
I'll start with the most simplified way, and if that doesn't cover enough then I will keep making addition
-So the main idea is to combine ReShade sharpening effects to boost graphic clearity, which allows you to use a lower res upscale setting in game to achieve similar result of higher of that, saving a lot performance, while dealing with the colour aspects.
So it will be basically 3 things: game setting, ReShade and modding.
-game setting is the nearest to hands, just drag the resolution scale higher in the video settings.
-for ReShade, you can download it here at 'ReShade Home', during installation at the section choosing 'effects', make sure you got 'SweetFX ...' and 'Legacy effects' selected. Then you can download my configuration: this [*see below in comments] and put it to the game's main folder. There will be an in-game menu and you can then switch to it.
For checking, there will be 4 effects used: 'Luma Sharpen', 'Adaptive Sharpen', 'Colourfulness' and 'HSLShift'. Select/Unselect to view difference. You can try tweak it yourself and try other combinations, but that's just what I always go with.
-for modding, first you need to get Frosty Mod Manager v1.0.6.3 installed and then just go to Mirror's Edge Catalyst Mods - Nexus for mods, the most necessary one would be Disable Runners Flow Color Correction by zhpete. The description there would explain it better than me.
I recommend having a nice time browsing all the existing mods out there, but personally my select is focused on the most resent drops regarding enhancing immersion. For example you got Traffic Tweaks and it has a version banning all the drones.

It's just that I made a prototype 1 or 2 years ago, but after talking to a friend, I was convinced otherwise. He was like, 'Who are you even doing this for? 2 or 3 fans?' and he was like, 'Don't waste your time.' So in the end, I did end up wasting my time just not on the project. kek

*and with colour correction/desaturation
It is simply GORGEOUS. The screenshots are all raw captures with ReShade in game, and I am using an RTX2060, which is fairly not a cutting edge vcard at this day. I originally started with 2.0 ratio, which is awesome but my videocard would not handle that at ease. I then combined ReShade sharpening filters with the scale setting at 1.4~1.5, which really generates a result super close to that with 2.0 ratio.
This is not what I remember the game to be, and I'm sure it's true to most of us. It's not until when you actually see it, that you realize this is perhaps what the game actually should have looked like, or what the creators of the game/DICE imagined and set out to make. It might remind you of what the trailers made you dream of 10 years ago.
And I would now say, maybe it's just not built for 2016 hardwares. And I guess this is really such a shame for MEC, for that, I think the game only could apear as how it should look in years after its launch, while the game's default settings stayed at the outdated configuration. It reminds me of how the graphics of MEC kind of always had been a let down, possibly to all of us and other regular walkthrough video viewers. All the footages were somewhat just not ideal at launch and even bad (especially on consoles). And what's frustrating for me is that even we could have the best of it shown today, still it's not how the majority of people would go with and experience.
DICE made a lot of other mistakes with the graphic, like the too much saturation (when running), somewhat heavy blue tint, and noisy UI elements. So when you see those screenshots, they are captures with also HSL tweaks and mods disabling a ton of effects and UI (even the drones in downtown). There are just so many of them.
I first played the game in 2020 with the same spec (played the original in around 2013 and hadn't got the equipments for MEC), been interested in making the game look better in 2022 for a while, and only found this out last Octover. I have been dedicatedly exploring the city of glass, Cascadia, since then. After many previous walkthroughs, during which I noticed more and more what has been built and put in the game yet never was properly introduced to you by the game, that is to say due to the game's being too focused to be a profitable 3A game where EA just wanted to make sure you are interested in some few hours of the parkour gameplay as well as the story. I came to the shimmering highs outside missions, at a time of day that I would never be there at, and going at a direction that I would never go at if I only followed the campaign and what the mission marker directed me at. Then I see the giant buildings, on both sides of the canyon-like gap above the street, realizing this is supposed to be a commercial spot of the city. Then I started to see more and more of these things, and then I ran all over the world to remember the layout of the city, trying to immerse my self as someone who really knows every corner of the city because they traverses it as a job. Then I also turn off the music in freeroam to hear the lively sound details coming from the near-ground world, the traffic below me, which has been essential for such immersion in the 2008 game. The city just then keeps on showing all of itself to you.
These are just some dozens of pictures in my picks of hundreds.
Also just please visit the nexus modding forum more often. Lots of badass drops are happening these days.
