Issues like distorted water moving skyboxes are likely caused by OptiFine.
Although there's nothing that directly replaces all of OptiFine's features in a single mod, Iris is the mod that replaces OptiFine's shaders feature, and there are Fabric modpacks like Fabulously Optimized that the closest thing to a direct replacement, with generally better performance and more customizability.
So before posting any issues while using OptiFine, please try the other alternatives (look up YouTube guides if you're unsure how to install them).

Watching a Linus tech tips video and saw Nvidia demoing DLSS 5 stuff on their new laptop SOC with a shader they made for Java edition. Idk if there are any more details about this but be on the lookout.

A lot of people know about The Art of Blocks, a japanese minecraft texture pack "creator", who "made" chill mod, a paid realistic minecraft texture pack, with a free version called chill mod 1.3
Recently, a minecraft Content creator called Supermj767 shared 2 videos searching for this texture pack and eventually advertising for the thief as the original creator.
What nobody knows is that this pack is stolen from a chinese guy called xiaokun, who originally designed the pack and published it on a website: afdian.com
Yes, I know that the chinese guy also sells his pack
I'm not here to discuss my opinion on selling games mods and texture packs, I'm here to address a thief from Japan, who is exploiting the gap between the Chinese internet and the global internet to steal the content made by another man and sell it
THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!!
If you don't believe me, install the free version from The Art of Blocks website and compare the textures to those you see on the chinese guy profile
Also, does these look like fucking japanese lanterns and dragons??!!
These are 100% Chinese culture and art
I should take some of the blame, i knew about all of this 2 years ago when "TAOB" wasn't very popular, tho i didn't knew that i can share this problem with others (on reddit or other websites)
All i did was flooding peoples comments on instagram about this
I am using the newest Version of Iris together with Sodium. My shader is Complementary Unbound but i also tried Reimagined and it's the same.
Everything works fine, until i try to use F3 + G to show the chunk borders, then the screen gets blurry. This makes mining netherite hard, i don't want to place torches everywhere.
Has anyone experienced anything similar?
The first pic is with shader on and with f3+g. This is where it gets blurry.
The second pic is with shader but no f3+g.
The 3rd pic is with f3+g but no shader. So it seems to be related to either iris or the shader, not the game itself.
The 4th pic is with neither turned on.
EDIT: I forgot to add, this is ONLY IN THE NETHER!!! Or maybe also the end i haven't been there yet.
Complementary Unbound is my favorite shaders because I think it strikes the right balance of being stunningly realistic (the waters, the lighting, the clouds, the sun, the moon) while also being easy on the eyes (no harsh white lights, harsh contrasts, etc). It has this gorgeous cinematic look and it is so playable and runs so well.
When I was a kid and I watched youtubers play with shaders I thought it was so cool how they could get all those gorgeous visual effects and now I can do the same. I actually can't go back to vanilla minecraft because as nostalgic as it is, the flat lighting just can't compare to the gorgeous shaders that complementary unbound has. I exclusively play with shaders now and I seriously can't imagine it any other way. Does anybody else feel this way where they have to play with shaders??
FPS and playability test. I made this a few months ago this year. It added water ripples, god rays, cloud shadows and foliage interaction. Now I am adding compatibility with light blocks from different mods like create, quark, macaws furnitures etc. It essentially gives light blocks colors. (ITRP normally has 1 color scheme across its light blocks.
Anyone have an updated SEUS renewed that supports dh/voxy? It's not the flashiest, but I have such fond memories of using SEUS years ago, but am really sad it doesn't support dh or voxy.
Specs:
-Minecraft: 1.20.1 with Forge 47.4.10
-Shader: Complementary Reimagined r5.9.3 + Euphoria Patches 1.10.5.
-using Oculus with Embeddium.
The glitch causes shadows to not render properly, only happens when a structure is on line of sight, but it seems not to be all the sprawling of the structure bot parts of them, for example when I look more directly to the “catacombs” from Better Dungeons mod, the shadows stop rendering; I have screenshots, but since the tread is deleted if I post image, I cannot show how weird and specific this is, because only happens at certain angles, looking at certain blocks that are part of the structures, and the glitch disappears at the exact pixel I look away… I don’t know why is not permitted to post VISUAL BUGS with images… seems odd.
To clarify and discard some things that can came across, I don't use Create mods, the problem is only present with generated structures by Yung's mods (except Better Ocean Monuments) or Ice and Fire structures (If I remove these mods from the list and generate a new world without them, the problem is not present); also, I have Distant Horizons, but if I remove it from the mods, the problem persist; and last but not least, just Complementary + Euphoria causes this glitch, Complementary WITHOUT Euphoria doesn’t cause this problem, and other shaders neither.
I have changed al lighting and performance options that I thought could fix it, but since the options is a labyrinth, I don’t know if I’m missing something or it cannot be fixed.
When water is flowing most of my shaders have this weird visual bug(shader: bsl 10.1.8 /complementary 5.9.3 ) what can i do to fix this. (mc :fabric 26.3, hardware: i5 9600k, rx 6650 xt) other mods:
RP: Patrix x32
Shaders: BSL Shaders/Sundial Edit
Mod: Immersive Vehicles (The car are too weighty/realistic, defo not arcade feeling, but you can try and succeed in pulling drifts)
City map: "Horizon City - Advanced World" (Big open roads, goes well with the car)
basically the title, I like most of the iPBR+ features, but the actual generated normals are a little underwhelming, and I wanted to know if there was any way to use a resource pack height map instead, since I think those look better
