The amount of time it takes me to type out 2 two sentences replying to a post or comment is absurd really . L , like even this took alme me far longer than you would think for someone's first and most fluent language.
Did I did show the edits I made as I was typing but that time is negligible, we do exist.
It's not hard. But people just don't care anymore. So few care to bother to learn what apostrophes do, or the difference between too, to, and two, or all the other words that are similar. They insist that as long as they're understood, that's good enough for them.
It's going to suck when all of our world leaders are borderline illiterate monkeys who rely upon ChatGPT for all of their policies and public speeches.
No you don't get it, people never made mistakes before. It's that people don't care anymore. How else are we gonna feel superior if we aren't fatalistic about even the smallest mistakes that happen today?
That is exactly the attitude that is causing the downfall. If you can't be bothered with the little things, what's to say that you'll care about the more important things? Plus, you're putting out something that is available to the entire world. Do you really want the entire world to see just how lazy and uneducated you are?
I remember when we used to be called grammar nazis for correcting people's grammar. Corrections used to be so common that it became annoying. Now I rarely see them.
You only see them in arguments now. It’s the crux of someone wanting to continue an argument but not actually respond to the actual argument of what they’re replying to. It’s been a mainstay tactic since the early days though lol.
Former grammar fascist here! I grew up and realized that it was likely 1 of 4 possibilities: A. a simple typo, B. English is not their first language, C. they have some disability, such as dyslexia, or D. they simply can't be arsed; never have and never will.
In any event, I was wasting my time, so I stopped.
I enjoy words, spelling, and grammar, but not everyone does, and that's OK!
Im sorry some stranger didnt spend extra time and care to cater your content to your liking. Its Reddit. Find something that matters to care about. You shouldn't be on here anyway. Its a giant waste of time and energy. Yes I understand the irony here.

I'm not accusing OP of this per se, but there's such a depressing wave of anti-intellectualism going on right now, at least in the US. We're rapidly sliding into Idiocracy levels of wanton stupidity, and nobody seems to care.
I get that a typo on a discussion forum isn't a big deal, but seeing the massive rise of this particularly vehement brand of 'who gives a fuck' sentiment has made me really sensitive to it, I guess.
I've heard that it's a cheap way to farm engagement on a post. This whole comment thread on this just added an extra 20+ comments to the post because they knew someone would comment on the misspelling.
This is done on purpose, rage baiting people to look at their profile and look into their social media accounts. OP knows exactly what they are doing. I wouldn't be surprised if that image some random one off google.
