Everyone's a little gay. Some are just more comfortable than others about it, while some straight up hate themselves and others for it, but nobody's completely straight.

What are you using to moisturiser? Brand names no bodily fluids as answers please.

This is my moisturizer of choice. It gets absorbed pretty quickly so it’s great when I’m out and don’t wanna have oily skin for 30 minutes. It’s also fairly cheap.

Nice. I'd keep that for the day.

To get rid of the dry skin, at night time I recommend using a slightly heavier moisturiser such as :
https://www.savers.co.uk/skin-care/body-care/dry-medicated-skin-treatments/okeeffes-working-hands-96g/p/704752

Savers link as its usually the cheapest and this is slightly more expensive than Neutrogena, although it will also last a decent amount of time if using it just at night.

Then put these gloves on (or something similar as I think the ones in the link below are probably too small for most men)
https://amzn.eu/d/0dMV3Emx

The combination gives your hands a chance to recover at night.

During the day don't use fairy to wash your hands, always use real hand wash and then thoroughly dry your hands.

That should make a big difference.

You might also want to use marigolds when doing the washing up / use the dishwasher instead of washing up and the dishwasher uses less water anyway as long as you run it when full not just everyday regardless of how much is in it.

I hope that helps

Working hands has been recommended a lot. I’ll definitely try that

Maybe you are allergic to one of the ingredients? In case you want to try another hand lotion (due to possible allergies, or just to see if it makes a difference), I can recommend this one. Friends that avoid hand lotion for the same reason (not wanting oily hands for ages) have approved of it too, and their dry elbows look much better now.

Also, if that doesn't help, maybe try just putting vegetable oil on them for some time. Of course, this takes time and your hands will be oily during that time. So this is more of an intensive treatment done at home.

Bei mir half SebaMed Akut Handcreme mit 5% Urea bzw die intensive Handcreme mit Panthenol Complex.  Bzw Eucerin Aquaphor, aber die nur abends weil die sehr "fettig" ist. Frag in deiner Apotheke. Alles Gute, von einem Spröden zum anderen.

Everyone is giving you awful advice. I have the same issue and this kind of moisturizer just exacerbates the problem.

What you want to use is COCONUT OIL. It is an incredibly substance, it can be used for skin, cooking, and even eaten raw. I bought a 16 oz tub of it at the beginning of January, 2024, and that same tub is still keeping my hands (and elbows for some reason) non-peeled.

Below is the kind I use but I'm sure any coconut oil will help. I hope you see this message, because this will actually fix it for you.

Up it to 90%

If moisturising isn't helping maybe exfoliating before moisturising? Liquid pumice soaps make your hands feel so smooth.

Have you tried Cera-ve, it has different chemicals to regular moisturiser. It worked for me, as the back of my hands always peel.

Yes this is my go to if OKeffees is out of stock or too expensive that week

I think one of them helps pull the dead skin away from the living, where as moisturiser moisturises.

Vaseline after to lock in the moisture

Get some lasinoh nipple cream or any other 100 percent lanolin cream if you can find it and use it before bed. That shit is like black magic.

This used to happen to me, I started using aquaphor, my hands have thanked me.

Do you also exfoliate? All the moisture in the world won't fix it if your skin is shedding this much.

This looks like eczema, possibly dyshidrotic eczema. Come on over and check out the subreddit, it's very welcoming and there are a lot of posts with helpful tips.

Try an anti fungal cream? I’ve seen things you wouldn’t think are fungal but some lotrimn fixed it.

How gay could you really be with these hands?

I had this problem every winter until I started using hand cream daily. I specifically buy Gold Bond because it does not feel greasy or wet. I.e. you might try a different brand of moisturizer. I recommend Gold Bond due to personal experience, just give something else a try.
