Active shooter safety 101 - run, hide, fight. If in hide mode, turn off your phone. If it goes off, it can give away your position.

Active shooter outsider 101 - don't try to contact your friend/family/loved one who is inside. If you make their phone go off, it can give away their position.

You're right, that helped a lot. Luckily they called, otherwise the cops might have just stood outside while the shooting went on...

Idk that's a cop failing not a "this phone was useless in a kids hands" failing but go off.

Oh definitely the cops failure, but the first calls to the cops were made by the preacher across the road and one of the adults at the school, what further purpose did the kids calling have? Should they be calling private mercenary contractors? What difference does it make in that situation if the kids have one or not?

I mean, she did let the 911 dispatcher know there were people alive in there. Which, if you believe their bullshit claims, they said they didn't think anyone was and that's why they never went in.
