In the master collection volume 2 I have none. I think it was "athlete" or something but I swear it was an original skill, I always wanted that one and the channeler to find items.

Did I make this up? Or is it a thing?

I think this is needed for extraction of large containers successfully (unprocessed resource containers). is there any requirements or criteria that needs to be met for this upgrade to be available?

What an I doing wrong to not counter the charge every time?*

I’ve loaded up the saves from volgin and the boss’ fights to practice since I’d only played the game once before and I wanna go for a foxhound run but I cannot for the life of me understand what I’m doing wrong when volgin charges sometimes. As you can see I know I can counter the charge and try doing that instead of just avoiding him but I do the same thing every time and it only counters some of the time?

Is there a difference in the charges he does? Or am I just missing the window on some of them.
I completely understand this is a non-issue especially with any damage mitigating camo but I was just curious.

I'm trying to get the Big Boss rank in Metal Gear Solid 2, and I've been practicing some difficult sections of the game. I've used a few continues while practicing, but I haven't saved afterward.

If I quit the game without saving, then reload my previous save when I'm ready to do my actual run, will those continues affect my Big Boss rank attempt in any way?

Basically, I want to practice difficult sections as much as I need to without ruining my actual run.

Hello all, every time I try to play peace walker snake will suddenly stop moving for a second, then the inputs will catch up and he will start moving erratically and then hold a direction down and keep running until I spam inputs to get him to stop.

I have tried lowering my mouse polling rate to 125hz and using the beta branch which neither have worked. I have also tried using MGSPatriotFix and the Peace Walker HiRes mod because I believe this is an input buffer issue, but neither work. I have tried using a controller but it is even worse, as my movement will completely stop and snake will run in circles until i disconnect the controller and use the keyboard and mouse to move him. I have also tried disabling steam input all together but the kbm controls still lag.

Setting the screen settings to "Original Mode" does seem to fix the issue, however even just setting internal resolution to FHD causes the lag. I suppose I could play the game at the original 720p, but I regularly see people playing at high resolutions.

I have a 3070, a 5800x, and 32gb ram

edit: would like to mention I have a lot of crackling audio which seems to correlate to when my controls lag

edit2: it seems like "original mode" doesn't 100% fix the issue either, but it does drastically reduce it from happening. I also have an external audio interface, a UA Volt.

I dressed up a little while ago as Revolver Ocelot and I got told to send my efforts to the masses. How do I get Plant 2 on Mother Base? It's the last step I need to unlock the Zeke fight. My command center is rank 4, my combat unit is lvl 21, my r&d team is lvl 37, my intel team is level 59. What do I need to do to get plant 2? Any tips?

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong not to unlock this achievement. I'm trying to Platinum this game and this is one of my last ones before attempting the Big Boss rank. I'm sure I've collected every weapon multiple times but no matter what happens, this achievement won't unlock. Which is strange, considering it's a common achievement.

I already have the achievement for the Tanker section. For the Plant, I have had all of these in my inventory:

- SOCOM

- M9

- M4

- AKS-74u

- PSG1

- PSG1-T

- Nikita

- Stinger

- RGB6/grenade launcher

- Book

- Claymore

- C4

- Magazine

- Chaff grenade

- Stun grenade

I even collected and equipped the suppressors for both the SOCOM and the AK just to be sure. I made sure to use each one (equipped and used it at least once) thinking maybe that would work, but it didn't. Maybe I'm missing something, but I'm not sure what, as I do check lockers for supplies somewhat frequently. The only thing I can think of is I know the Tanker section had frag grenades, but I've never found them on Plant.

I'm playing on the HD Collection version of the game.

I’m playing Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater for the first time, and I honestly don’t understand the hype so far. 😂
I’ve never played a Metal Gear Solid game before, and I’m currently at the part where The Boss encounters Snake on her horse in the jungle.
So far, I find the game pretty boring. There are so many cutscenes that it sometimes feels more like watching a movie than actually playing a game. And even the stealth gameplay and taking out enemies don’t feel nearly as satisfying to me as they do in Splinter Cell.
I know Hideo Kojima is loved, and I’m genuinely curious what people love so much about his games.
Is it mainly the story and characters, the atmosphere, or does the gameplay get significantly better later on? I’m open to hearing different opinions, but so far I just don’t get it. �

Based on achievement lists I realized there is 1 version of MGS1, 2 versions of MGS2 and 3 versions of MGS3 I just think that is neat.

I'm not a Solid Snake fan. So i decided to fix that. Last week i finished Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2 Solid Snake for the first time. Now I'm playing through Metal Gear Solid 1.

My question is: What Solid Snake would do on Shadow Moses. Allow me to explain.

In MGS3, I'm convinced Jack would kill every soldier without thinking it twice. He is VERY, very patriotic. He would kill for his country with no problem. But this changes not only when he realizes his own country is forcing him to kill his mentor, but also when "fighting" The Sorrow and seeing how many lives has he taken from soldiers that, in a way, were also betrayed and sent to die in a war they didn't asked for.

Returning to David, i had noticed two things different from John.

1) he smokes cigarettes, not cigars.

2) He is a womanizer, and not as timid as John, ironically.

I'll still playing MGS1. I forgot how cool this game was.
