Advice Needed Hunger

I get soooooo hungry it’s as if I’m super faded or something but I don’t smoke anymore.

I will be dieting well, working out and looking better and then I’ll begin to spiral about something that made me anxious and gain this insatiable hunger for several days.

Does anyone have any tips on how to prevent this? I never used to fill the void with food I don’t know why this started happening. Maybe it’s a side effect of getting sober?

It’s just not really sustainable. I have hypertension and dropping a 5000calorie nuke of carbohydrates and sodium is becoming detrimental to my blood pressure and digestion. Not to mention, whenever I binge like this it feels like my mental processes slow down a lot the next day.

This may be less about willpower and more about anxiety mixed with dieting. If you have been eating too little while working out, your body may push back hard during stressful periods. Try eating steady, filling meals instead of restricting after a binge. Because the hunger is new and your blood pressure is affected, it would also be wise to ask a doctor about possible medical causes or sobriety related changes.
