My Breast Implant Scars and Scar Care After Revision
I don’t think scars get talked about enough when it comes to breast augmentation, especially what they can look and feel like months or even years later.
I had my first breast augmentation in March 2023. Then on January 29, 2026, I had a revision surgery that included a bilateral implant exchange from saline to silicone, along with pocket revision and capsulorrhaphy. I went from 580cc saline implants to Natrelle INSPIRA SRX-650cc silicone implants.
Most of my scarring is along the lower breast fold where the incisions were made. Overall, I feel like I’ve healed pretty well, but I can still see and feel the scars, and naturally I’d like them to improve as much as possible over time.
My revision also gave me a little reminder that healing does not always go perfectly. I had an internal stitch under one breast that didn’t dissolve like it was supposed to, which caused a small open area. I had to take some extra care of it with antibiotic ointment and gauze until it healed. That definitely made me pay more attention to scar care and the healing process in general.
I was recently able to get into a free trial of Silagen’s Scar Refinement System specifically for my breast scars, so I’m interested to see how well it works for me. My goal really isn’t complicated. I’d just like the scars to soften, flatten out, fade more, and eventually blend into the surrounding skin as much as possible.
I know scars take time, and after going through two surgeries in the same areas, I’m realistic about that. I’m not expecting them to disappear overnight. I just want to give my body the best chance to heal as cleanly as possible, and I’ll be interested to see whether using Silagen makes a noticeable difference over time.
Here are a couple of photos of my scars before starting Silagen and while using it. I figured showing the actual progression might be helpful for anyone else dealing with breast augmentation or revision scars. I’ll keep taking photos as I go so I can compare the changes over time.
I love my results, especially after switching to silicone, and my implants feel like they belong on me. The scars are just another part of the journey. If I can get them to soften and fade more over time, that will only make me feel even better about the results.
I’ll probably post updates as I go through the trial so others can see whether it actually makes a difference. But from what I can see, I do believe it is working.
For anyone else who has had breast augmentation or a revision, how long did it take before you really noticed your scars starting to flatten and fade? And what scar treatments worked best for you?

This can be an important question when trying to understand your motivation. Would having breasts still matter to you if they stayed hidden under your clothing and nobody else ever knew?
Would you still want breast implants if nobody else ever saw them? Why or why not?

There are times where I am out of the house and I am deliberately trying to hide my chest. Sometimes it’s because of the location or the task at hand. Sometimes it’s just my mood. I’m pre surgery so my ability to blend in and cover up is still within my control.
That being said, yesterday I went to the opposite end of the spectrum. I suddenly felt like showing off my modest development, practically daring someone to say something or at the very least stare. I wasn’t going anywhere special (work) and dressed like I always do but in a mood where I actually wanted to be noticed. Certainly got some looks and that was satisfying. In fact, it was awesome.
I know there are a few here who really don’t have the same options to “hide” as I do and I wondered how often others have the same feeling when they are out and about doing what they do? Or do we just grow accustomed to it and the need for attention fades over time? Not trying to be prolific or anything, just curious.
I managed to iron AFTER I took the pic but this is my regular work clothes in action. 40C bra Amazon basic no frills not push up. XL button up shirt.

A major reason some men consider breast implants is the hope of feeling better when they look in the mirror. Surgery cannot solve every problem, but it can sometimes help someone’s physical appearance match the image they have carried inside.
How do you imagine breast implants changing the way you see yourself in the mirror?

Hey. Figured id update you all on what's going on. Pretty much got everything figured out. Unfortunately any surgeons willing to do my BA require payment in full up front so for now I'll be working on saving up the cash for the surgery. But progress is progress so im getting there, slowly but surely haha.

Some men want a chest that is clearly noticeable, while others want implants that can be hidden under everyday clothing. There is no correct answer, but this decision can affect implant size, profile, clothing choices, and your comfort in public.
Would you want your breasts to be noticeable, easy to conceal, or somewhere in between?
For the male who also have breast implants(or maybe weareble breasts)
How do people react on your work/job?
And what kind of job do you have.
I understand some have small sizes and cant hide them.
But i asume some also have big sizes and cant hide them.
And maybe out in public?( i find it fun to visit spa's, you are now allowed to bring your phone in so no one can take pictures)
I cant hide them at all with my size. Even with a hoodie or a jacket you can see them from 200 meters away lol.
So tell me how its for you to have them in puplic places like work

I posted here in the past explaining how I crave the feeling and shape of breasts and implants have become a goal. I am still wrestling with the choice.
I’m not sure what will be best and surgery is not cheap so I want to make sure I’m doing what is best for me. Seeing more and more guys posting and following through I’m so inspired but I think if I do it I’d want to go as big as possible off the bat. I hear most guys regret not going bigger.
I’ve still been trying to wear a bra regularly to get the feel and experience as I contemplate implants… but I struggle to find the best fit. Sports bras of course are comfortable but give little in the means of shape. I love a push-up bra with underwire like this but it’s still a struggle to get really good shape and natural looking breasts. I know being a big guy it’s going to be a challenge making sexy tits out of man boobs… but I just crave being a sexy busty boy!
I think this is what makes me want implants most of all. The shape. Bra or not. But I do love a sexy bra!
Can Anyone else relate????

There can be a lot of anxiety involved in considering surgery, but there may also be excitement. You might imagine seeing your new shape in the mirror, wearing a bra, filling out clothing differently, or finally feeling more comfortable in your body.
What excites you most when you imagine yourself with breast implants?

As a man in the United States who lives in Pennsylvania and chose to have breast implants, I've learned that balancing personal body choices with traditional professional expectations comes down to being comfortable with who you are while understanding the environment you work in.
I work in a professional setting where I interact with employers, community organizations, government agencies, Federal, County, and State prisons, and the general public. I understand that a man having breasts isn't something everyone is accustomed to seeing, especially in more traditional workplaces.
I had my first breast augmentation in March 2023 and a revision in January 2026. I made these decisions for myself, not to make a statement, challenge anyone's beliefs, or seek attention. Having breasts was something I wanted for many years, and I'm still the same man I was before surgery.
When it comes to my professional life, I believe in dressing appropriately for the situation without compromising who I am.
Sometimes that means wearing a button-down shirt, with an undershirt, or a compression bra to make my chest less noticeable. Other times, I wear my regular clothes and don't give it much thought. I don't go out of my way to hide my breasts every day, but I appreciate having the option to be more discreet when I feel it's appropriate.
I also don't believe I owe everyone an explanation about my body. My coworkers, employers, and the people I serve should know me for my experience, work ethic, professionalism, and how I treat others. If someone genuinely asks about my chest, I can decide whether I want to discuss it.
My wife has also been a tremendous source of support throughout this journey. Having someone who understands and supports my decision has made it easier to be comfortable with myself, both personally and professionally.
I recognize that attitudes toward personal appearance and body choices vary considerably throughout the United States. What might be accepted without a second thought in one workplace or community could attract unwanted attention in another. That's simply a reality I take into consideration.
But here's how I look at it.
My body is my personal business, and my professionalism should be measured by the quality of my work, not the shape of my chest.
At 63 years old, I've reached a point in my life where I'm not interested in spending the rest of my years worrying about whether everyone approves of my appearance. I spent enough years thinking about breast augmentation before finally making the decision to do something for myself.
I don't expect everyone to understand my choice, and I don't need everyone to agree with it. I simply expect to be treated with the same professional respect I extend to others.
Finding that balance for me means using good judgment, respecting the workplace, and staying true to myself. Having breasts doesn't change my abilities, my character, or my dedication to my job.
I'm a man who happens to have breast implants. It's part of who I am, but it doesn't define everything about me.
What about everyone else? How do you navigate the balance between your personal body choices and the traditional expectations of the professional world?

Pain is still there but just faint, and improving! I’m doing the massages now as per the dr advice. And using scar gels now.
I’m getting used to them so much that i feel like i looked the same as before haha. So i may want bigger someday in the far future

I started my serious augmentation journey close to two years ago, but cricumstances jumped up into the way each time I was close to a surgery date. I just scheduled my surgery again for the end of November, and I think the only thing that could get in the way this time is that because I'm a bit older I sometimes have to deal with medical issues unrelated to breast augmentation, and I have a couple of medical tests coming up in a few weeks. Assuming no issues I'll be good to go!

Do you find that underwire bras provide better support for your implants than wireless ones?

has anyone here heard of carmelo actoryno? i found out about him while trawling through either instagram or X. he's a spanish radio/media personality, hairstylist/makeup artist/and TikTok creator in las palmas in the canary islands. he's a beefy, bald-headed, VERY loud, VERY gay middle-aged man who has VERY big round breast implants (which look amazing), which he does not even try to hide at all — in fact, many of his photos and videos show him in low cut tops or bras. he's on instagram https://www.instagram.com/carmelo.actoryno/, and https://x.com/actoryno36825.
according to grok:
"Carmelo Actoryno (also stylized as Carmelo Actorino) is a Spanish TikTok content creator and social media personality based in or associated with Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Canary Islands. He is linked to Peluquería Actoryno (a hair salon) and has posted about representing it or related figures in local events like the pre-selection for the Drag Queen Gala during the Las Palmas carnivals. He creates videos involving drag culture, fashion, personal updates, and commentary. He is not a mainstream celebrity, athlete, or widely covered public figure outside social media (searches primarily surface his TikTok presence rather than news profiles).
Yes, he has breast implants. In a 2023 TikTok video, he explicitly addressed confusion about his appearance, stating that he is not transgender: he is “un chico que se ha puesto unos atributos” (a guy who got attributes/implants) purely for pleasure, aesthetic reasons, and personal preference. He described it as fulfilling a personal desire rather than part of a gender transition."

It is normal to have fears about surgery, recovery, cost, relationships, work, or how other people may react. Being honest about those concerns can help you decide what information and support you still need.
What concern or fear has kept you from moving forward with breast augmentation?

Before BA vs. 580cc vs. 650cc Revision — My Good, Bad and Ugly at 7 Months PO
I wanted to share this comparison because seeing all three stages together really shows how much my chest has changed.
The first column is me before my breast augmentation in 2023. The middle is my original 580cc saline implants at 7 months post-op, and the last column is my current Natrelle INSPIRA SRX-650cc ultra-high-profile silicone breast implants at 7 months post-revision.
Looking at them side by side, I think the revision was definitely worth it.
The good:
The biggest difference to me is the shape and projection. My 580cc implants gave me breasts, but they were wider and didn't project forward nearly as much. The 650cc SRX implants have a much rounder shape, more upper and lower fullness, and considerably more forward projection.
I also think the 650cc implants fit my frame better. It is only a 70cc increase on paper, but visually it looks like a much bigger change because of the implant profile, silicone, and the pocket work that was done during my revision.
Another big improvement is positioning. My original right implant had developed lateral movement after I didn't give myself enough time to heal properly after my first surgery. During my revision the pocket was repaired, and so far everything seems to be holding where it should.
The bad:
I'm still not perfectly symmetrical. My right breast sits slightly lower and has a little more lower-pole fullness, while my left is slightly higher and tighter.
But I've also learned that breasts aren't supposed to be perfectly identical. I had some natural asymmetry before implants, and surgery isn't going to make both sides perfect mirror images.
The ugly:
Truthfully, I really don't have an “ugly” right now.
At seven months, both breasts are soft, comfortable, moving naturally, and I don't have any tightness or pain. The silicone also feels much better to me than my original saline implants. They have more natural movement, weight and softness.
I'm keeping an eye on the right side because of my previous pocket problem, but as long as everything remains stable, soft and comfortable, I'm pretty happy with where I am.
When I look at these pictures, I see three very different stages:
Before surgery, I had the chest I started with.
The 580cc implants gave me breasts.
The 650cc revision gave me the shape, projection and overall look I was really hoping for.
They're not absolutely perfect, but I'm very happy with them, and at this point I wouldn't risk another surgery just trying to chase perfect symmetry.
For the guys considering BA or a revision, don't just look at the number of CCs. Implant profile, width, projection, material, your existing anatomy and the implant pocket can make just as much difference as volume.
I'd be interested to hear what everyone else sees when comparing the 580cc and 650cc results.

I’m really having a moment of “boob greed” right now. That i feel like i should gone bigger, like 500cc or even 600cc.
But I’m hoping when it drop and fluff, it will give me more volume. Hopefully. But I’m still very happy nevertheless.
EDIT: thanks everyone for easing my doubts :)

My question is how and why you started this journey of breast implant?
r/menWBA • u/mnwhohbreasts_44D • Sep 08 '26
If you could start your breast-augmentation journey over again knowing what you know now, what would you do differently?
r/menWBA • u/Material-Meal-8099 • Sep 07 '26
The pain has gone down significantly. Doctor advised to stop using the compression bra, it was irritating my skin and nerves, making it more painful. So i switched to soft, non underwire bras/sports bra.
Still on some pain meds and still doing cold compresses.
Went back to the gym too for light walks.

Other people’s opinions can influence how we feel about our bodies, but breast augmentation is a major decision that you will live with every day. The strongest reason to move forward is because it is something you genuinely want for yourself.
Are you interested in implants for yourself, or are other people’s opinions influencing your decision?
r/menWBA • u/Material-Meal-8099 • Sep 01 '26
Its looking better now, i was suppose to start massaging them, but i get a sharp pain on top of my left breast, so I’m seeing my surgeon again just to see what’s wrong.
