nah, got banned from the teenager sub a couple years ago for saying "based", haven't been there again, not that I felt the need to stay either way as I saw the sub go down in quality over the years and become somewhat what OP is describing about r/AnarchyChess
even when I actually did fit into the age gap of the sub, that user flair existed, probably still does to this day

But if I'm on [enter subreddit not to do with lgbt in anyway here], I dont want to know. I want to see things specifically about that subreddit.
It'd be weird for me to go to a lgbt subreddit and talk about how straight I am and proclaiming my straightness.

On [r/gardening](r/gardening) someone tried to bring politics into their post only because it generally included something involving gardening. OP was even yelling about how it’s “not against the sub rules“ to bring it up. But no one, not even the comments, we’re having it.
Everyone expected the gardening subreddit to be about gardening and not someone’s loosely related rant, even if people agree.

No, I just prefer that when it comes to a particular subject, subreddit or discussion that isn't to do with the LGBT, that it stays that way.
You're openly welcome to be gay, trans, queer or whatever in my circles. But that doesn't give you the right to change the topic to make it about yourself.
And calling me transphobic or homophobic doesn't work anymore, it isn't the shield from criticism it once was.

Dude... they were saying that in general, not specifically to you. Their point was that discussion of sexuality doesn't belong on subreddits not devoted to it.
And for the record I consider myself quite an ally. My brother is gay, and I constantly play gay or bi characters in dnd. You can even see some proof in some art I had commissioned and pinned on my profile.
