TVA / Kang
Does stopping something from developing count as killing everyone who would have been there?
7
u/ImpactNo3695 7h ago
Hmm. Idk about that actually.. but it wasn’t just preventing. It was snipping universes that already been established like what we saw in DP&W.

Dr Strange caused an incursion that destroyed a Universe though.
Also what about Galactus. He's older than the universe and has been consuming worlds the whole time.

u/ImpactNo3695 10h ago
Very good point. That would push out Ego.
So -
TVA / Kang, Dr. Strange, Thanos, High Evolutionary, Galacticus (Those last two could be swapped).
1
u/FamiliarDiver4456 10h ago
The only reason Kang would be considered above Galactus on body count is because Kang is multiversal and galactus isnt
2

u/FamiliarDiver4456 10h ago
Kang is the correct answer, didnt really think about him, the way I took it was loki erased all that history, I dont guess that was implied just how I imagined it since he allowed for the branching of time kinda like he rewrote everything that Kang did.

Assuming we specifically mean ceasing life from existing its thanos. Even though everyone came back

u/Jaded_Peace2301 9h ago
Tva, they didnt kill half of the universe, they ended full ones and multiple

u/i_max2k2 11h ago
Although in net count will be Tony, erased Thanos and his minions.

u/InvestigatorLive19 10h ago
No way, theres incursions that happened, as well as millenia old gods that have been killing for thousands of years, bloodthirsty interdimentional beings... One large army, though very impressive, is nowhere near any if those.

u/heelstoo Avengers 9h ago
Tony killed Thanos’ army. Thanos was killing half of planets before he even got the stones.
4
u/sugardaintystouch 6h ago
Thanos is definitely winning this one, bro was doing mass genocide on a universal scale long before the avengers even knew he existed
4
u/spiderboy640 8h ago
Thanos killed people, like Gamoras planet. Thats way more people than Tony snapped

u/Cybering11 12h ago
Thanos? literally killing half of the universe
5
u/djlittlehorse 12h ago
Agree, but not because of this. But because he used to go planet to planet wiping out half the population.

I need a ruling... is it possible that someone said "no take-backsies" offscreen? Because that would change things.

u/Important_Scale_3532 11h ago
what about multiversal beings like Galactus or the TVA
1
u/Anxious_Writer_3684 11h ago
Galactus has been devouring worlds since the beginning of time, right? Yeah, probably Galactus.
15
u/Exploding-Pineapple 12h ago
If we can count First Steps, then Galactus should be up there. He's been destroying planet after planet for billions of years.
I don't remember how long exactly it took for him to hatch in the comics but he's been active since near the beginning of the universe and they implied his origin was more or less the same in the movie.
5
u/hackulator 10h ago
In the comics he is older than this universe, he is the last existing being from the previous iteration of the universe.
2
u/Exploding-Pineapple 10h ago
Yeah but the transformation still took some time so he wasn't active as Galactus from the beginning

u/CollectionGuilty1320 12h ago
The one who remained Aka the last Kang the Conqueror. He literally wiped out who knows how many millions of timelines with trillions of living beings in it.
2
u/JarethCutestoryJuD 7h ago
He literally wiped out who knows how many millions of timelines with trillions of living beings in it.
Isnt the TVA explicity described as stopping timelines from developing?
Thats markedly different to destroying universes or erasing life.
2
u/Sleepinkoalas 6h ago
The TVA prunes timelines. At first we think everyone dies.
But, actually they all get sent to the Void at the end of time. So idk if we can say he killed those people.3
3
u/mort_rea 6h ago
he weaponized alioth so I would firmly assert that He Who Remains is the most prolific killer in all of the MCU. He directed the TVA to send the timelines to the void at the end of time in order to be destroyed. He bears the bulk of responsibility.

u/Libre_man 12h ago
Thor has been a warrior for a loooong time... he maybe one of the top
10
u/mr-snus 12h ago
I'm 1500 years old and I've killed twice as many - thor
3
u/hahnsolo38 12h ago
That always struck me as odd… he’s definitely killed more than 3000 beings. Maybe he’s only talking about humans/non-monsters?
3
3
u/Moohamin12 11h ago
Just the Frost Giants fight in the first film and Surtur's demons fight in Ragnarok had him decimating 100s upon 100s of minions.
10
u/eightballart 12h ago
Depends on how you define "kill count". If you consider the TVA, I think Mr Paradox might for having ordered the destruction ("pruning") of entire timelines and everyone within them.
8
u/Extension_Breath1407 9h ago
There is General Dox from the TVA who erased countless timelines to keep only the sacred one, erasing countless quadrillion life forms. That would give her the highest death count in the entire MCU surpassing even the likes of Thanos a thousand times over.
But I guess that doesn’t count since we didn’t see anyone dying in person.

u/Krimreaper1 Iron man (Mark I) 2h ago
Erasing them means they never existed, so would they count?
2
u/Technical_Moose8478 1h ago
Erasing doesn’t really mean they never existed. It means their existence has been removed multidirectionally in time. Anyone who survived still remembers them, so technically I’d still consider this killing (as do the TVA, kinda one of the main narrative themes of Loki).

u/Academic_Composer904 Loki (Thor 2) 12h ago edited 11h ago
TVA/HWR, no contest.
Odin and Hela wiped out entire civilizations.
Thanos destroyed more than half the universe.
The TVA/HWR pruned trillions of timelines. Their body count is nearly immeasurable.

u/envelopers 12h ago
Kang (destroyed multiple timelines)
number two would be Thanos, if we count his snap as killing half of the universe.
if we're counting "What...If?", then Infinity Ultron and the main Strange from that show would be sharing second place, as they destroyed more than half of their respective universes (100% if i'm not mistaken).
7
u/Neon_Pigeon 11h ago
Wouldn’t it be Strange Supreme since he like, destroyed a Universe. Unless there’s someone I can’t remember who’s destroyed more
3
2
u/Jazzlike_Passion_285 12h ago
Its Loki, and its not even remotely close.
When Loki destroyed the Temporal Loom, he literally killed INFINITE TIMELINE BRANCHES, before ressurecting them with his powers.
So, for a brief moment, Loki killed Infinite people.
2
u/djlittlehorse 12h ago
Character alone. Has to be Thanos.
He spent decades going planet to planet wiping out half of the life there.
2
u/repalec 10h ago
It's absolutely Thanos if we're just counting the Sacred Timeline/MCU!Earth-616.
Otherwise you'd be looking at Dox - her campaign to prune all of the branched timelines after events of Loki's first-season finale would have killed entire timelines, possibly hundreds of trillions depending on how many branches were affected.
2
u/CaptHayfever Hawkeye (Avengers) 3h ago
I think you're really asking us to discuss 5th place, because the first 4 are pretty objective:
- Kang - countless universes
- Infinity Ultron - a whole universe & at least part of another
- Strange Supreme - a whole universe
- Thanos - half a universe

TVA, Thanos, Infinity Ultron, Zombie Scarlet Witch
Galactus depending on how many reboots this version has lived through.
Oh, actually maybe Pym too if you consider the underverse.

If you count the snap, even though it was reversed, Thanos. Even if you don't, Thanos has been going to populated planets and killing half every time, so yeah, still Thanos.
1
u/Special_Loan8725 11h ago
Ant man’s ants, there’s like trillions of ants and they need to fend off predators, they’ve probably killed so many bugs.

Hela matou no mínimo dois exércitos inteiros em Thor Ragnarok, e em suas conquistas com Odin ela era sua executora e principal arma, então eu diria ela. Poderia ser Thanos, mas todos voltaram a vida depois.
1
u/Ankit_2597 11h ago
Thanos, with not just the snap but the lives killed to gather all infinity stones and Gauntlet. Maybe Ego can also be considered being a celestial and killing lots of people on his planet, but even lives to find suitable partner.
1
u/weslarprime Nebula 11h ago
Thanos and it's not even remotely close. Just because they brought them back doesn't mean Thanos didn't kill half of all life in the universe.
In our galaxy. There's a rough estimate of 100-400 billion planets, we'll say 200billion. If only 1% of those support life, that's 2 billion planets and if we say an average of 5 billion people per planet, that's 10 quintillion people. So in one galaxy alone, Thanos murdered 5 quintillion people.
Across the universe there's an estimated 2 trillion galaxies. So that is 10^30 deaths.

u/AmazingEstimate6504 11h ago
Supreme Strange killed an entire universe

u/Aerolithe_Lion 10h ago
Multiverse of Madness. Their Strange was killed because he caused an incursion that destroyed a universe
1
u/Anxious_Writer_3684 11h ago
So the answer is Galactus now that he is MCU cannon. Thanos is the only other possible contender if you count the snap but as those people were resurrected later I'm ruling them out. So Thanos only gets credit for a few decades worth of visiting planets to destroy half the population.
Galactus has been eating worlds whole for billions of years.

It’s probably the celestial’s since they kill a planet to be born. Or Thanos even before the snap, he ravaged half the population of all sorts of planets around the universe even before he got the stones.

u/CocoaNest 8h ago
Thanos if the Blip counts and the other planets he conquer, also Kang for the universes he destroyed and erasing timelines. Plus Infinity Ultron if what if? Counts 😊

Gotta be a toss-up between Thanos (pre snap kill count only), Hela/Odin in their conquests, and Doctor Strange variant for causing an incursion... or two. I'm assuming the TVA doesn't count as it is an organization. But the best answer is probably Kang the Conquerer or He Who Remains since the latter is responsible for the TVA's actions and the former is prolific multiversal destroyer. Ultron from What If only killed his universe which pales in comparison to He Who Remains' directive. High evolutionary and Ego are also rocking absurd kill counts but neither come close to the rest tbh. I don't believe the snap that Thanos did counts as killing since they were all brought back. Only perma-deaths should count in the consideration.
He Who Remains has a kill count that exceeds hundreds of trillions of deaths at the maw of Alioth so that's my final answer.

Probably sinster strange or like kang cuc they like destroyed universes with trillions of people.

u/teakelljuan 5h ago
He Who Remains won the multiversal war, which means he likely slaughtered an immeasurable amount of life.

Galactus eats entire worlds and is as old as the universe itself, gotta put him high up there.

Beyonders or Chaos King. Beyonders all universes and everything in them…. Like everything. Chaos King destroyed almost everything in the entire multiverse in Chaos War.
Kang, by himself (variants) third place. Thanos didn’t kill the multiverse, just half of one.

u/Curiouso_Giorgio 6h ago
Why are there so many characters repeated in this? There's like 147 Tony Stark on it.

u/NateDawg80s 8h ago
I don't think the Blip counts, as they all came back. So, if we're talking on-screen deaths, Call had quite the count after barreling through and taking down Thanos' ship.
