Also a very decent and mature thing that Peter does is reveal to MJ that Jean mind controlled her into kissing him without her consent..a very important social message

which is what leads him to realize the DC dude was lying about why Jean said her sisters name

yea, even the smallest details in Peter not knowing Detective Dewolf children name at the beginning of the film but at the end of the movie telling the detective to say hi to her children by their names. There is a lot of referencing moments within the film and it felt really self-contained yet not as weird as totally disconnected from MCU at all.

Ooh look at that actual film being a film and showing not telling. It's very refreshing. Take notes hollywood

Noticing plot holes doesn’t make you a genius. Fuck I hate the cinemasins type of dissection of a movie. Mind numbing nonsense.

They could have shown Steve getting back at the cost of Diana's mystical godly powers but no gotta give Steve's face and memory to a complete stranger and do him

Is MJ's apparent dismissal of it as "I don't remember, so it doesn't matter" potentially problematic? Not sure that's quite sending the right message.

Her not remembering it is a part of the story and dismissing it is her choice.Whats important was Peter's full disclosure here.

I thought she was saying "It's okay, AND I don't remember it" not "it's okay BECAUSE I don't remember it". But regardless, she had to say that because that's how Peter realizes he had been lied to.
