To be fair, Phoenix Cyclops and Hawkeye all got buffs, so those guys will be more frequent with Elsa, Hela, Punisher and others that will feed on hitting headshots on Dino.

Tbh that doesn't really matter because poke is already good. And none of the characters that got buffed are better than the best poke characters rn.

You cant pick more than 2 of those anyways without throwing, all that does is increase the difficulty on trying to force Dino by banning every overpowered poke hero, like Dino isnt banned first like 80% of the matches.

Which heroes do you expect to rise or fall?
- Phoenix will most likely rise to the numbers of strong medium-long ranged poke characters.
- Cyclops might also have a small part to play as well.
- Gambit will still most likely be one of the strongest strategists all around but at least his ultimate presence might take a small hit this patch.
- Iron Man will probbably not rise in viability much outside of the lower ranked brackets.
Which change will shake up the meta the most?
- Phoenix's, likely increasing the options to deal with a still very strong Devil Dinosaur comp.
What are you most hoping to see in Season 10.5?
- A hotfix balance patch if the meta doesn't really shake up.
How does the patch feel once you've played it?
- Im predicting not much will change, maybe the 2v2 game mode might be interesting.
What part of the Season 10.5 update surprised you the most?
- That remains to be seen.

Pve mode gonna be a huge visual clutter and massive lag and I'm still gonna go all in for it

I'm weirdly happy to see that Human Torch got nothing again, because he needs seriously big changes still. Only that will save him. He needs a new kit that's actually Johnny Storm instead of this tired mess that'll clearly never be balanced properly (and yes, I'm a champ, lol, and yes I still play it because I hate myself but love Johnny as a concept, even if this kit is nothing like him).
So I am just hoping he gets a new kit that's actually like Johnny Storm: protecting his team and actually transforming by shouting "flame on!" instead of always generically being on fire. A kit that fulfills his hero fantasy and displays Johnny's unique power set instead of doing the opposite and turning him into a generic, always-floating fire guy. And if he does get that, I know he'll finally be a part of this game, sell skins, and actually increase his pick rate. People might even remember he exists and that he is yet to get a legendary (why? because the devs know it wouldn't sell right now).

i expect phoenix and cyclops to perform better overall but still falls just short of the elsa/psylocke/hela hitscan trinity.
these buffs in combination with the gore nerfs will lead to another poke meta
im hoping to see more skins for characters besides the usual suspects, a fun pve mode vs thanos, and less gacha events
i’ll update this comment come friday for the last two points!

I am soo glad torch is back again! I've been dominating games with Torch this season, surprisingly. Plus I was a little worried about Devil Dino but he's still got it.

Human Torch is dominating the play rates he's been getting picked left and right this season. Dive heroes and hitscans are definitely going to rise to punish all those aggressive aerial plays, while immobile characters might fall off if they can't dodge the burn.
What part of the Season 10.5 update surprised you the most?
Honestly, how quickly the player base adapted to the meta shifts—seeing certain sleeper picks suddenly pop off in lobbies has been a wild surprise.

I think scarlet witch will fall in b tier with the nerfs, while phoenix will see a huge uprise in pick and ban rate.
The phoenix change will definitely be a meta changer but l’m also very happy cyclops will be b or a tier now.
I’m hoping for the 50 vs Thanos to be repeatable, hopefully.
Whatever the patch, l’ll keep playing this game, and l’m excited for the 2v2v2v2v2

Looking at the patchnotes I expect Phoenix & Jubilee to become hard meta, Cyclops will become a much more reliable hitscan pick and Gorr & Wanda to become a little weaker but still be good.
Excited for the new gamemodes and halloween skins!

- Which heroes do you expect to rise or fall?
Brune Banner will not be a pea shooter with a 1-second lifespan in fights; he will be a shooter with a 1.1-second lifespan in fights.
Hawkeye & Phoenix are going to terrorise the lobbies.
Iron Man will be tougher... in low ranks. In high ranks, he is still two-tapped out of the sky but a decent hit scan.
Diving Jubilee is going to be even harder. Not CnD-annoying, but maybe second to them.
- Which change will shake up the meta the most?
Poke is going to be strong...er. Dive is going to be weak...er.
- What are you most hoping to see in Season 10.5?
Based on the information that was shared by devs, we are not getting any major reworks for any characters (Iron Man got a mini-rework). Since that's not happening, maybe they'll allow a choice of a free skin from the previous free skins for the players who have missed events/seasons/battlepasses.
- How does the patch feel once you've played it?
Yet to play it... Obviously. But it seemingly didn't have any major nerfs. So, strong heroes will be strong; some of the weak heroes are going to be strong/viable.
- What part of the Season 10.5 update surprised you the most?
PvE and Co-op modes.

Jubilee mains rise up.
She has some tricky mechanics that take a bit of sweatiness to get the same defensive value from as some others easier heroes, but it was always there. These buffs are going to increase her survivability for everyone who plays her but much more significantly for those who mastered her original kit. I think we’ll see her climb the tier list once people figure that out.

Honestly I'm one of the few that intends on remaining with Rivals through thick and thin, it's a free game that has an addictive formula and it holds my favorite IP.
- Which heroes do you expect to rise or fall? I expect that Phoenix will rise with her buffs, it's not much but it's something she needed. Fall? Whitefox probably, her buffs last season really impacted my personal playstyle.
- Which change will shake up the meta the most? Phoenix will probably be in more ranked games, which honestly is fine by me.
- What are you most hoping to see in Season 10.5? I'm hoping to see more strat players in ranked.
- How does the patch feel once you've played it? I don't expect anything to change feelings-wise, but I'm hyped abotu the PvE modes
- What part of the Season 10.5 update surprised you the most? 2v2v2v2 seems like an interesting idea in theory.

I see Dino having a slight downfall
Gorr is also gonna join him
Wanda is definitely getting an AOE nerf
Jubilee is gonna be the best support next season
Iron Man might also receive a buff along with Hawkeye
The PvP and the PvE mode is freaking awesome

Jubilee post-buff seems like she’ll rise quickly. Same goes for Magneto since they already felt balanced before a buff.

Prediction -- everyone will say this is the worst season ever, they hate the game, they are leaving the game for good, yet they will be playing and commenting in this sub on a near daily basis. They will be totally outraged by a new topic each week, just to forget about it over the weekend, and then frantically search for a new topic to rage over the following week. Same thing every day, week, and month.

Which heroes do you expect to rise or fall?
Phoenix is going to be a monster at higher ranks, those buff look massive. Personally I also think they go in the wrong direction. Hela and Phoenix have a bit too much overlap, they are practically the same hero. I would love for phoenix to be more of a close ranged DPS than a poke hero. With the addition of Cyclops I think that we should look at making her primary something with limited range as well as icnreasing her HP. I kinda wish she was a Brawl dps rather than a poke DPS.
Cyclops will definitely be stronger but im not sure there still is any reason to play him over Hela or Phoenix. That being said he is easier than either of them so he might actually start to be relevant in lower ranks
Its hard to tell with Ironman how things will go without seeing the ability in game, that being said it does not address his issue of being an immobile large hitboxed fliers with long animations so he'll stay a low rank demon. I do like that it seems like we,ll be able to actually use the missiles now. It being locked behind the overdrive was never a good idea
Hawkeye will definitely be more popular and people will start banning him again and complainning. Oneshot heroes are never fun to play against. I am not sure if he'll be good but him being decent is annoying enought that he'll start being banned. In my opinion this hero needs to be reworked into a 'trick archer' with no oneshot.
I am grateful that you are finally nerfing Gambit's ult a bit, this is a great long awaited change. That being said I do not think it will be nearly enough or that it will change much because range and jump boost were never the issue. For once you nerfed the right thing but somehow you still missed the mark on that particular change. The issue is that the ult cleanses, has a one shot healing of 100, has heals over time, grant explosion, grant movement speed, grant jump... Its not the individual part but the sum of the that is an issue. Nerfing the way you are will simply result in a weaker boring ult. Just get rid of the ult charge acceleration entirely and then get rid of the cleanse entirely since he already has one in his kit anyway. I am happy to see you are buffing back his base kit and I think this is a generaly good change but once again it doesn't seem enough. Jut gut his ult entirely and boost his neutral
For Jubilee I feel like the Blade teamup change was a good idea since it was barely used and I think that the blind duration nerf was a fantastic change. Im not sure about the increased healing on the ult since that never really felt like it was an issue. The self heal might end up being a little too much but I cannot tell without trying it out
Which change will shake up the meta the most?
The meta will stay mostly the same, none of the changes will shake things up. Some hero will rise or fall a little bit but nothing of consequence has really changed. This is one of the issue I have with the last few patches.
What are you most hoping to see in Season 10.5
I hope the Thanos mode is good and replayable. The 2v2v2v... mode seems a bit too silly to hold my attention. Other than that I hope that you heavily consider doing another balance patch.

The Tokon skins will be 1400 because they couldn't get an MVP out in time.
The Times Square event for Avengers Endgame will have a community phot op and stream the Avengers Endgame trailer while some giant blocks the screening.
Groot will get a Night of Illusions skin which will be neat.
The PVP mode will have a ton of throwers which people will complain about. The PVE mode will be chaotic but people will miss it when it's gone.
Gorr will receive slight nerfs while Dino stays strong. Mr. Fantastic will get a nerf for some reason and Peni will get a slight cool down reduction on webs.
Storm summer skin will get it's additional content.
That is my prediction. The 50 player PVE announcement was a bit shocking in a good way. That will be crazy if it works.

Phoenix will surely become more relevant, expecially in poke comps.
I also hope that cyclops doesnt'rise too much, that character is so annoying to deal with.

I just feel bad for the Jubilee buff, that will make diving her more difficult...
- What are you most hoping to see in Season 10.5?
As someone else already said, an emergency patch to shake up the meta, since i dont think those patch notes would do it.

as i said before, i dont think they will have a huge impact on the meta, but we'll see once they come out.

The 50 vs Thanos mode, absolutely looking forward to it!

I definitely think Phoenix will be significantly stronger. Gambit of course will also be strong.
I'm most excited to try out the new modes of course. The Infinity War one sounds interesting, but the 50 player Endgame one is really what's catching my attention. And the skins are so good! I really want Elsa, Invis, Dino, Wanda, and it's obvious that one of the silhouettes is Tokon Storm which I'm giga hyped about

My prediction is that the majority of players are probably going finished their 10 matches of ranked matches and never touch the mode until the PROPER balance comes out. Nonetheless, new PvE and new 18 vs 18 map is the only saving grace here…

- The Thing teamup with Invisible Woman will be used more often.
- Iron Man might be banned more often, the changes to the Micro-Missile Barrage and buff to thor teamup make him a lot stronger.
- Phoenix buff made her way too strong, she will be banned all the time in comp.
- Minor debuff to Devil Dinosaur hp won't effect his selection and gameplay much.
- I can't wait until the new 50 person PvE Mode! Hopefully they optimize it and it won't lag like crazy.
- What surprised me most was the duo pvp mode, reminds me of a mix of moba / battle royale style game.
- The Marvel Rivals x Marvel Tokon collab is nice, its obviously storm and ironman.

My prediction is that while the patchnotes weren't that much, what change we will get will be a shift towards longer range "front-to-back" play, which IMO is unfortunately the least fun or interesting meta.

for duelists - hawkeye rises, scarlet witch falls
for strategists - no change

hawkeye's changes. he's the last remaining sniper character and anytime his mechanics are tweaked he becomes a nightmare everyone complains about until they get toned down slightly...then he's forgotten again.
- What are you most hoping to see in Season 10.5?
How well the Infinity War event turns out. So far the Road to Doomsday events are things you play for a day then go back to laddering.
- How does the patch feel once you've played it?

Phoenix definitely to rise.
I don't think there's any significant changes tbh. Except maybe the phoenix ult change. Well see ppl making comps to maximise her ult
Honestly, a torch secret skin
Feels almost the same
I'd be lying if i said the weak balance changes made be surprised bcz it's expected. Most surprising is they somehow buffed adam only useful teamup

I'm expecting Dino to fall like 2%. Nothing that big like Cyclops or Phoenix, but the HP nerf and the buffs to poke heroes will at least give him a hit.
The new gamemode is pretty fun, the Iron Man missles feel great and WS still feels strong. A lot of SWs around, and Captain America feels weak until you get the shield throwing perks.

Which heroes do you expect to rise or fall?
Rise: As an unapologetic Cyclops and Phoenix main, we are eating so good this patch. Between the buffs and Scott finally getting that Phoenix Force skin, my duo and I are about to melt every lobby we step into. Also Jubilee. Trying to dive her now is basically just donating your body to science.
Fall: Dino losing 25 HP is the funniest placebo nerf I have ever seen, he literally does not care. Gorr though? Pack your bags unc, needing an extra swing to kill someone is an absolute tragedy.
Which change will shake up the meta the most?
The poke buffs for sure. Get ready for 10-minute staring contests where everyone cowers behind two shields, praying they don't accidentally peek into my optic blast and get instantly deleted. Truly thrilling stuff.
What are you most hoping to see in Season 10.5?
That the 6-duo Thanos Hunger Games mode is balanced and doesn't turn my PC into a space heater the second they drop the vs 50 mode with Thanos.
How does the patch feel once you've played it?
Time traveling to say Gambit's ult still cleanses your sins, and pays your taxes, while Iron Man is still getting swatted out of the sky before he can even finish his voice line.
What part of the Season 10.5 update surprised you the most?
Letting us use the beach emotes on dry pavement. I cannot wait to aggressively drift an inner tube down Times Square.

- - I've been doing very good on Jubilee, she was already very strong but now her survivability is crazy
- Which change will shake up the meta the most?
- - definitely the poke buff, specially for phoenix. the amount of damage she is doing is crazy

- - i was moslty hoping to see the new mode, and i was very satisfied with it

- - honeslty i feel like theres still changes to be made, specially for vanguards and strategists

- - i honeslty love the buffs and changes they gave to the characters in the Path to Doomsday mode, i would love if that had some sort of casual game mode that doest last so long because the actual gameplay is very fun, just a bit too long for casual gameplay

A bit too late with the first three questions, hope that doesn't hurt my chances.
The patch feels fine, nothing very noticeable, but I honestly haven't played that much till very recently.
I was not expecting a 2v2v2v2v2v2 mode to come with 10.5 so that's crazy.
Anyways, hope I win but probably won't because I'm late to the party. Best of luck to everyone else who submitted.

I wasn't expecting the new Avengers game mode. I also wasn't expecting the Gambit nerf. He felt great at launch and was easily my favorite Strategist, but all of the nerfs he's got since have left him feeling unappealing to play for me. I am happy about the Phoenix buffs, though. She didn't have enough survivability in my opinion, so I look forward to testing out her changes.

- Jubilee might just become best in class support
- Buffs to cyclops and phoenix might take dino out of the meta.
- Emma might be the best in class tank since she can fill as both shield and brawl tank
- Gorr needs one extra swing for a kill so he's going to be very team dependant during fights
- High poke meta means mid range poke/brawl like Elsa might not be effective

Imma be honest, nothing excites me about the new season yet, maybe the roadmap will but the balance changes and game modes aren't that exciting imo
