hello, i'm an occasional malphite enjoyer when i'm filled top into heavy AD teams. it always suggests sunfire first item but i always skip it and go straight to frozen heart, if the enemy laner is AD at all, especially against heavy auto attackers (or bramble on occasion if he's very heal dependent). wardens mail feels like such a nice spike, gives more armor for better ability scaling, and it fixes alot of my mana issues especially early game. it's also so cheap which is really nice... that said, i feel like almost everyone goes sunfire first so was kinda wondering if i'm trolling by doing it?

Malphite has been sitting at the top of winrate, pickrate and banrate for toplane and havent dipped below a 50% winrate overall since 2022.

He is suppose to be a specialized ad auto attack champion counter, but seems to versatile when we look at pick/ban rate.

Now i know u guys main him but if you can be somewhat objective, what is you guys thoughts on riot seemingly loving Malphite. Is it because his skill floor is so high, that Riot is okay with 52% ish winrate for 20 patches in a row, or what is your thoughts.

Like is there some secret tech to dealing with him or is it just someone u gotta bite the bullet with and ban? Do you win lane against him if you see him top?

Regarding mana before you buy Sapphire Crystal.

You instantly run out on top lane. I have tried many diffirent ways to aproach early lane, but this just feels like an issue overlooked by incompetent Riot.

Hi, Im trying to get malphite into My champion pool since hes great at countering a good amount of toplaners (even ranged ones) and provides great teamfight utility. But I was wondering, when is he a good pick? Hes great against ad, I get that, but only very rarely you will see full ad comps, so in which contexts is a good idea to pick malphite when there are 1 or 2 AP champions in the enemy team? So, let’s say you aim to put a twitch or other adc down as fast as possible , what’s the item and pick order for AP malphite support? I would guess: Malignance - Sorc shoes - Stormsurge - Rabadon - ? Ludence?

But I need you pros to fill in what works best.

I use to grit my teeth and my right shoulder would hurt so much trying to force sett, udyr top, aatrox, garen, nasus, tryndamere, and more to diamond. But wow, I've picked up Malphite. Why? I heard memes that malhpite mains are chill dudes. I get it. Jaw clenching stopped at night, right shoulder and back pains gone.

Lol I USE TO love top just to 3/0 the enemy and deny cs for some sick fun. What's better? Being neutral or slightly behind and being useful all game. Winning lane is cool too.

No more "GUYS WE GOTTA CLOSE GAME NOW BEFORE SCALE", or "wow I went 5/0 and I couldn't carry". My job is to just be good enough, and my quality of life has gone up.

I am officially a malphite main after going from emerald 1 to diamond 4 struggle 5 times into d3.

I’ve always wondered this question and figured the best place to ask would be to the OTPs.

Typically when I play Malphite and I get counterpicked (teemo, vlad, morde, heimer) I just build AP and comet poke. Lately it feels like playing AP and one shotting the back line is more effective than trying to peel or tank the mage meta damage.

Is AP Malphite considered meme territory?

What’s the preferred build into someone like irelia? In my head, I definitely want bramble (into thornmail), frozen heart, and tabis. But what order is best?

My thought it rush bramble. But then do you normally go tabis, finish thornmail, or go frozen heart next and in what order?

just with a rerol of one epic skin + 2 standard one.

or is malphite still a niche pick against some comp in jungle?

Hey guys im pretty new to the game been playing a few weeks and am in bronze. I have been enjoying playing malph in the jungle rushing D&D into zekes and then tank items or malignance if im ahead.

Who should i be banning/not picking malph when enemy picks certain champs.

Hello everyone, I managed to get the WhatsApp Malphite and I was bored at work so I did a bit of theory crafting.

I was thinking about support Malphite, with Comet, manaflow, cdr, scorch, ultimate hunter and cheap shot. Building zekes/mandate and then the other one, with addition of CDR boots.

I have tried it in normals and flex (emerald-dia) elo. Midgame was fun with spamable ult, but lanning phase was just boring, I felt usseles.

Have any or you played Malph support consistently? Or do you know any OTPs who do? Any tips?
