Thread to introduce buyers to sellers. r/lorde is not responsible for any transactions here, please do your due diligence on sellers and use safe independent payment methods ideally with dispute opportunities should something go wrong.
Carried over from original thread, great advice from u/All_hail_Korrok:
**So you're going to buy tickets from someone on reddit: what to know before you DM them:**
I hate scalpers and scammers. I've been there and it's a horrible feeling. I've also read people going through that on band's subreddit. I don't want anyone to experience that and hope this will instill you with a "buyer beware" mentality:
* Check their post history: if their account is new or has a history of selling stuff then proceed with caution. If it's sporadic or has a history of regular comments then they should be ok.
* Buy only through PayPal goods and services: Never accept anything but that. Sellers will insist on using everything but that because "I want to avoid paying fees". Remember: cash app, venmo, paypal f&f, etc. are used for people you know! Stuff for minute things like splitting a bill, gifts, grocery's, or beer money.
* Don't be afraid asking for proof: ask them for a picture or their IG. Remember: this is your money and you reserve all rights to know you're getting what you're paying for.
Always trust your gut and never let the seller dictate your purchase. Any resistance from them should be a red flag. Always proceed with caution.

Now that the Virgin era is officially over, it’s time to be delulu and guess what the next albums theme could be!
3.dance pop. An album filled with songs that make you wanna MOVE and never stop.
I made these collages for fun so don’t take it too seriously!
What kind of album are you hoping for?
Edit // sorry about the Fleetwood Mac pic being ai. I didn’t even notice idk how.

I upgraded my phone and selling ($1) to see if anyone wanted a clear phone case with Lorde confetti form her LA show and duct tape for the theme.
Lmk! I would kinda feel bad just recycling this phone case with the confetti :)

I really hope Lorde releases her concert versions of her songs like Ribs, Greenlight, etc.
Is it just me or her songs hit differently when they’re live. Which song do you think is better live or should be on a special album

I just got all the materials I needed to make my own versions of Lorde Lighters and I think they are super Virgin-coded… If anybody wants one (I can customize it with a couple different things) pm me if you’re interested!
Disclaimer: they aren’t like the most absolutely stunning quality, but I think that also makes it even more virgin type beat

I appreciate cryptic crosswords are not for everyone (I'm not great at them but learning and this was a joy).
Answer is: MELODRAMA
How to solve it: substitute the state abbreviation for Massachusetts x2, then insert into that an anagram (anagram indicator here is 'performing') of 'Lorde'.

I find myself being super emotional that this era is over. And I just need to talk about how Virgin and seeing Lorde for this first time live genuinely, genuinely shifted something inside of me. I saw lorde at All Points East this year. I went with my sister and camped at the east stage the entire day (absolutely no regrets, best fucking view of all time). My sister I wouldn’t even consider a casual fan, she knew the hits but not even the words, just the melodies. It’s now October and she’s still talking about it. Witnessing it live changed her. My sister whos usually so indifferent to everything. My experience at the show, I still can’t put into words. Like, I haven’t even fathomed it. Hearing all my favorite songs live, performed so so beautifully too. The feeling, I feel it in my body? Like when I think of the show and screaming the words to hard feelings, shapeshifter, oceanic feeling etc.. songs that are so so close to my heart, that I’ve sobbed to, that I’ve experienced so much heartbreak listening to. It was just so surreal. And I went in BLIND. I know every word to every lorde song. I love all four albums start to finish. Genuinely. But I’m not like a “stan” in the way that I keep up with her tours and sets etc. If its on the algorithm I’ll see it, but anyways, I just had to express this. Seeing that set at all points east will forever be a core memory for me. Just so beautiful. Thank you ella

hi! long shot but i was lucky enough to have a very special moment during ribs acl weekend two. i don’t think i will ever be able to express how much this tour meant to me and i couldn’t be more thankful. if you have a video of it happening or a decent video of the screen i would be so grateful if you could share 🥲🥲🥲 want to remember this moment forever and was hoping to find anyone on the opposite barricade or near me who may have been recording 💙

Been a fan since 2021 but it was only last year that I've been to my first ever concert of hers.. fuck I still remember the day she teased WWT on tiktok, I remember that it was a wednesday 😭 now, a year and a half (how the fuck did that happen) later, the Virgin era is fully over.. I miss that concert more than anything else.

Not Jack Antonoff, not Jim-E Stack, Lorde herself. She seems like she’s got such a mind and I’d love to hear what she’d make if she was entirely in control.
To be fair, I don’t know the dynamics behind the scenes, and to my knowledge she isn’t quite equipped to solely produce just yet, but to hear music entirely straight from the source I think could really be something.
Love the albums, just would be something different and interesting to hear in this new chapter

feeling super emo now that ultrasound is over hahah. i feel so incredibly lucky i got to go to multiple shows, especially when i thought i wouldn't even be able to see one. i know it sounds dramatic but her concerts actually changed my life, they introduced me to so many new friends and experiences🥹
it's hard for me to pick just one moment, but i think i'd have to go with the show i took my mom to. it felt extra special to hug and cry with her during ribs :,)

"This is our very last show like I was saying, and uh, we've playing ninety-five shows all around the world. [takes a sip water]
And honestly, this tour has changed me as a person. When I make an album, I hope that I will change, really. An album is a document of that process of change, and uh, but this tour, this tour made me become the woman that I hoped I could become one day. Being here in front of you, trying to be the rawest, most authentic version of myself, has set me free in ways that I couldn't really have predicted. So uh, I feel a little emotional right now, ACL.
And recently I've been reflecting a lot on freedom. I uh, this year or last year, my deal with my record company ended, so I am now, for the first time in my career, an independent artist. And so I'm thinking a lot about freedom: those who have it, those who don't, and how those who have it can help those who don't maybe have it. And uh, yeah, this tour has absolutely empowered me to, to own that freedom, to try to investigate it, to try and fight for it for other people. And uh, I can't do that alone. I can't find that freedom. I need this group of people on the stage, behind the stage, in front of the stage, underneath the stage. You have held me as I went in search of that freedom, and I'm so grateful to them for ninety-five amazing shows. I love you guys so much. [kisses in the air]
And now I have this freedom, ACL, shit's gonna get fun. I answer to no one but you, for the first time in my life. I can't tell you how crazy that feels. And I've been thinking recently too, that my whole career, my whole art project under the name LORDE—hey Mike, you see them, right?—it's all about just trying to find freedom, trying to break out of something, trying to get free of something. Every album is a document of that liberation, one more chain comes off.
So, I wanna say thank you so much for supporting me and doing that for 13 years. I was last here at ACL in 2013, and it is very, very fucking cool to come full circle. So ACL, I don't know where I'm going next, but what I do know is that I do it without fear and I do it for you. And as long as you have me, I'll keep singing, I'll keep writing, I'll keep coming back."
