I spent this morning practicing heelsides and toesides. It took a while for the toesides but I managed to get them. I’ve been off any board for about 10 years so it’s really fun experiencing the learning curve again. I’m super stoked about the progress and can’t wait for the next session.

Basically I put surfskate trucks on my drop through longboard and obtained the feel of an ldp board (i think?) , still in process of optimising it but I'm loving it!

OC Action Mile 1000? 👀

I got my first board ever around July 2025. I used it to skate to classes, but never really skated for more than a mile or two at a time. In march of 2026, I first discovered the sport of LDP, and was hooked ever since! I researched everything I could, found local and not so local ldp events, and reached out to some amazing people in the LDP community.

I was super bummed that a large portion of the Atlanta longboarding scene has died out, so I set out on a mission to collect as many local boarders as I could to meet up and cruise around! There are only a couple of skaters I consistently meet up with, but I’m super grateful for this niche, but amazing community.

With that being said. I’m coming up on a milestone that I’m super proud of. One that has not come without blood, sweat, and tears. I’m hoping to celebrate my 1000th mile milestone this Sunday at an open streets event! It’s truly been an amazing ride, and I can’t wait for the 10,000 more miles to come!

Gear Show-Off Broken light mount

I did 90% of my 15 mile ride with just my headlamp this morning. It does fully cover the trail but I was missing the short throw from the board mounted light. So I will definitely get it updated. And it was warm enough this morning that I saw the effects of the lamp dropping the power to keep itself cool. It was in the last 5 min and a section I had already hit once, so no big deal. Buuuut this light would have been super helpful there!

Interestingly enough, I made some minor design changes to the light mount, and added some foam to get rid of the rattling sound.

Surprisingly enough, my new design, that gets rid of the go pro adapters, snapped today on the first rumble strip I crossed!

I’ll have to check my print settings, but it should have been more than strong enough.

But time to iterate and strengthen at the failure point!

Should be pretty easy.

Also, going to make the supersonic version work with infinity bolts!
