It's really surprising how bad they have gotten in the last years. I can't remember a driver update that didn't introduce bugs and performance problems anymore. And I have a few friends that keep asking me nervously if they should even update or wait for the next one.
I help users troubleshoot a game in a discord server I moderate, and every driver of the 6xx series from nvidia presents us a problem in some capacity... We don't know if/when nvidia will resolve the issue.
funny enough that 6xx drivers no longer cause my pc to freeze when 5xx drivers will randomly cause hard freeze. I think it's something to do with nvidia drivers having issues with suspend. but damn their driver is buggy as hell, on Linux at least.
The 6xx issue seems to be specific to windows, as I haven't seen any reports (though they may exist) for Linux. I'm on AMD and Linux so I can't test the issues myself

Lol, NVIDIA drivers are shit on Windows too. Richest company in the world makes the shittiest software imaginable.
I've worked with plenty of NVIDIA hardware using CUDA and tensor for segmentation and it's like everything is some one-off science experiment.
