Context for you. I found this lighter in the New York markets in April. It was gold colored, curvy and had an almost keychain/finger hole in it. I got it confiscated by the tsa people as it was a jet lighter and since then I have been unable to find anything remotely similar to it. Seller said it was from 1990s/2000s. I drew this picture which really doesn’t give much but a general idea

I’m new to lighters, I recently purchased this Fumaluxx FL400 lighter and am unsure if the top coil is good as I do not have a battery to test it yet. If it’s broken I was hoping to find a way to fix it unless that’s not possible.

I found this lighter and want to get it working. I know it’s a Flaminaire but nothing more. It seems to be missing the tube connecting the gas valve and the outlet. Any help on repairing it would also be greatly appreciated! Thanks

I just discovered the brand Thorens through facebook, and in each of their videos, they fill the lighters they’re advertising with a little handheld metal squeeze bottle. Tried looking on their site but couldn’t find it for sale. Anyone have any recommendations on a similar refillable “dispenser” for lack of better word?

4 lighters and a new Zorro lighter insert I want to try.
I will put the insert into my 915s.
I got a new Zorro 860s.
2 classic IMCOs they are rusty but I believe all mechanics are there.
I want to restore the IMCOs should I send it to a shop or clean then myself.
Do i need a drill to take out the pins holding the parts together?
Also want to protect it but electric plating I think that should add some protection or maybe some paint not sure?
Any tips on repairing them would be greatly appreciated.
I will show my other lighters later.
$195.25 i paid in total.

Was going through my dad’s toolbox looking for some pipe tools, and found this little number.
Not a lighter in practice but works very similar.
My grandfather was a newfie, proud of it, and he used to carry this inside his coat on the old sailboat.
Figured you all would enjoy, very shiny

hello! i recently got this zaima castaly off marketplace. as someone kinda new to butane lighters (dispos are fine, but im used to smoking with my cheap electric one since i dislike the taste of gas) i was wondering how to best get this up and running? theres some light rusting and the (i assume) flint piece snags on the top since its a little loose, but i was assuming soak piece in rustoleum (rust-ease? i forget what i have in the garage) or wd40, light scrub, wash and dry? i have more expierience with electronic repair than flammable, so i wanted to know how to best tackle this. thank you!

As the total asks, I am looking for a modern lighter in the style of a K16 squeeze lighter.
If anyone can tell me the name to search for or provide a link I would be extremely grateful.
Thank you in advance.

I got this MINK lighter on Facebook market place for quite cheap (around $10), seller says its 1970's and made in Japan.
This will be my first non-disposable lighter and i just wanted to know if anyone had any information on this lighter.
Specifically, what the red/brown insert is on the top, how to refill and how to put a new flint (or if it even uses flint)
Any and all insight will be appreciated.
Note: I've purchased the lighter but it hasn't arrived yet, so I cant send additional images until it has been delivered

Hi everyone,
I recently acquired a 1970s Dunhill Rollagas lighter. The lighter is in excellent condition overall, but unfortunately, I haven’t been able to fill it with gas properly.
Initially, I thought the problem might be the filling adapter, so I purchased a dedicated brass adapter to ensure a proper fit and avoid damaging the small filling pin on the bottom of the lighter.
However, whenever I try to fill it with butane, gas starts escaping under pressure through a small hole on the underside of the lighter, right next to the filling valve. If I open the lid and tilt the lighter, gas also escapes under pressure through the burner nozzle.
I’m not sure whether I’m doing something wrong or whether the lighter has a faulty valve or another internal issue.
Has anyone experienced something similar with a vintage Dunhill Rollagas? Is there a particular procedure for filling these lighters, or does this sound like a problem that requires servicing?
Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance!
