Question Transporting Barad-Dûr
Anyone had experience with transporting the Barad-Dûr set once built?
I'm due to move house in the next 6 months. I've had the set sat around waiting for a while and am keen to build it but have held off because I don't expect that it transports well. Journey will be approx. 1 hour and mostly motorway.
Do I bite the bullet and crack it open or wait? 🤔

I am contemplating the same, but big bags, and put the sections each in their own bag, so bottom, then the middle and then put the tower in its own bag, wrap that in bubble wrap maybe some thin bubble wrap around the outside of the other two sections outside the bags. Bags are there to help identify where the pieces came from, and to prevent pieces any pieces from escaping your box.
This has worked for me for traveling with various builds to conventions.

Build it! You'll find that it's assembled in multiple tiers, these can be easily taken apart and packed in a box for transport. I had no issues bringing mine across town after it was built. Besides, if something does come apart you can just rebuild it!

I would probably disassemble the sections of tiers you build it in, there's basically the large base portion then 2 parts of the tower. Much easier to move in those 3 sections at least. But it is still a big build so waiting might be easier, esp some of the smaller details bricks may fall off.

Everyone acts like moving legos is some sort of astronomical feat. You break it down into small parts I need built, like every single lego set ever.
