I just tapped the up arrow a dozen times so I could upvote this 6 times. I know, it doesn't affect the count, but I get the thrill of the updoot 6 times

The importance of the Reflecting Pool is it demonstrates that Trump and his crony impulses of a no-bid to a guy he knows (because this guy will give him a kickback or future favor) ends up as a disaster, wasting money, failed project and in the end results in a persecution of innocent citizens to cover for his failure.
This is a snapshot of his so-called leadership.

u/VampireOnHoyt 2h ago edited 2h ago
Worse yet, it demonstrates that Trump will make up stories about innocent people and arrest and prosecute them in order to cover up his own failures. There is literally nothing he says that can be trusted.

Not only that, but the company that did the same maintenance during the Obama administration, told them that the job wouldn't work, for numerous reasons, and then they found someone who agreed anyway... and those exact things happened. That's not even a snapshot of the Trump presidencies, that is exactly the same thing that the GOP has repeatedly caused throughout literally my entire life. These people have destroyed my generations chance at a normal life.

So exactly the same way he’s run his businesses for the 40 years then!! Can he bankrupt America 5 times over 👻

u/sweatboxy 2h ago
Multiple the reflection pool corruption and incompetence by literally billions and you get an idea of what the last two years of Trump’s Republican-empowered government has done to the United States.
12
u/modakim 2h ago
Both republican presidents in the last two decades have been disaster class. They should never be voted in again.

And each term gets worse than the one before it. It’s completely unsustainable.

u/Smishysmash 2h ago
It’s so funny to me that this inspection report was commissioned by the crony who did the work and is clearly trying to lay the blame on the Feds by saying the Feds required certain products be used and rushed to refill the pool to meet the 250 party deadline.
This crony clearly thinks they’re about to be under the bus.

My guess is that Trump himself specified the vendor, what to use, and the time frame. Because he's a resort guy and he knows pools and there is no way he is not the worst kind of micromanager out there. Which is why he went so ballistic when it failed and insisted on finding a scape goat: There was no way this wasn't his fault so he desperately had to find someone else to pin it on or he would have to admit he was wrong.

u/T00luser 1h ago
trump acts in every interaction (business or personal) like the sexual abuser we know him to be.

This is fascism as a whole, rewarding loyalty over competence. It always will be its own undoing, the only question is how many of us will suffer before it falls apart.

u/ThrownAway17Years 17m ago
I’ll bet he owed that guy for work that he never paid for. The pool job being his way of paying it off using tax dollars.

Trump's leadership has made us all safer. The reflecting pool was weeks away from a nuclear weapon. Do you want that for our children?
Thank you President Trump!

u/Turbulent-Society-30 2h ago
I heard the Reflecting Pool was in the Epstein files. Trump saved the day again!
6
u/dwagon00 52m ago
Sorry citizen those files don’t exist and never have. That’s why we went to war.
1
u/handandfoot8099 1m ago
Millions of man-hours in overtime at the FBI to redact his name from the hoax files that don't exist.

I thought the illegal caravan reflecting pool finally being dismantled is a hallmark of this Presidency...

u/HoodieGalore 1h ago
Tha pool was listed in the Trump Files over a quarter of a brazillion times! Can you imagine the filth in that pool?! Drain the pool!!!

u/Slickwats4 1h ago
I heard there was reflecting poop feet away from him, usually inches away from him, mostly touching him at all times.

Any MAGAs here wanna defend this liar?

u/Distinct-Ice-700 2h ago
Arguing with a Maga is the exact same thing as arguing with a flat earther.
36
u/Heckbound_Heart 2h ago
Difference is; I have successfully converted people away from Flat Earth beliefs, through science.

u/King_of_the_Kobolds 1h ago edited 19m ago
There's no point in arguing with them and the vast majority will never, ever change their minds.
We need to idiot proof our government so even when the troglodytes get a Trump into office, the checks and balances are so tight that their dear leader is forced to go in front of camera and admit to them he doesn't have the power to be as evil as they want.

The Russian data centers were bombed by Ukraine so it'll be a little while before the pro maga bots are active again.

Russian bot farms are unfortunately alive and well, don't be fooled into complacency.

u/Turbulent-Society-30 2h ago
You could drag a MAGA supporter into the ruined Reflecting Pool, and they'd still whine, "Where's the proof??"

Most of them went down in a blaze of glory with Russian data centers recently destroyed. It’s been much more pleasant lately.

You're just as dumb as they are if you think any of them would chime in and admit they were wrong

Playing devils advocate.
The stock market has hit the all time high like 48 times - the art of the deal got us some diesel from Russia . A ball room built like the silo (tv show ) … 🐿️
Why aren’t there public bomb shelters?Seriously … I thought we would’ve built a ton of these. Better to have it and not need it kind of thing. If there are ones, shouldn’t this have been communicated alongside emergency phone numbers?
Note: just thinking out loud
Edit: easy folks. I just taking the perspective of someone who would defend. Factual-ish response followed by a wondering thought.

The fuck does factual-ish mean?

You have a growing amount of debt and the entire stock market valuation hinges on a couple tech companies making pinky promises to each other while they move billion dollar investments around in a circle between all of them. I think it's debatable if this is a good thing, if they fail they're gonna come down like a deck of cards and drag everyone with them. Also, this isn't some grand plan Trump set into work that you're seeing the result of, this was happening regardless of who is president, so why even attribute it to him. The only thing he has done is get in on the hype and done securities fraud to enrich himself, plus the adjacent crypto scams that you could argue has little to do with the AI bubble
1
u/RunOverRover 40m ago
100 . Our national debt is nauseating, scary if you add bonds into the equation. Horrifying once you realize it’s a house of cards hinging on future growth of a product that neither the customer or the manufacturer knows a lot about.
Regarding coat-tailing this ride at the highest levels - George Carlin’s country club joke sums it up.

u/fox-mcleod 4m ago
Either their economy is circular or it isn't. If it's circular, who else are they going to drag down with them and how?
1
u/inevitable-typo 1h ago edited 1h ago
How much of Wall Street's record breaking relies on the ai bubble huffing its own farts? Aren't we only desperate for diesel because of Trump's rapidly shriveling dick waggling in Iran? In what way does Trump's gilded bunker benefit the American people?
Goddamn. Even the devil seems to be phoning it in at this point.
1
u/MuchAfraidGotOverIt 1h ago
We wouldn’t have needed diesel from Russia (which isn’t going to drive prices down in any meaningful way), if he hadn’t started a forever war with Iran. Like a firefighter starting the fire to take credit for putting it out. Yikes.
1
u/juanjing 1h ago
The only thing that even remotely sounds positive out of what you mentioned is simply the effect of the rapidly expanding AI bubble.
lol what possessed you to post this?
1
u/yoy22 55m ago
Counter points to that:
> stock market has hit an all time high
That doesn’t help people afford things at the lower income level
> art of the deal got us diesel from Russia
We’re funding their war in Ukraine. Also, not invading Iran would have made gas not go up like this
> a ball room built like the silo
Isn’t built yet.

and of course absolutely no punishment for the man who slandered a bypasser and put him through the court wringer on charges that were entirely false.
