I am a Comm/ Business major and I have been struggling with being more disciplined (especially after taking a gap year) which made me fail two midterms so far..
I self teach all the time (was late to registration and all my profs suck) but it’s still not enough.
I need to ace the rest of my midterms so I can pass the courses, how do you self discipline in a college setting? Curious to hear your inputs :)

Hi everyone! I hope it’s okay to ask this here.
I applied to Langara College’s PDD NPIC program for the January 2027 intake, but unfortunately, my application was refused because the program was full.
I completely understand that the program has limited seats, and I respect that the college has to manage its enrolment capacity. I’m not expecting special treatment; I’m just trying to understand whether reconsideration is ever possible in this situation.
I’m wondering if anyone here has experienced something similar. Were you ever reconsidered or offered a seat later on, even if no openings were initially available? Or is it generally best to prepare for the next intake?
I understand that every situation is different, and I’m not expecting anyone to predict the outcome of my application. I’d just appreciate hearing about your experiences or any advice on what steps I could reasonably take.
Thank you for taking the time to read my post. I appreciate any insight you can share!

Hey, as the title suggests, I am a student in Prof Beiggi's Health Science class, I was wondering what other students felt about the midterm, and if anyone knows when we will be getting it back? Also curious on how everyone has been feeling about the class in general.

Does anyone have any professor recommendations for these courses? Especially for ENGL 1123, I’m not very strong in English, so I’m hoping to find a professor who explains things clearly, is helpful, and is understanding towards students. I’d really appreciate any recommendations or advice. Thank you! 🥹💗

As title says, recently I’ve noticed that there’s always two white people in suits or semi formal would select random students tryin to ask questions, what are they asking? Those students being asked seems bit uncomfortable.

If I withdraw from a course this semester, do I still get access to Brightspace for it or do I lose it immediately? I need to drop one but I would like to stay on top of the notes to try again next semester and work ahead. The prof only publishes them week by week.

Hi, im currently a first year nutrition student who just started school in sep at ubc and ive honestly not been having the best time here. This made me start thinking about if im in the right path/program for what i actually want to pursue in. This past month since school began, ive realized i have an interest in nursing and started researching nursing pathways in Vancouver as i would like to stay local. Although there is an option for nursing at ubc if i would like to stay here, ive heard it’s not the best compared to langara and bcit as it doesn’t offer as much hands on teaching. Many people also say that ubc nursing is hard to get in so i dont want to waste 2 years of my time for a program that i will probably get rejected by.
I’m posting on here hoping that someone else have had similar experiences of transferring from ubc into langara nursing and how that worked out for them. Or just any current langara nursing students who might be able to give me some insights into the program and if u would recommend for me to stay at ubc or transfer to langara?

I was enrolled here but ended up on academic probation because I struggled to balance out life and school. I was also skeptical of whether my major would actually get me a decent job, so I decided to drop out. Just under four years has passed since then and I'm wondering if anybody has advice on whether I should return or find a different college. I'd prefer to return just because the commute is the shortest. Even if you haven't been in this situation it would be nice to hear some opinions on what you would do. Thanks!

Hi everyone, I am currently a student at UFV and I am doing my last pre req for nursing, does anyone know what my chances of getting in is?
ENGL 1123: A-
BIOL 1190: A
STAT 1124: A-
I'm currently taking BIOL 1191 and I'm expecting it to be an A as well and for my last ENGL requirement Im currently taking it at TRU expecting an A or A-
I've been rejected once and waitlist another time at UFV so I'm really not confident
Everything is taken at UFV beside the last ENGL course

I changed my mind about doing my major at Langara and want to go somewhere like BCIT would I send a transfer application or can I just send a regular BCIT application? (2nd year currently)

Has anyone here been accepted into summer semester at UBC? Just applied and did summer 2027 for Bachelors of Arts and I’m starting to regret it - because of course pace, chances of getting in summer vs winter.
I applied with a 3.2gpa to 3rd year admissions (not the best I know)

So I was accepted a few months ago and have finished most of the additional requirements (criminal record check, cpr/aed/bls hcp..etc..) but I haven't received any emails recently from Langara. This is making me mildly nervous (which I know is silly...).
I'm wondering how course registration will work. Do we activate our registration time at some point like when we did our pre-recs? The screenshot attached is the term 1 courses off the website.
Also, hiiii, excited to meet everyone :D

So yeah.. I am very bummed out because i studied so hard for this midterm and ended up getting 49%.. the class average is already under 60% (weird..) I am very lost and don’t know what to do..

I'm doing an associates for psychology arts and I need a first year math course. The thing is, I didn't take math in grade 12 so I don't actually qualify for some of the courses. I could take CPSC 1050 but I'm really worried because I have zero experience and I've always been pretty bad at math. I'm looking for a course that wouldn't be too challenging because I just need to get the 3 credits.

Its a mixed mode course, I didnt mean to take mixed mode but we ball ig. I'm struggling a bit out putting forth my best effort regardless. Anyways, I tried emailing him and I booked with accomodation services weeks ago once the semester course schedule was available. I emailed him through my langara email my accommodation letter as well as a follow-up on the midterm. I even said if I need to write it with everyone else thats totally okay, I just need my other accommodations met. No response 😭 I genuinely dk what to do considering we dont have class until wednesday and the midterm is on the 19th. ON MY BIRTHDAY 😭 .
I dont know if this is a rant or a plea for help but my brain is cooked from the stress.

Hi! I’m a high school student interested in nursing, and I was wondering if you could share a little bit about your experience and how the process worked for you!
I’m currently in Grade 12, and I’ve applied to Langara’s Foundations in Health Studies program and Douglas's Academic Foundations for Potential Nursing program. My plan is to complete my prerequisites and then hopefully apply to BCIT’s nursing program (Langara, Douglas, and other programs will also be fine), but I’m still a little confused about the whole process, especially when it comes to which courses I need to take.
I was wondering what your pathway into nursing looked like, which classes you took to complete your prerequisites, and how you figured out which courses you needed. I feel a little lost trying to navigate everything, so hearing about your experience would really help!
Thank you so much!

Anybody like having second thoughts of if they want to keep continuing with what their doing rn? Bec rn I'm 2nd year and I don't think I'll be able to continue doing this and I rather do something more hands on like a trade or something is it too late?
