Turks, Arabs, and Persians have their own ethno-states but if Kurds want basic survival, suddenly it's a problem? They just ignore brown fascism and middle eastern imperialism because it doesn't fit their worldview, they have been ethnically cleansing and occupying Kurds for a century, but Western leftists turn a blind eye because the colonizers aren't Western. They don't care about oppressed people, they just care about hating the West.
Intellectual dishonesty and lack of consistence. Revolutionaries and resistance groups are justified in fighting for autonomy, until it's kurds then it's actually really really wrong.
You know what the most funny thing is? They dont consider turkey an ethno state hahaha. You should even ask the woke ChatGPT. I was laughing my ass off.
Just imagine we as Kurds know it is bullsh*t. But just imagine some western people/ministers etc just looking at us as they see asians all as Chinese and then reading stuff like that. They will never question that information and then be against a Kurdistan because ETNO state.
They are not just Persians. For instance, even the Bible praises king Cyrus. But the former supreme leader, (not Persian btw), hated him and called him a tyrant. Then we have Sadegh Khalkhali, a high ranking Mullah (again not Persian). Wanted to bulldoze an ancient Persian site because that it was pre-Islamic.
The grand majority of Iran is "Persian" if you can call it that. So of course the majority of IRGC will be too. Same in the Iraqi military during Saddam Hussein. The majority of Saddams army was Shia. Why? Because that the majority of Iraq was Shia.
In some countries like Iran, it tends to be the Father that determines the childs ethnicity, Same is true in Turkey and Arab states. Don't Kuwaitis only give citisenship to people with Kuwaiti fathers and not mothers?
Again. Was Saddam Husseins Iraq a Shia one? Because that his army was mostly Shia? In schools, they didn't even teach about Shia in Islamic class. Just Sunni. Shia Islam was taught with other religions.
I know what you are doing. Arab media call the Islamic Republic Persian. And the Mullahs مجوس . This has shaped your way of thinking. This is not your fault.
But you can't just drop words you heard or read online
An ethnostate is generally understood to mean a country that is intended to belong primarily or exclusively to one ethnic group, often with laws or policies that favor that group.
Arabs: No single Arab ethnostate exists. There are many Arab-majority countries (such as Iraq, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt), but they are generally recognized as nation-states with minorities rather than ethnostates.
Turks: Turkey was founded as the homeland of the Turkish nation and has a strong Turkish national identity. However, it also has significant ethnic minorities, such as Kurds, and is generally described as a nation-state rather than an ethnostate.
Iranians: Iran is not an ethnostate. It is home to many ethnic groups, including Persians, Azeris, Kurds, Lurs, Arabs, Baluch, and others.
Crazy cause turkey and Azerbaijan actually has ties to turkey, and follow Israel’s strategy and way of foreign influence more then any other middle eastern nation.
Yet Kurds trying to have a state is isreal 2.0?
What nation not only trades with isreal, but also recognized it as a state? What state outlawed other native languages in the region and had genocides they denied? What state currently occupies other nations lands? It’s not Kurdistan it’s turkey.
Hasan was either signifying allegiance to Turkish death squads or trying to get a classroom of children to quiet down. Which do we think is more likely?
Sure buddy, that why my parents tortured by the Turkish state in prison, that is why both live in extreme health conditions who needs constant care from other. Thank you so much, for decades I thought they were leftist like Sırrı Süreyya but you made me realize.
Fucking racist are everywhere and Hasan is like you.
Talking out of anger is a shit excuse and we are using it too much, like you know Kurds are not some wildman who talks with pure emotions right? Calling out someone for nonlogical response is completely righteous imo
Im not talking out of anger. What do you want me to do? Feel sorry? I will never ever feel sorry on what you guys suffer from since you were the ones establishing such a failed corrupt state in the first place. At the end of the day you still have your culture, language, etnicity recognized.
We (especially I) dont care about what happens in turkish lands. I as a Kurd do not want to be a part of your flag, identity or whatever. I dont care if you are “real” leftist or not, because the moment it is about Kurdistan you all take the same stance.
Maybe these guys get fooled and still think of some good but not me. Im sick of the leftists using democracy to fool us and the muslims using the ummah.
Hasan is an idiot not even worthy of having a platform on which to speak. He knows nothing about anything. Literal idiot. Doesn't even know where Yemen is on a map with over one and a half decade of political commentary and yet insists on talking about middle eastern geopolitics.
So many people on this subreddit are keen to defend Turkish commentators that aren't outwardly expressive of their kurdish hate it's so weird. So many jashs
Hasan is fascist I got blocked from his reddit for calling out his bullshit, he's a piece of crap, Turkish racist no news there, he is an ignoramus - Kurdistan is occupied by imperialist states such as Iraq ????????????
Hasan piker has almost no leftist principles besides “America bad” lol I used to watch him until he literally admitted to going to a brothel with sex trafficked women and refused to acknowledge it
i think he’s considered leftist based on american politics, which are basically right wing, just different colors
but he’s an ass anyways. idk how people take him seriously when he’s been using palestine as a shield against criticism even if he refused to boycott. the hijabi asking him to stop drinking pepsi on stream and him acting like he didn’t know that pepsi was boycotted gives me second hand embarrassment, especially him saying ‘i’ll put it in a glass’
like yeah, what an ally to his morals and principles. his uncle, who facilitated his career, is also a weirdo and hasan bragged about being able to evade military service in turkey, forgetting to mention that he managed to do that by growing up rich lol
I agree he’s an ass. But I’m left leaning myself, the misogyny in leftist men is almost identical to the right wingers so yeah in terms of that I agree but otherwise the left is very different from the right in terms of political ideology and management. Hasan literally said “whenever America fights any country, just side with their opponent” this is his supposed version of leftism (anti MAGA) + he hates on queer people and women. Just saying “tax the rich” every once in a while like an idiot doesn’t put you in a box.He supported the Islamic republic but not the actual Iranian women who needed support.
I think you mean the democrats? The leftists don’t even want this current government let alone power. They want to be stateless and classless. Or at least a little socialist. having universal free healthcare or something. Im not sure what you mean by “American leftists”
Socialism has become a linguistic battlefield. I don’t mean full state control over production and distribution. For some people it’s a mixed economy where public services like healthcare, education, and infrastructure are guaranteed, while markets handle the rest. Im aware I should have probably used the word social democracy. Anyway, im not giving into any propaganda because i didnt make any such claims. I didnt even mean that free healthcare is socialist, i was trying to give examples for the left not socialism. Peace ✌️
i don’t know if you live in the us or not (i don’t) but whenever i see democrat vs republican they’re basically the same thing (not exactly but i don’t feel like they’re that different, especially when it comes to their approach to women, minorities and muslims/people from muslim countries)
i think that the closest to being ‘left leaning’ was bernie but he’s never even made the race afaik, so i don’t feel like americans are really left leaning tbh. i don’t know if it makes sense, like they’re probably closer (imo) to a right leaning centrist than they are to a leftist, even if they might identify as leftists
but granted, i grew up in a country where we had communism (obv i didn’t grow up in communism cause i’m too young to have experienced it but both my mom and grandparents on her side did) and i don’t feel like the average american leftist is close to the actual ideology of the left
i feel like they just confused not wanting to be constantly fucked over by the 1% and wanting to be treated like human beings with actually being left leaning
obv this is my perspective as an outsider, i don’t have many (if any) american friends, but i’m just looking at who they consider left vs right and their ideologies are pretty similar
but i agree that there isn’t much difference in how they or the right treat women, but i again i think it’s mostly because a lot of leftists in the us don’t seem to fully grasp the ideology. imo being against fascism doesn’t immediately make you a leftist but i could be wrong, i’m kind of out of tune with politics nowadays since i feel like we keep getting fucked over, i needed a cleansing lol
Hasan is not wrong. When the US and Israel talk about helping the Kurds it is only because it fits their interests. They did use us when fighting Saddam and Assad.
Our cause is not negated by foreign countries somehow "benefitting" from us which isn't even true btw, Kurdistan is occupied whether you or I like it or not that is fact - why do we have to police the USA claiming to help us ?
If they helped us as much as you people claim we would have a state by now. Enough of this rhetoric we are fed up.
We were fighting Saddam anyway - this is pure ignorance, please learn Kurdish history - We have a cause older than Israel, stop with this garbage,
Of course, and the Kurds want to help them for their own good, it's very normal, literally that's how most countries decide who to ally with! I mean USA & USSR fought on the same side during WW2!
Yes, the difference is just that Kurdistan is not a superpower like the USSR. Ones the Kurds are done fighting USs enemy the US will turn their back to us and see us being attacked from either turkey or some new regime.
It has worked well in the past sometimes, it's always gamble and I'm afraid, but other choices are there? Often the alternative would be submission and sucide, that's what history shows us!
I dont think the war and deads are worth the try for now. I dont agree that the alternative would be submission and suicide. It has not been so far. When Iran is more ustabil the kurds shall rise again.
I'm not talking about this Iran was in particular, I'm referencing to the many many other examples in all 4 parts of Kurdistan in the past. History teaches the Kurds should never trust the Arabs, Turks & Persians!
We are being attacked already, have you seen what's happening to Kurds under the oppression of Iran? Or Turkey for that matter, for Gods sake a guy got sentenced to 1 yr and 3 months prison in Diyarbakir for speaking Kurdish only with customers in his own cafe wtf????? https://dusun-think.net/en/news/prison-sentence-for-cafe-owner-who-served-customers-in-kurdish/ (Sorry it's in Turkish cannot find any other sources).
Hasan is clearly wrong about the idea of joint imposition of kurdish military intervention in Iran, as there was a perfect opportunity for exactly that to happen earlier this year and it didn't. He's also comically wrong in the comparison to Israel because it's the most historically and geopolitcally inaccurate analogy that somebody could possibly ever come up with.
Dont see what this comment serves to do other than attempt to rectify the clearly defamatory assertions of an idiot whose commentary serves to do nothing other than brew antagonism towards kurds. Also he doesn't even know where Yemen is on a map so in as much as politics is concerned it's safe to say him or any of his fans should be sitting any and all conversations about the middle east out.
If the Kurds went into Iran earlier this year, alot would die and the went the regime in Iran fall the US would abandon the Kurds just like in Rojava. It is a good thing we rejected the US and not interfered in Iran.
The US uses the Jews to destabilize the middle east just like the us want to use the Kurds to do the same.
Just admit you’re pro-IRGC and save us your lecture. Iran is a Russian puppet, Arab monarchies are US puppets, every single state in the middle east relies on outside power. But when Kurds want support to survive, suddenly we're "being used"? Go and tell your Arab and Iranian friends that they're "being used" too, You don't care about Kurds or Rojava, you just care about protecting your favorite mullahs regime.
Notice how people like you only care about "Kurdish safety" when it involves US? When our people actually get killed by those regimes, you're silent.
I am a Kurd myself. But a revolution in Iran would just end like Rojava. The best option is to follow PKK. Don't fight for now. When the right moment come the Kurds will be free.
Once the US have installed a puppet state in Iran they would gladly crush any Kurdish movent in East Kurdistan.
Lol, wasn't Rojava following PKK? Look where they ended up. Your solution is to wait? Wait for what? until Turkey take over Rojhelat? and who will give you the weapons anyway? Turkey loves people like you. They don't even need to disarm us themselves when you're telling Kurds to stay disarmed and wait forever. You're giving Erdogan everything he wants.
And which nations do something out of the goodness of their heart? You think US and Israel love each other because they find them beautiful? Politics is all about opportunistic relationships.
I know and that is why the us is gonna betray us right after they are done with Iran. I do not think any nation do goodness of their heart. That is exactly what I am arguing against.
so? that's how Arabs got their states they aligned themselves with British... i wish our stupid ancestors did the same but instead they fought against British and fastforward to now we are in a miserable situation
Hasan just says the most popular thing on the left at the moment, and contradicts himself constantly, especially if Turkey is involved.
His opinions don't even make sense logically unless you view it from this perspective.
He advocates for gay and women's rights but simultaneously supports Houthis who stone women and gays to death regularly.
He wants to sound subversive and like some sort of Che Gueverra figure but simultaneously owns a sports car and never criticizes Turkey (probably because he's scared and knows what happens when you criticize a truly authoritarian government).
I hope someday Sam Hyde boxes him, but we all know deep down Hasan is a coward and won't do that. He only does "brave" things when he is behind a curtain of protection.
he is completely right though. trump and the US is dangling the hope of an independent country to make the kurds aid with their dirty work against iran for them on behalf of the israelis, and the barzanis will obviously bow down to them. and trump will abandon the kurds again when we are no longer useful to him. how is he wrong here
we can achieve so without having the peshmerga fight israel’s wars and establishing our own ethnostate with the help of the US in exchange for aligning ourselves with the US interest, which is the opposite of self determination. to answer the bad faith question, everyone knows he did not shock his dog as per the evidence, a point which is irrelevant to the kurdish struggle and confirms that the kurds are not your priority here for you it’s just “hasan bad”
If you don't believe that hasan piker shocked his dog then you are either completely ideologically captured by him, or actively doing propaganda for him. Given that you presupposed that "everyone" agrees with you when literally nobody outside of his cult does then I assume you are doing propaganda for him. It's simply fact that he did and it's been proven 1000 different ways, it's akin to asking a voter if they think joe biden won the 2020 election.
It's a relevant question because it speaks to whether I am simply wasting my time arguing with a propagandist or not.
Just admit you don't have the range for this conversation. Kurdish sovereignty is a subject with many different revolutionary approaches and ideas for how we get there and achieve it. The US and Israel are absolutely trying to push Kurdish self determination as a way to use us as proxies and further balkanize and subjugate the region. We were fucked by S-P and we will continue being fucked if we listen to these assholes. We've never needed them. My family would never be foot soldiers for Israel ambitions, they wouldn't care if we all died down to the last Kurd. USA already has shown they will abandon.
That doesn't mean people like Hasan are coming from any place of good faith when it comes to Kurdish statehood especially in Bakur, but I'm not meant to care what he says. I never liked him. I do care what fellow stupid Kurds say though

the spanish bicolor flag is basically a spanish nationalist symbol and mainly used by the far right, a communist or leftist would not use it, it would use the tricolor republican. Its like if turkish guy was wearing a grey wolves shirt and i said "oh a grey wolf shirt so what"
Everybody in the world knows. Chosen people and the Americans are using the kurds to do their dirty work. If kurds had to attack they would but IRGC is proven force of nature. Not a dancing on a dime army.
He is an Israeli asset. When he took over the chosen people were blasting champagnes. I implore kurds not walk in the footsteps of Jolani and not be a dancing in a dime army
Or Kurdish people use anyone they can to get to their objectives (which usually is survival tbh). It can also be looked at that way, like any other country: USA, Israel, the Arab countries they all ally with who ever can help THEM, why should the Kurds act differently? Besides the Kurds are not a monophyletic politically. of . Kurdistan is divided over 4 main parts and each part has to fight a different respective coloniser and invader in order to survive. And they (Turkey, Iran, Iraq & Syria) are all very different ideologically, politically, militarily etc. And also in who the ally with, in fact the only thing they all have in common is their hatred and effort to erase the Kurds, so obviously the response and fight back have to be different. Again, this is not unique to Kurdish people, the USA created Al-qaeda and later invaded Afghanistan in order to destroy them.
Allying and getting chewed up and spit out are two different things. Just because you want your land. Does that mean you have to go against your humanity and become foot soldiers for regimes who would slaughter your kids if they had to. I saw what happened to you guys in Syria. Chosen people and Anericans didnt help you, did they?
America has not actually actively gone out to kill Kurdish people at any point in history. The only people who have actually killed and tried to erase the Kurds over and over again are the Turks, Arabs and Persians, period! Whatever happened to their humanity? I mean they even have their lands! Why does there seem to be a different standards and expectations for the Kurds? lol
