Ask Short term stay in Kosovo
Hello, I was recently accepted into a study abroad program in Pristina, Kosovo and am responsible for finding my own housing.
I will be staying January 14 towards the end of May. I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for where I can find landlords that offer short term leases.
I prefer to live within or nearby the city center.

Probably look at the rruga B , it's about 15 minutes from city center. There is nothing far from city center in Prishtina really , we are a dense city. Other than that we do not have a must not go neighborhood like in many other countries. But check for rruga B as it's the best value per place.
If the payments is not a problem then probably any place in prishtina even in the city center, most of them will probably will make a deal for for 3-4 months , i think! This used to not be a problem , but perhaps something might have changed.

Thank you for the recommendation, rruga B looks like a great place, will definitely check listings out there. I ask about the 4 months because in the US they make us sign a minimum one year lease and I don’t know if it’s the same case in Kosovo or not.
I don’t mind spending more to be in the city center since I prefer being around busy areas.

Rruga B it's quite busy! You are within a busy area! And most of Prishtina always is , cause it is dense! And no the one year lease is not really common here.

Sounds like the perfect area I’ll definitely do some more research into it. Do you know any realtors that advertise apartments in that area?

Rruga B is NOT near the center. It's a 30 min walk on a stiff upwards road from the center.
There are better places.

Look for real estate agencies! I don’t have experience with any of them but I hear they’re useful

You can always message airbnb landlords and ask them for offers. There's plenty of them who would offer cheaper prices for 4-5 months instead of dealing with different people all the time. And since the season doesn't start until May it might be also not so busy for them.

I don’t know if this will work, but try to contact the dormitory in the UP campus. They have specific rooms for international students and maybe they can accommodate you there.
