when you buy a packaged mr. store item through the mall does it still persist through ascensions with you like they do from the tap? sorry if this is a stupid or frequently asked question

Kolmafia takes a few minutes to start, as it is a fairly big java tool and does a lot of things. This is absolutely fine. I usually just read reddit during this time. During this starting up process kolmafia starts up screens that aren't particularly useful at that moment and interrupts my browsing 4 times. After say 30 seconds the login screen, 20 seconds later the kolmafia main screen, 20 seconds later the browser main screen and at the end of my login.ash the skeleton of crimbo past item of the day screen. Is there a way to start all of this automatically and in the background so i can just focus on my reading till it ( and me ) are ready? I use firefox on linux mint mate if that matters.

Can you perm the skills from challenge paths where you play as a totally different class, aka Jazz Agent or Vampyre? If you do, can you actually use those skills later when you're doing a run as a typical class? (I'm guessing Standard rules apply but let's say you're doing a Normal unrestricted ascension.)

I recently remembered this game exists and felt a strong urge to check out what's happened over the years. As part of this, I wanted to join the Ascension Speed Society Discord since I remember all the high-level discussion of ascension speedrunning being very interesting to someone without any IOTMs. However, none of the invites seem to work for (I've tried the one on this subreddit's sidebar and the one in https://www.loathers.net/community/). I just get an "Unable to accept invite" error each time.

I don't remember if I was ever part of the ASS Discord before. I have a feeling I might've been banned, since my Discord account was once compromised and used to spam links for about 12 hours a couple years ago. If that's the case, I would appreciate if the ban could be lifted; otherwise, I'd appreciate any help figuring out the issue. My Discord tag is toastpancake.

Started a new run recently and there's a Temporal Rift in The Nearby Plains. I haven't seen one of these in a LONG time. Or are they often there and I just wasn't paying attention in previous runs?

Hey all, love this game. I've recently felt the spark to make my own items inspired by the item descriptions and item use text boxes found in-game. Problem is, I have no idea how to do that. Anybody know how I can make my own little goofy item description fan pieces?

Note: I am NOT trying to mod the game, or add anything to it whatsoever. I just want to make dinky little items and descriptions in the style of the game.

this feels kinda like a goofball question that may have already been answered(i couldn’t find anything,) but on the wiki a lot of enemies have a single red letter in their name, why is that?

If I were to do an Avatar of Boris Hardcore run, would I get both the regular tattoo and the Hardcore sparkling tattoo?

I'm doing the Blue vs Red path on the Red team. I've beaten everything up to the Sorceress with no unusual trouble but the Sorceress herself is proving unusually difficult. On any other run, I've never had a problem fighting the Sorceress once I've gotten to this point.

This time, it said my moxie wasn't high enough (it was around 320) and I could only do 1 point of damage a hit. I tried again after taking every potion I had on me and got my moxie up to 440. It still said my moxie wasn't high enough and I only did 1 damage a hit.

Is there some trick to this fight that I'm missing? I've never found the other special challenge paths overly difficult but I'm just about at the point now of dropping this path and moving on. I'd hate to do that at this point though.

So I'm hanging out in after core trying to get Manual of Transcendent Olfaction. Recently discovered the Game Grid and have been focusing on beating the games and getting the associated item which I completed today. Think I'll start working on the tower and clan basement stuff next.

As for scripts I feel like I've just gotten decent after core useage down. Currently I start the day and run a main script that calls out to sub scripts. First it gets me an Ode to Booze for 50 adventures if I don't have that active already. Then it buys my daily diet and consumes it. Next it goes to the clan hall and uses each item around the perimeter of the room the most it can (3x for the claw), then it collects the hippy meat from the island and gets healed by the nuns. Then it goes to the hermit and gets 3 11 leaf clovers, after it equips the door ring and hits the daily dungeon, then equips my best item drop outfit and goes to the bounty hunter.

That's when I generally start to play/interact with the game myself by taking and collecting the bounties. Then I focus on any other current objectives I have or go to the volcano and get some coins before I use up the rest of my adventures mining.

I've been playing on and off since 2007 and to fill up my time I have collected over 1k of goat cheese pizzas to put in my display case, doing the basement for the first time, explored the sea, and began collecting stuffed prizes to...also put in my display case.

An Ocean player on their first playthrough here. I thought that after beating the Witch, I pretty much understood the game... Well, that was until I started posting in the chat room and was surprised by how deep this game is (like when I found out that mouthwash can give a lot of EXP). Honestly, I see you all discussing some “scripts” for this game. Are they the kind I’m thinking of—the ones that make the game more convenient? I hope someone can answer. I logged into the game for the first time in years. I remember my familiars all having their own accessories but I must have lost those when I ascended.

When you start the war, it pays to double check which side you need to fight for otherwise you have to fight through the other side. Have fun!

So I'm playing as a red Disco Bandit during this new challenge run and i might be running into a problem. It seems I am unable to progress to the volcano from the nemesis quest as i cannot fight every kind of monster needed, and therefore cannot learn the dance moves needed. Any one know of any way around this?

Title says it all. Im conversationally curious.

(For those that are unaware, whatever you have in your codpiece carries over in ascension.)

I typically carryover 5 massive gemstones to give myself a 50% item drop bonus (10% per massive gemstone.)

I know others who carryover 5 unblemished pearls for the 5 extra adventures at rollover.

What do you carryover with you?
