Hat pattern

Hi, I'm looking for how to knit this beanie. To my non-experienced eyes it looks like it's maybe a purled semi rectangle? I'd prefer the hat to be snug, so the extra fabric from the rectangle might be issue.

Edit: Thank you all for the help! I found a pattern 🫶

Its garter stitch, sideways.

I'm assuming the "decreases" are just sewn or serged. You could just knit one long piece. If you wanted to be extra fancy, you could Kitchener stitch the seam.

Exactly. You could recreate the seams on the top with short rows maybe?

So while this hat is surely machine made by knitting in garter stitch and then cutting and seaming the fabric you can recreate the look by hand. On ravelry search for hat knit flat garter stitch for options but Wooly Wormhead is a wonderful designer who has many many hats with this construction
