After months of hard work, the ReBBBorn team is proud to present... KRF ReBBBorn! This update introduces 3 new heroes (shown in this post), 2 new towers, 2 new difficulties, and much more! Just like KR1 ReBBBorn, we've also brought back towers from across the original trilogy, including some from KRV! We've also added the ReBBBalanced option, giving previously underperforming towers and heroes some much needed improvements You can find and download the mod through Voduke's Archives Discord server. Check out Voduke's latest posts on YouTube to find the links and start playing! Hope everyone enjoys what we made and ofc, let us know what you think! :D

The last map (Veznan's Tower Impossible) is just too dang hard. I'm an old man and my reaction time isn't great, but even if I were younger - frenzy clicking 4 towers plus move barracks and heroes all at the same time is crazy. Not to mention when it happens during an intense wave. I have 100% all the Kingdom Rush games I have (KR, Alliance, Frontiers, Origins, Vengeance, and Legends). I really enjoy these games, but this last map is not fun. Go ahead, tell me I'm bad or it is a skill problem or whatever. I'm a loyal customer, and it just isn't fun. I'm sorry, but I had to vent.

What’re the best heroes in Genesis to you?

I haven’t tried the 2 dragons as I think they should be overpowering like the boneheart in frontier and phoenix in origin - just like how I avoided the dragons in the previous games.

To me, the best heroes are Malik, Illiana, Gemina and Ignus.

Malik is just too good for his instant-kill. His value in early waves is unmatched. By sending a sapper or herald flying, he saves the soldiers from several barracks. Even just removing a dark knight or a necromancer, the pressure on frontline could dramatically reduced. He’s also pretty tanky with his shield and deal decent aoe damage.

I generally don’t like ranged heroes as I cannot choose the target. But Illiana’s kit is just too good. With all aoe skills and one of the best ultimate, she melts enemy swarms and she repositions very fast, it’s not possible for her to hold 2 paths with only help from reinforcements and barracks. Airborne Bliss is just so fun to play with, I mean she could solo a wave of flying enemies by flying around them with proper micro.

Gemini is just too good on blocking. She could hold a line by herself and her illusion could delay mini-bosses without risking herself. Unlike the former 2, she saves lots of effort on micro managements. Her ultimate is just as good as Illiana’s.

Ignus melts swarms and repositions fast just like Illiana but with even higher efficiency. He’s exceptionally good against the dark knight groups in stage 17/18 with his true damage abilities. But on the other hand, he’s not very good at dealing the most dangerous enemies like the sappers and herald as he only uses his abilities when surrounded by multiple enemies while they are mostly isolated and have surprisingly good melee attacks. But still, by delaying them with reinforcements he could work on the trolls and dark knights in front pretty quickly.

I didn't set out to beat the level with Muskets, I just found that I needed both the splash damage from Shrapnel Shot to deal with swarms and the ranged damage to deal with the pesky gliders, and I couldn't get enough of both on both sides early enough by going for Teslas. Helps that Shrapnel Shot is a good boss killer too!

I also tried so many times with Rhodes and Sorcerer Mages and I couldn't make it work. I'd love to see someone accomplish that on impossible though!

Strategy Finally 3 starred Vez'Nan's Tower on Impossible Difficulty w/ free stuff only, have some tips or ask questions

After playing through the game on veteran pretty easily I decided to do a run on impossible, and tonight after a couple hours testing I finally 3 starred Veznan's tower on impossible with only free content, finishing my 3 star impossible playthrough. Figured I'd post my setup since this is probably the most difficult stage in all of the franchise and answer some questions about the stage or the game in general. Might make a tierlist or even more detailed post if I feel like it later.

Heroes: Connor w/revive passive, Zefira w/resist shred passive

Spells: reinforcements full top tree, edict full bottom tree, musketeers full top tree

Towers: see screenshots 2 and 3

My main tips:

Max gold prospector on wave 1 right side was a massive difference maker in my run. I felt kind of gold starved in terms of upgrading abilities on previous runs in midgame, but after the first 7-8 waves the gold really felt like it was adding up, and around wave 9 to wave 11 I already unlocked most relevant tower skills(notably scholar mage buff) when in previous runs I couldn't. Required quite a bit of micro with zefira in early stages but i think very worth it.

Dwarven culverin was the second main difference maker in my 3 star run. in the vast majority of other stages I stuck to catapult for its ridiculous range making several overlap every chokepoint. On this level, though, the aoe stun ultimate, higher dps ability, and very importantly the 100% magic resist shred bomb for 150 gold was extremely useful against the demons which all have medium+ magic resist. This allows magic towers to actually dps the thicker impossible difficulty demons.

Stage mechanics tips:

Heroes are invulnerable to damage targeting while moving, this is very useful to abuse in general. When Moloch(big orange fella) does his hand slam or chucks magma elemental balls, your heroes will be safe as long as they are moving while the damage goes through or out of the aoe. Veznan's purple magic projectiles however will damage and kill your heroes if you don't move them far enough from the impact spot (or long enough duration?), this is important because his usage of that spell in one of the earlier waves (4-7? i forgot) can assassinate one of your heroes and screw your defense over. However, in my playthrough Connor just stood back up because of his revive passive; he may be the best hero for this last level because of that and his invincibility.

Moloch's hand slam attack is extremely annoying but can be played around with some knowledge. First, the AOE of his hand slam damage is actually about the entire right side of the stage, much larger than his visual hand. If you're teleporting zefira or another hero out of aoe(which was easier for me to think about) and not just using the invulnerability while moving, you must teleport them to somewhere on the left half of the screen to avoid damage entirely. Denas is usually fat enough to just tank it and heal up. As for your barracks that probably die, you can instantly revive golems and soldiers with royal edict to essentially reset and defend all the crap that spawns after his attacks.

Other thoughts:

The main difficulty (at least that I've found) with this last stage is the contrast between high armor dark knights and slayer enemies and themagic resistant mages and demon enemies. In addition, everything is much tankier due to impossible difficulty, so the artillery upgrade tree that gives them 75% armor bypass and higher base range and damage is more valuable than the miniscule stun and attack speed. Dead enemies do not need to be stunned or blocked.

Scholar mage and archer buffs are absolutely crucial in this impossible mode stage to allow the lower range dwarven culverin tower to cover much more area than usual, using the sulfur bomb to let mages help with magic resist enemies instead of getting stuck on them, and increasing the time all towers shoot at enemies by letting them target earlier and for longer.

Sunray mages are basically barracks with the best dps basic attack in the game and aoe true damage stun. they are much more valuable than barracks overall. In all previous stages i either did not use barracks or only had level 1 versions, replacing them with this tower. In this stage though, other towers are needed a lot to deal with the demons.

If you made it down here thanks for reading. Lmk if you want to discuss thought process or have questions. I'll play this stage again and do all the other content too

Kingdom Rush Vengence Why doesn't vengeance have a restore purchases option?

Every other kingdom rush game has a restore purchase button in the menus to get your paid content back on a new device, but for some reason vengeance completely lacks this option, just having a support option that takes you to emailing support. I've just downloaded vengeance again on a new phone and none of my purchases have carried over, emailed support with screenshots of the purchases and still not heard back in a day. Not very impressed.

Question Advice for an Artpiece for the Contest

I had an idea for a piece for the contest, called “Memory of an Old Friend” which portrays Gerald laying the broken sword of Elynie at the foot of a monument resembling good Denas, with Evil Denas’s castle in the foreground or something.

I thought the games ending was really dark, as all the struggles the people went through were rendered meaningless, and the Dark Lord won anyways in a different form. I want to make a piece that embodies that but am not sure how to do it.

Question Setting to disable unit drag moving?

Is there a way to disable dragging barracks units to reposition them? I'm fucking tired of moving them in a tiny level like frostbite nest and not blocking an enemy just to die for the 5th time

Discussion I feel like KR should switch from TD to RTS or MOBA

I played through the first 5 games and im going to be so fr, it feels like I'm playing an RTS sometimes, juggling troops and heroes while the enemies swarm me. This doesnt feel like conventional TD gameplay, then again, it is the appeal of these games.
