Where to Eat? 🍽️ Seeking Soup Suggestions
Like the title says, I am looking for your favorite Kansas City restaurants that serve soup — of any variety — for my wife who wants soup.

My favorite soup is Ragazza’s Italian sausage and artichoke. Best soup in town in my opinion

I used to go HARD for the crab bisque at Bristol. Maybe not as hearty as some other suggestions but damn that stuff was delicious 🦀

Red Door’s tomato soup was surprisingly good last time I had it. I’d say my 2nd favorite tomato soup I’ve had (#1 was unfortunately from an out-of-state restaurant that’s no longer open)

Love the wonton noodle soup at blue koi! Huuuge could serve two people/leftovers for one.
The roasted red pepper/tomato at Mike Kelly’s Westsider is good too with/out grilled cheese.
The lentil soup is the best I’ve ever had at Aladdin cafe.

Pho Lan, Phikul, Vietnam Cafe, and Baramee, all have good soups. San Antonio has menudo on the weekends.

If you’re willing to make a trip to Lawrence, Sandwich Bowl is amazing 😍 They update their soup of the day on Facebook

Lula's on Main had a DELICIOUS Vidalia Onion Bisque. But I haven't been there in a while. Be sure to get the Fried Crackers

Gert's Grille in Overland Park off of College Blvd. Soups are served in reasonably sized bread bowls, the bread bowls were always fluffy but contained the soup well - no spillage or stale bread, and the soups themselves were great! My favorite was the potato bacon soup, but they'd also let you mix soups too.

Not sure what part of town you’re in, but western JoCo has KJs pizzeria and he makes homemade soups. He always has tomato basil and then a soup of the day as well. He serves it with his homemade ciabatta bread.
Edit: corrected a misspelling

Dude I had some absolutely divine soup at Vivalore. creamed asparagus soup and beer cheese potato soup. We had to split them for my wife’s birthday because we liked both so much.

Le Fou Frog's Cauliflower Soup. - Not a big fan of their French onion though.

The lentil soup from Aladdin's on 39th.
They will actually sell it to you in a gallon if you ask.

Vegan Delight at Blue Koi is a winter fave. I get mine without noodles.
The lobster bisque at che elle is really good too.
Whole Harvest Lentil soup is like a bean and bacon
Treehugger has good vegan chili.

The belfry. Think “James beard award winning chef” that favorites dish to make is soup. Celina Tio never misses. Just trust me (and the iron chef herself)

The chicken soup at Tasty Thai is the best soup in the city when you are sick and I will not debate this subject.
