I have an 18 year old daughter. God bless her but she gets annoying as hell.

She just got a job in retail at a women's store. The whole ride home she's giving a David Attenborough level description of ALL the drama. It's insane.

My parents did too when I worked way back when. I still appreciated them 30 years later.

As a former retail manager who managed 16-17 year olds. I loved them to death and was always available to hear all of the hilarious high school drama, but oh my god I can see you wearing earbuds on the floor and I saw you hiding in the fixtures on your phone please just put it in the break room and check it periodically.

It was fun teaching them how to be responsible and good workers, but I felt like a mother of 4 teenage girls when I was only a 22yo girl myself.

That sounds interesting. The difference is I want to hear my kids tell me about their world. I dont want to live in their world.

Yeah lol hard pass on their world, but its more alike than you would think... the teenage issues are largely the same its only the setting thats changed

I don't think that's what they meant by "working"

Or maybe I don't understand the extent of the Hospital's Apprentice Program

I think he meant it like 'I couldnt even work with a 17yo imagine a relationship'

Same. We do health care pathway outreach with local high schools, and sometimes they do internships. My current student is 16. When the pharmacist gives them a hard time, I have to pull them aside and go "hey uh, five years ago this person was 11. They don't understand adult conversations yet."

How many TikTok’s do they record during their shift?

Hysterical

So you’re also thinking it’s quite a bit as well? Over or under 10 per shift?

Bathroom = 1 per hour Hallway = 1 per shift Patients room = 1 per minute
