Interesting how there’s a pattern of this and a common trait amongst all the guys who do this

25

u/Routman 14h ago

Taylor Swift dated 3 minors that we know of when she was an adult in states where age of consent was 18 - Harry Styles (17) / Taylor Swift (23), Conor Kennedy (17) / Taylor Swift (22), Taylor Lautner (17) / Taylor Swift (20)

Taylor Swift also bought a house next to Conor Kennedy’s family house, very creepy

11

u/mquari 13h ago

And especially because she is a (rich) woman, this isnt seen as grooming behavior. She even had to check Harry out of school. And she was OBSESSED with the Kennedy's, I think she (and her parents) wanted her to become a Kennedy. Buying a home to be near them was so creepy.

3

u/mynameisstacey 12h ago

One Direction had just finished a sold-out tour and had the third best selling album in the world in 2012, when Harry Styles dated Taylor Swift. She definitely did not check him out of school.

3

u/shidderbean 9h ago

I mean the fact that it's only a 5-6 year age gap (and not a fucking 22 year age gap) leads us to perceive this quite differently too

1

u/Twix_McFlurry 12h ago

She’s a plant dude of course they want her to marry into influential families.

•

u/Jerakal1 51m ago

This makes so much sense. She's always been Republican coded to me.

9

u/Rare_Direction_1449 13h ago

I didnt know this until my wife (who is a t swift fan) told me. Especially the part of her buying a house next to that 17 year old. Weird shit but all swept under the rug

1

u/clashkingdom 13h ago

Wait. She’s a fan and knew this…

1

u/SeanRoss 12h ago

I've come to find out it doesn't seem to be a dealbreaker for a lot of people

1

u/Rare_Direction_1449 12h ago

You can still enjoy the music and not like the person… R Kelly, Elvis, Aerosmith… the list goes on and on and on

3

u/clashkingdom 12h ago

Oh, she’s a fan of t swifts music, not of t swift. Sorry that was unclear from the comment “who is a t swift fan”. That’s good, I don’t think you have to divorce her now, but keep a close eye on it.

1

u/Rare_Direction_1449 9h ago

Hahaha thanks

7

u/maxp0wers 12h ago

Not the same as 38 and 17.

2

u/KrysBa10 14h ago

That's gross too. There is enough to go around.

•

u/poisonpony672 7h ago

It's only creepy when men do it

3

u/Typical-Ad8088 14h ago

As I said, switching the narrative to women creates a very defensive environment. Both men and women do this and it’s disgusting.

1

u/No-White-Drugs 12h ago

I mean... This is pretty intentionally misleading and flippant, "they all do it" as if there's not a massive, massive tendency for men to be the creepiest of creeps and we know that.

Ok both men and women commit rape, but we all know who does 99% of it. Statistics for criminal rape convictions exist. And I'd guess that 99% of relationships involving an older rich person preying upon a young person in high school involves a man as the older creep. I see someone using Taylor Swift examples from when she was 3-5 yrs older but the dudes she was after were famous themselves so it makes the power dynamics (and the potential predator vibes) a lot different... I bet it would be difficult to scrounge up an example of a rich and/or famous woman in her late 30s who started dating a regular Joe high school student for his looks. But it's ridiculously common for older famous/rich men to prey on young women for their looks. They just keep it on the DL on snap chat nowadays.

2

u/Typical-Ad8088 12h ago

The Misandry throughout your whole comment is so sad and disgusting, this is the exact reason why young men usually never feel comfortable talking about being touched by women because people like you downplay their role in it.

Seek help and heal your mind from your one sided views.

1

u/No-White-Drugs 12h ago edited 12h ago

Oh you're far gone. And I have no idea wtf subreddit I stumbled onto, but pal I'm a highly educated lawyer. I've studied all the "views" of systemic issues that plague societies. There's a conversation that's been happening since Me Too, and unfortunately we still end up with the Cornell gang rape. And if you think that was just college kids, or US dorm life shenanigans, or whatever, look up Gisele Pelicot. More than 50+ so called normal men, many with families and reputable jobs etc, knew a woman was being repeatedly drugged and raped for a decade and said nothing. That's not a few bad apples. That's rape culture paving the way for normal men to believe it's ok to treat women's bodies as possessions. I love my husband and many other male figures in my life, but even my husband is smart enough to acknowledge that it's not all men but it's (almost) always a man. Men take advantage of young women, and folks in this weird subreddit are somehow like "but women do it too!" and point to the 1 in an absolute million times it's a woman as some kind of GOT EM type deflection to get the heat off.

I can see it triggers the fuck out of you but we need to have these conversations. Go ahead and troll me into oblivion, I know where I stand and I won't feel the need to continue arguing with what's probably a bot account with a hidden history. Edit to add oh, not hidden. So I guess not a bot.

2

u/Typical-Ad8088 12h ago edited 12h ago

Doesn’t trigger me and unfortunately I can see you avoided what I said so let’s get this out the way.

  1. Stating your credentials as a “high

ly

  1. educated lawyer” does not diminish that you can be a misandrist. One will argue you honestly had no reason to mention that but hey.
  2. You brought up the Cornell gang rape that again has nothing to do with the fact that you tried to DIMINISH THE ROLE WOMEN PLAY IN SEXUAL ASSAULT.
  3. You are literally proving my exact point about you in my previous comment. You are only mentioning the extreme cases to back your point. I don’t know what country you reside in but in this year alone I can count 20 teachers who have sexual assaulted students as young as 9 YEARS OLD. Women also have their fair share of assaults which is not a wrong thing to say.

Just because YOU hate men and are fixated on eliminating women from the sexual assault conversation, don’t push that on everyone else. I defended women in other comments stating I will not single them out as this was about MEN.

2

u/No-White-Drugs 12h ago

Sigh.

  1. You told me I had "one-sided views" and I needed help. Pointing out the fact that I have a lot of education felt relevant, in the face of an attack on my ability to understand something complicated.

  2. Yeah I think I will continue to believe that sexual assault is an extremely gendered problem. Sure, lots of disgusting women teachers assault their male students. But dude 99 percent of the people with a criminal conviction for rape are male. Period. It's not exclusively men as the perpetrators but sexual assault is very much a gendered problem. It's societal. I pulled out a few real life examples of groups of "normal" men acting like monsters to highlight that it's a societal problem. You brought forth the "but women rape their students a lot" anecdotal evidence, so what's the problem?

Also, I thought we were talking about 39 years olds starting relationships with 17 years olds...? Not "the role women play in sexual assault" ...but I'd love to hear what role we play. Historically speaking it was wearing short skirts (/s), but perhaps that has changed.

  1. I'm in Canada. Hit me with the cold hard data about how both genders are committing sexual assaults at the same rate. You can use any country you'd like! If the ratio of men/women sexual assault perpetrators is not at least 80/20 I'll fuck right off.

I love individual men. I'm married to one.

•

u/ALightningStar 5h ago

Criticizing other people for hiding their history when you hide your own is rich. Ironic considering the argument too.

•

u/No-White-Drugs 4h ago

Oh mine is hidden? I genuinely didn't think it was lol. My bad.

2

u/Major_Shlongage 12h ago

Stop it. You must do better than this.

You're trying to brush what they clearly said under the rug so that you can continue pushing your man-hate.

Grow up.

2

u/Typical-Ad8088 12h ago

I’m happy someone else seen this BS

1

u/No-White-Drugs 12h ago

Your burner account lol

1

u/Typical-Ad8088 12h ago

You’re (unfortunately) miserable. Who has to create a burner to comment under a Reddit post?

🙏I genuinely pray for the men who you claim you love. I pray they NEVER get taken advantage of by a woman because Ik what you’ll do.

1

u/No-White-Drugs 12h ago

I'm not even a little bit miserable, my friend. You're the one absolutely crashing out on this Reddit thread. I'm just pointing out that your statement is a bit reckless and sexual assault is objectively and statistically a gendered issue. Facts!

•

u/theJirb 8h ago

Other people are seeing it, but in my experience, we also know people like you are too dumb to argue with.

•

u/No-White-Drugs 5h ago

Dude I stated that sexual assault is objectively and statistically a gendered issue, which is a fact, and your boy replied with a gif of somebody giving a thumbs up. Who's "too dumb to argue with"?

2

u/AgedCheddar007 13h ago

Dang she's a pedo!

6

u/ZippleJuice 12h ago

Pedophiles are attracted to pre pubescent children.

1

u/AgedCheddar007 12h ago

Glad you agree she's a pedo!

1

u/No_Oil8247 12h ago

17 is pre pubescent?

2

u/southfloridafiction 11h ago

according to reddit everyone has puberty at 18 and if you are dating 30s and 40s then its at 25-30 . Lol the strange things that happen on the internet

1

u/zcasper85 12h ago

There's a joke on why no one ever tries to explain the differences in the different terminologies. You may want to look it up.

0

u/Ranchette_Geezer 12h ago

Technically, yes. The medical board that comes up with names has three terms, one each for people attracted to those who are 1) pre pubescent 2) pubescent 3) Just out of puberty. In practice, the word now means "attracted to those under the age of consent", to most people.

To take another example, "inflammable" technically means "Not capable of bursting into flame", but so many people think it means "capable of bursting into flame" that careful warning sign writers use "flame-proof" instead.

2

u/matterhorn1 10h ago

Yeah I feel terrible for those 17 year olds having to bang Taylor swift. I hope they have gotten therapy

•

u/canman7373 3h ago

I mean she writes hate songs about them after they break up and millions of people know that. I can see that being traumatic and needing therapy.

1

u/mynameisstacey 12h ago

This isn’t quite accurate.
Taylor Swift’s DOB is 12/13/1989

Harry Styles (2/1/1994) was 18 in when they dated for 2-3 months in late 2012. She was 22.

Taylor Lautner (2/11/1992) was 17 when they dated from August - December 2009. She was 19.

Conor Kennedy (7/24/1994) was 17 when they met in July 2012, and turned 18 shortly after. She was 22. Even if the relationship began before he turned 18, age of consent is 16 in Massachusetts. So this would’ve been fine, legally speaking. Morally, maybe not so much.

1

u/ConferenceThink4801 10h ago edited 9h ago
  • Entertainers are usually products of child abuse; a lot of child abuse is of a certain type

  • Major trauma arrests development, meaning the entertainer gets stuck in a pre-teen/teen state. Great for being highly creative as an adult, not so good in other ways.

  • This is why they are more likely to a) become abusers themselves & b) deal with people who were also abused &/or are around the same age when the entertainer experienced trauma/abuse (& they repeat aspects of the abuse together)

1

u/dannyrr 10h ago

isn't that actually illegal?

IIRC The seinfeld thing was fine because the age of consent where he lived was <=17

1

u/jataz11 9h ago

Oh fuck off with this 😂

1

u/DrSpaceman575 8h ago

17 and 20 is very different than 17 and 38 lol. Nobody would say freshman dating each other are both pedos

•

u/MomoChills 2h ago

She's far from being a highschool student though? Especially using her influence and then dating a highschool student is creepy af. Both things can be right.

1

u/Major_Shlongage 14h ago

That doesn't fit the narrative that people are trying to spread here.

4

u/Aromatic-Armadillo98 13h ago

As a woman it does. When I was 23, 19 year olds were kids, never mind 17 year olds. Eeewww.

1

u/knight_of_grey 12h ago

May I ask why you saw them as kids? Did you feel like you were mentally on a whole different level or did you go strictly by age?

1

u/Aromatic-Armadillo98 12h ago edited 10h ago

Their ages have teen in them and just simply for being under 20. By 21 I had graduated. So by 23 I was a young adult and didn't have teens in my social bubble. And I think of myself at 19, and just no. Four years difference might sound small, but that's as you get older. Ie 24>28, 19>21.

•

u/SpoonyDinosaur 7h ago

I mean I get that you're saying, but I don't think there's anything inherently wrong with a 19 year old dating a 23 year old and saying a 21 year old is leagues more emotionally developed versus a 19 year old is sort of insane to me. Especially guys. Most men are going to be just as retarded at 18 as 22

2

u/stevehuffmanisapeedo 12h ago

Narrative? Lol.

0

u/Major_Shlongage 12h ago

Yes.

This is a continuation of a thread yesterday where people were bashing Seinfeld for mocking a protester at one of his comedy shows. This angered the leftist/progressive crowd, so now they're trying to bash Seinfeld. They are that petty.

2

u/stevehuffmanisapeedo 12h ago

Why do you feel Jerry Seinfeld is not allowed to be ridiculed?

1

u/Major_Shlongage 11h ago

I think that a lot of childish, poiltically motivated people on reddit just hate him because he's an outspoken Jewish dude that supports Israel, and the latest fashion is to support Palestinians.

1

u/stevehuffmanisapeedo 11h ago

If Jeffrey Epstein were still alive, would we be allowed to ridicule him for his past actions with underage women, or does he also get a free pass because he's Jewish?

1

u/Major_Shlongage 11h ago

He actually sex-trafficked and abused women, though. There's a difference between dating someone and exploiting someone.

1

u/stevehuffmanisapeedo 11h ago

So it's okay to admonish a sex trafficker for sex trafficking but it's not okay to admonish a groomer for grooming. Makes total sense. Thank you, social outrage police officer.

1

u/No_Oil8247 12h ago

I’ve thought he was a shit for years for dating a girl that young when he was that old. Has nothing to do with politics.

0

u/well-informedcitizen 10h ago

23? Are you being serious

•

u/hydro00 1h ago

Weird thing to bring up. There wasn’t even close to the maturity gap that is the topic of this post

•

u/Wise-Secretary5459 4h ago

Strawman. There's a world of difference between a girl in her 20s dating a 17yo boy and a 40 year old man dating a 17yo girl.

•

u/MomoChills 2h ago

Wrong is.... Wrong?

•

u/Wise-Secretary5459 12m ago

And some wrongs are worse than others, yes.

•

u/Routman 1h ago

Age of consent is New York is 17, Taylor legit dated 3 peoppe we know of under the age of consent in California

•

u/Wise-Secretary5459 13m ago

Age of consent doesn't make it morally right for a 40 year old to date a high schooler.

-2

u/hotniX_ 14h ago

Uhh yeah this is a nothing burger and really doesn't fit the narrative

2

u/TimshelExMachina 14h ago

Oh, what is that common trait?

4

u/Typical-Ad8088 14h ago

For one, they are powerful to the point that no one will question nor call out their behavior. They have people’s careers in their hands, so people are reluctant to push back.

0

u/TheWooshiii 14h ago

We both know he meant “jewish”

1

u/TimshelExMachina 14h ago

I just think it’s important to encourage bigots to make their claims explicit, so they aren’t hiding behind a mask of vague suggestion.

1

u/Typical-Ad8088 13h ago

Which part of statement portrays that i’m a bigot?

2

u/samehouseing 13h ago

When you vague post, people are left to assume the worst. Maybe you didn’t mean Jews, but it sounds like you did.

Maybe you just meant rich men, which you need to clarify.

1

u/Typical-Ad8088 13h ago

Which is understandable to an extent but to assume I meant Jewish is projection then to label someone a bigot without proof of any prejudicial comments is very weird…

1

u/samehouseing 12h ago

Sure, but there’s just a lot of Nazis doing that sadly, so thusly why people are assuming that.

Same reason being white means saying the N word is usually assumed to be done in a derogatory racist way even when it wasn’t meant that way.

Wealth

1

u/Typical-Ad8088 13h ago

Already did….see my reply to “TimshelExMachina”….

0

u/Chance_Vegetable_780 13h ago

You know that's not true. Jewish and Genocidal murderous zionist are two very different things. Seinfeld is a sick genocidal zionist

1

u/starbuck1965 14h ago

Now a 30's year old man marrying a 6 year old and then raping her at 9 years old, now that is sick and should be criminal.....do you agree?

3

u/SnooCats8089 14h ago

Both are gross

3

u/nixphx 13h ago

You: sees paedophile atrocity supporter who is alive and making money off his shtick and remains untouched for his crimes due to his fame and wealth Boy I hate Islam

2

u/i_drive_a_stratus 13h ago

They're just doing the exact same thing the person they replied to is doing. The only difference is that the parent comment is doing it about Jewish people, oh sorry zionists and how they notice patterns that zionists are all pedos. Whereas they're bringing up the exact same gross generalization about Muslims being pedos and now it's a problem for you? Might wanna check your privilege

•

u/Colest 6h ago

Kind of nutty that you read someone criticizing rich, white celebrities engaging in pedophila and see antisemitism.

•

u/i_drive_a_stratus 6h ago

There's literally people right below your comment talking about how zionists are pedos

•

u/i_drive_a_stratus 5h ago

Also, what an unhinged comment to post after you tried to reply with that meme about Jews but it got removed by Reddit admins

Imagine writing a comment to attack a minority and then turn around and be like "wow, can't believe the minority group I just attacked would call out hate towards them"

Zero self awareness whatsoever lmao

•

u/Colest 2h ago

The meme wasn't about jews but you knew that when you instantly reported it. Glad the admins can respond so promptly to single day old accounts that devote their first posts to defending Israel.

•

u/i_drive_a_stratus 2h ago

It was and you're just mad that I have the Mossad hook-up. Also I like how you try to gaslight (poorly done btw) about calling out antisemitism and then you don't even respond to my comment about how there's comments in this thread filled with it. Yeah how crazy is it to see bigots on reddit stereotyping minorites!???! That's insaaaaaane and I'm just hallucinating right

Do you feel this comfortable telling black people that they're crazy when they say they experience racism?

Who am I kidding, there's zero chance you even speak to black people to begin with

2

u/attsnor112 13h ago

I mean he's a fake hater anyways Mohammed was 50 when he married a 6 year old so why bring up some 30 year old when their prophet did something worse, rookie stuff

Still agree that focusing on Jerry might be smarter since he's in a society that views that as wrong (which a lot of Muslims feel about child brides as well)

•

u/Gary-8 4h ago

I mean, critisising people worshiping someone who raped a nine year old girl, you'd think that wouldn't be controversial. Anyone who thinks that's ok or that it shouldn't be critisised is very suspicious. And that's actually a part of that religion. I'm not sure what a 38 year old creepy guy being with a 17 year old has to do with Zionism.

0

u/PeculiarSpiralGalaxy 13h ago

 remains untouched for his crimes

Like it or not the age of consent for New York in 1993 and still today is 17. He committed no crimes under New York law. Don't like it? Write New York legislators and say so. Unwilling to do that simple action? Then don't complain to others about it.

4

u/FlatPineappleSociety 13h ago

Listen, Mohammed was taking children as wives

One he married at six and consummated at nine

He was somewhere in his 50's trying to get in them drawers

She wasn't even ten yet, still playing with dolls

So they try to hit me with that, "Oh, the times were different"

Rationalizing atrocities, now you sound like Christians

I charge the views on women as sickening

Either update the culture or just fade into history

3

u/OkOven4590 13h ago

Mohammed ain't shit either lol

3

u/Sir_Nomad420 13h ago

The most perfect man to be emulated and every righteous man to follow his conduct... is to diddle a * year old? Not even 10?

•

u/ellen_pao_bhole 2h ago

How have i never heard this before, it came out 16 years ago?

1

u/Typical-Ad8088 13h ago

I think the issue with this Mohammed thing is why do we act like it was only Muslims doing this?

What about the popes with young boys as “apprentices” that they abused that goes back YEARS to modern date?

In EVERY religion there is pedophilia that can be discovered- only singling out Muslims is disingenuous and fucking weird.

SPREAD LOVE NOT HATE

2

u/Decent-Deal-3105 12h ago

Some people might think that the "leader" or "chosen one" of a religion should be the perfect example of what to do. So, said leader bedding under underage children, it sends the sign that that is a fine course for every follower. Now with priests and the like taking massive advantage of their flock as it were, is truly horrific and disgusting, but there are those who try to use the "only a few bad apples" excuse, not realizing that the rest of the quote is "spoils the whole bunch".

And they were not the "all mighty Lord and savior". Either way, no one needs religion. It is all just a scammy shammy sham and truly serves no purpose but to take money from the poor flock and give it to the rich shepperds. Just look at megachurches, with private jets, limos, and their own private altar boys.

We don't need religion to be kind to everyone. Quite the opposite. Without that huge bias the world could come together and elevate as a whole.

I mean, it works in Star Trek.

0

u/Typical-Ad8088 12h ago

I agree with the latter half of your statement but that first paragraph is contradicting.

Brother, the Pope is the leader of millions of Catholics and more than 5 Popes have had issues when it comes to sexual assault on young men. We must not deflate one or the other.

These racists use one sided arguments to preach HATE. But everything else you said was golden

0

u/southfloridafiction 11h ago

I agree with you, I think the hypocrisy is that the left tends to point out the fact that only when it is white man with young woman, not any of the other situations, like gay, or muslim pedos.

1

u/UK_Bleed_Blue 10h ago

It’s always whataboutisms with you folks. Even though what you said is true, it doesn’t address the original sentiment. You guys need to come up with something better than “oh yeah? Well they did it too *insert crying MJ meme”

•

u/Effective_Narwhal_20 3h ago

Yes. What kind of a question is that?? The world is just addicted to squabbling on the internet.

ALL religion is problematic.

2

u/Frostyfraust 14h ago

Your Islamaphobia is not subtle.

3

u/chef_wizard 14h ago

They’re not wrong though, just irrelevant to the post

1

u/Frostyfraust 14h ago

What? That there were problematic age gap issue in the year 600 CE? Yeah I guess. Kinda weird to bring it up when talking about someone alive now. Well not weird if you know they're just being islamaphobic.

5

u/Double_Dot_ 13h ago

This is first I've ever heard someone downplaying 9yo grape as "age gap issue" 🤣🤣🤣🤣

3

u/SymphonicRain 13h ago

The person you’re replying to said that bringing up the child rape that occurred is a non sequitur, but you’re misrepresenting it by calling it an age gap issue.

3

u/Brobeast 13h ago

I didnt know rape could also be just a "age gap issue" lmao

3

u/northstar_gremlin 13h ago

Keep defending pedophilia. If anything, “prophets of God” should be held to a higher standard.

1

u/chef_wizard 13h ago

Lost in the sauce.

If your prophet is someone who had sex with literal children then it’s a pretty massive flaw.

You can’t even point to me in a Bible or Torah where any of those figures practiced such a thing

0

u/Background_Law3010 13h ago

Kinda weird to suddenly bring this up again. He started dating her like 30 years ago why is it suddenly relevant in 2026?

Well not weird if you know they're just being antisemitic.

3

u/FutureboyMcfly69 13h ago edited 13h ago

How is it Islamaphobia for stating their belief? Liberals are so offended by Sydney Sweeney but are ok with the whole 72 virgins and female genital mutilation thing.

1

u/Schadenfreude-ing 12h ago

I dont think that's true man. Tgough im an independent and think both conservatives and liberals need to get their shit together, more so maga conservatives then all else. I think we are holding american responsible based on our culture here. Regardless of if your Muslim or Jewish or Christian or Hindu, in our current societocultural belief this is not okay in our country.

1

u/UK_Bleed_Blue 10h ago

“Liberals”. For the love of everything that is sane and logical recognize the enemy. It isn’t your neighbor you’ve been told to hate because they recognize pronouns or some sh**. What is happening in this world is class warfare masquerading as ideological warfare. The politician that told you to “own the libs” doesn’t give a flying fuck about ideologies, none of them do. They point and laugh at you while you obediently follow.

•

u/Gary-8 4h ago

It's not islamaphobic to be against pedophilia or to criticise the worship of a pedophile 🙄.

1

u/Burt_Macklin___ 12h ago

Not all pedophiles are zionists, but...

1

u/Typical-Ad8088 12h ago

I DO NOT SUPPORT RACISM. PEDOPHILES COME IN ALL RACES, RELIGIONS, AND GENDERS.

0

u/Burt_Macklin___ 12h ago

Did i miss something... what are you shouting for lol?

2

u/Typical-Ad8088 12h ago

Stop spreading hate, especially if you’re not brave enough to do it in public.

It’s corny and cringey asl.

2

u/peetadd 11h ago

Zionism isn’t a religion it’s a political ideology?

1

u/Burt_Macklin___ 11h ago

What? Zionism isn't a race, or religion, or a gender lol. It's a Far Right political ideology. Joking about conservatives been pedophiles is fine mate, chill out

1

u/SaweetestCuyootie 10h ago

Imagine being a muslim and uttering that

Women do this, I want to say even more. Look at the news, every week a high-school female teacher is being arrested for having sex with minors

It happens. But far less often than men, here in Canada.

tell me you've never heard of "confirmation bias" without explicitly saying "i've never heard of confirmation bias".

I’m not a fan of the gender war stuff so I’m not going to switch the conversation to women, but I will say this is something that both genders do participate in which is not okay.

Cher, Madonna come to mind.

Not even close. Women are just teachers way more often so in that profession they probably do it more but in general, men do it a lot more.

This is maybe the dumbest comment I’ve read, you really think this is more common with women??

Those teachers weren't at my school that's for sure 😔

It’s because we think of women inherently as children. We don’t take their predatory behavior seriously, so we ignore it as a society.

Who thinks of women as children?? That's worrying

You don’t think our society treats women like children?

When they cause harm, we act like they couldn’t help it, or it’s not as big a deal if a man perpetrated the same crime. See the Clancy situation for a pretty vivid example of this.

Women actually do commit a lot of sexual assault and abuse, but it isn’t treated as seriously as a man who perpetrates the exact same crime. Women are given far more lenient sentences for crime, get let out sooner, etc.
