This is going to be the new pinned post here on r/jediknight since the old one was made by a moderator that deleted their account, making it unchangeable. Since it was pretty outdated, I'm going to instead link to the JKHub page that lists nearly all of the relevant links the old post did, plus new ones and an entire guide written out and a video explaining the basics on the state of the game right now.
Please comment here if I'm missing something you feel is important that should be linked and/or explained on that page.
My mouse is all wacked out. It's super sensitive in horizontal movements but hardly moving in vertical. Is there a configuration setting to mod in a file somewhere?
So last Friday was the 29th Birthday of Jedi Knight and JK member Tristamus started working on a Web-based version of JKDF2 that you can play through your browser. It does require game files to launch.
Give it a try and let us know if you run into any bugs. MotS is still being worked on somewhat we did run into some issues with it but JK is nearly complete
I took some screenshots of the vehicles from the Nar Shaddaa levels... but I couldn't really get good, crisp screenshots of them.
I've seen them in game, but they're always quite fast in motion...
The one I got the best screenshots of is the 'Pod car 1', I'm calling 'tall' pod car.
With the twin pod-car from the top right sketch... It looks yellow in-game, but it could also be blue. It's tricky to determine colors because the colors change when under different lights...
I've seen it moving backwards *and forwards in game... which is confusing. It looks like there's a gun on the back end of it... so does that mean either side can be the front of the vehicle?
Does anyone have better, high quality photos of the models corresponding to these sketches?

It's been a while, and I've searched for a long time a community where to share what I've made with this game.
I've been playing this game since its release, and modding it for 19 years !
Basically, what I'm about to share is the fifth installment of my serie (Epic Challenge Mods), but the only one that has a real "Star Wars feel" about it.
"Not long after Jerec's demise, Kyle and his apprentice Mara Jade are sent with Luke Skywalker to investigate a cosmic temple invaded by the remnants of the Empire. But they were unable to understand what they found at this time. They only knew it was a sort of holocron of the Light Side. But today, a cult of the Force called The Order of the Lost Flame is growing, and in a bold move, they have managed to steal the artifact from Luke Skywalker's hands. For the Jedi Order is not what it once was. The temple has burned, many apprentices were killed following a tragic betrayal, and few defenders of the Order and justice in the galaxy remain active. Kyle Katarn is no longer one of them. A lone wanderer, our veteran is now sixty years old. Yet, a vision from the Force puts him back on the path. The galaxy is in danger. One last stand will lead our heroes, along with a new generation, to uncover the truth behind the acquisition of the holocrons—revealed to be forgotten deities of the Force. Past, present, and future are intertwined, and a long, dark journey awaits Kyle, linked to the Clone Wars, higher realities, and many other secrets…"
Enter in a world between old adventure games and Star Wars lore, face cults and golems, and learn to use your new weapons, and force powers (Destruction, Elements).
I have put my hands in the code to improve force powers, create new content, new AI classes. Claude has helped me to settle things, but I was already doing code since the third installment long before the rise of LLMs.
A total of 14 new levels, If I remember correctly.
Note; Referencing the scene with Kyle telling Lando he could go for a Ruby Bliels.
So before anyone can call me racist- I didn't choose it for the purpose of *grouping two random black characters together. I know they are completely different characters--I thought of the T'challa meme format **first, because it fit the scene.
I am passing this along from Daggo, Wolfeye, Sazen, and others hosting this event, I recognize its very late notice to you redditors, as it is happening within the hour of my posting:
Hello everyone!
The JKA community is hosting a major event this Saturday, September 19th, between 1:00PM - 6:00PM EDT. To celebrate the 23rd anniversary of Jedi Academy, we'll be visiting the SkyTemple again (/connect 159.195.145.214). The server has been updated since the last event (info can be found here from that event).
We are going to try to break the 32 player cap once again, hoping to get even more players onto the server than last time (above 60). That means we need as many people as possible to come and aid us in this journey!
The (JAWA) Clan will be assisting with event hosting, and we'll even have some console-player presence courtesy of Bucky's crossplay work!
This time we are planning to hold a tournament for interested players during the event and maybe perform a mini-game or two if the situation permits.
We hope to make this another giant celebration for JKA as a community.
Free fan mod, OpenJK based. DLSS 5 neural reconstruction, skaybay's 4K texture pack with an alpha fix, depth-aware ambient occlusion, Palette Lock (keeps the original 2003 colours), saber grade, 60 FPS at 1440p. F8 toggles the remaster in-game so you can compare any time.
Requirements: GOG or Steam Jedi Academy, Windows 10/11, an NVIDIA RTX card for the neural pass (tested on an RTX 5060 Ti; on RTX 30 cards lower work_resolution in dlss5-feed.cfg). Everything else works on any DX11 card.
