Community
Jackson people...where's the community here? Where do people meet up and what do you all do? Not a bar, not the car show on Michigan ave, but a real community?

It's Monday Night - which means three things in The Naybourhood:
1 - Bring in your own mug (up to 20 oz) and get it filled for $1.25 off the regular price of a drink!
2 - Monday Night Football will be happening and...
3 - Monday Night Euchre Madness is going DOWN from 6:30-8:30!
Every Monday we host a casual (yet organized) euchre event that is FREE to play for all skill levels! We invite people to come alone, as a couple, or as a group and partake in 2 hours of our random rotation tournament! Take home the top spot and you will win a gift certificat to either Big Chucks Pizza or The Naybours!
Registration is from 5pm - 6:20pm
Cards officially start at 6:30pm and go until approx. 8:30pm
Max of 24 players.
This is a social experiment, much like The Naybours in general - we encourage people to come out, have a few beverages, listen to some good tunes, and just enjoy life and each other's company! We hope to see some new faces, but we're always happy to see the familiar ones, too!
6060 Clinton Road, Jackson, MI 49201 - - come out and have some fun!

seen them nearly everyday the last two weeks.
nails are grown out but clipped and they don’t look like the street cats that are normally out and about around here so they hopefully have a person to go home to.

Was in a vehicle that accidentally hit a cat that was in the middle of the road. Don't know if it was okay or not; it was not a safe time (around 10p) to get out of the vehicle. Mate said not a lot could be done, given the rural area and time of night. I still tried to search for whom to call -- not from the area -- and called 911 after not being able to get ahold of Jackson animal control/shelter. The dispatch said unfortunately not anything could be done, at the time. I just hope it was okay, or at least found if it was a pet in the area. Wanted to do more; had just swerved from a possum that was crossing around the same area, and rolled by another animal that was previously hit.

Is there anything like this here in Jackson?
Ive been here for about 2 years and I don't get out much. I'm wondering if there are any electronic / technology maker spaces around town.
Probably not but I thought I'd ask. It'd be amazing to meet some like minded people and have a place to hang out and build stuff.
Also interested in any other social clubs for nerds.. games, video games, etc..
Thanks

Random and all that but this person named Isaiah has texted and called me wanting to buy my house as an investment property.
Has anyone else gotten this call.

There have been a ton of ambulances and sirens all throughout the day, three ambulances and police vehicles at the E Michigan Ave Meijer gas station and Wendy's around 5pm. Sirens heard earlier in the day and at least twice more since 5pm, they just went silent around here a few minutes ago.

I met a guy a few weeks ago. Lots of happy energy. Very talkative. He wanted my number. I was kinda scared to give it. Now I regret it. I've thought about this guy on and off. He gave me a card for a church out on Berry rd. He doesn't have social media. Please 🙏 help. I struggle with health issues in the morning and being awake or I would go out to the church. How can I find this guy
Also I don't know how to cross post this

Been in Jackson for a while but have had a hard time finding teams and groups to hang out with. Interested in sports like softball, dodge ball, swimming, or some other group(s) to socialize with. (33m)

The Flockroaches are operating during the day. They don't seem to like the camera.

Hey guys! I’m 20 years old. A female and a student at Jackson College. I just was wondering if there are any Christians around my age, boys and girls. I’m looking to have more Christian friends especially in college. DM me if you wanna be friends!

I checked out the River & Rail Farm Stop. It was really nice to see the amount of people that showed up. I was impressed to see how many goods were from Michigan, especially from Jackson.
They have a little coffee shop too and the iced latte I got was good!
Their hours are Monday and Wednesday: 7am to 7pm, Thursday and Saturday 7am to 9pm, and Sunday 8am to 5pm.
