I saw the viral video from tesla and, although I can't put my finger on it, it looks fake af.

The car is stiff does not wobbles when it lands like you would expect. Not to mention the technically parts that it needed to have inside to make this rockets work. I don't but it.

What's your verdict?

The video with the caption is heart wrenching but the more I watched it started to look unrealistic. Then in the comments she recommends a specific brand of canine dental spray that she says would have saved his life.

Music Netherwilds: A new band that’s been receiving a lot of discourse over AI vs Not-AI

Personally I am of the opinion that it is not AI, and I’ll explain my reasons. However, some rando on Facebook was practically seething to try to “prove me wrong” (though, the evidence he gave was pretty weak). I’ll be sad to hear if they are AI though, since I’ve grown to really enjoy their weird style of music.

Why I don’t think it’s AI:
- They are doing live shows (I believe on tour?). Doesn’t 100% guarantee the music is not AI, however their music is obviously performable on some level whereas with definitely AI-generated music it’s a little unbelievable
- Their social media content and music videos are pretty weird and clunky, but in an early YouTube editing kind of way. AI music videos I’ve seen tend to try to look more “clean” (while having very obvious artifacts, because AI is actually very stupid). Netherwilds’ music videos are fairly raw imo, like a low budget film.
- The frontman, David Monks, has been making music for over two decades. He was part of Tokyo Police Club, which was a fairly popular indie band back in the early 2000s. While the style between the two bands is definitely different, some of the general cadences and instruments are similar.
- They’ve expressed that they haven’t used AI in their content. I know this is me being very trusting of their word, but they’ve also made stands for other issues so I’m more inclined to believe it. I’ve noticed a lot more smaller bands making their stances on things very known.

Now, here’s why they might be AI:
- According to the FB Keyboard Warrior, NW’s song “The Fall” has the same melody as some random AI-generated song. I listened to it and, at best, it had a similar medieval metal vibe but definitely not the same song. Besides, AI songs I’ve heard have a distinct “tinny” sound to it (if that’s the right descriptor?)
- Their cover artwork had me doing double takes, I will admit. But, did some digging into the artists behind it and they seem legit with a consistent style.
- They’ve got some questionable lyrics. Though, I think that’s the point with it being a kind of niche theme. It’s more just campy imo.

Those are my thoughts on it, though I’m way better at figuring out images than music. I could totally be wrong! Would love to hear other people’s thoughts!

Photo Ad from eBay—me and my wife are completely deadlocked in whether she’s fake. Wife says the hair is all wrong. I don’t see it, but could be convinced.

Are her fingers too long or is it a trick of the lens? Is there something strange about her hair—like, should her bangs be casting a shadow on her face? But then again, would AI catch the petal on the desk under the yellow flower?

Video I swear this looks so AI. But it's on the baby/toddler channel and doesn't say so in the description.

OK the style of this looks so totally AI, especially the episode with the dog. But if it is, I'm appalled. This is on the baby first channel. They make tons of shows. (You can see the dog at the very end)

Some things seem to kinda casually disappear, things are overly textured (like the dog), the announcer says they're painting but they're coloring with crayons, etc.

The video pauses midway bc I took my headphones out but I recorded the whole thing from YouTube.

Disclaimer: My kids don't watch this channel anymore, but did when they were little, back when it had a lot of live action cute stuff and lullaby programing overnight.

i didn’t even order stickers, this was just included in the package with my dice. the dice on the stickers don’t make sense.. repeating numbers, and the artistic choices of some of the details don’t make sense.

why take the time/money to print this crap and send them unrequested?

I have seen paintings by elephants and monkeys, and they usually look like preschooler's drawing. This looks way too perfect to be painted by an animal, and the Malinois looks way to patient

The ratio doesn't look good: the characters are too big compared to the house. Theres like 2-3 style of art mixted together: lego square (characters + house), lego rounds (tree) and the flat background. Does this prove it's ai or not?

Art My mother bought me a t-shirt from Tesco and I am worried it has AI generated art on it. I’ve tried researching and have found nothing helpful. Any experts?

my mum came back from tesco with a tshirt for me, i thought it looked cool but upon closer inspection it doesn’t look completely right. there’s no outright obvious shouts other than a little odd anatomy, my main worry is that i don’t want to walk around as an ai advertisement. tesco have used ai in their marketing before i believe so im sceptical about this. could someone help? i’ve tried to research and the only argument im getting is that it’s a ‘physical product’ therefore cannot be ai.

Video on instagram this guy and his weirdly shiny dolphin freak me out help and why is it always bouncing

Thumbnail instagram.com
1 Upvotes

for the record, i dont think the guy is ai but the dolphin is suspicious?

Why I think it is AI:

- nearly same format for nearly every single vid on the page which kinda reminds me of another ig account of a dog that side eyes zoo animals

- the way that the dolphin bounces in the majority of the videos seems almost weightless? like dolphins realistically can't bounce like that on land right?

im sorry if it turns out that this vid(s) is obviously AI. if it turns out that it's obviously real then im also sorry. i am a specific state of mind in the moment where i think dolphins just freak me out rn idk

Music This JPOP Cover channel - Is it AI? (Emina no Uta - uploads high quality "remake" covers every 3 days and seems to be 1 person not a team)

Thumbnail
youtube.com
1 Upvotes

Brief explanation: this is a JPOP/anime song cover channel that reimagines the genres of famous anime songs. e.g. changing a ballad slow song to a rock/punk song

Indicators:

  • They already use AI for some images (profile pic and some MV images)
  • Posting rate - seems to be once every 3-5 days with
    • self-made instrumentals
    • full-mixed vocals
    • simple MV with lyrics
  • Despite this high-posting rate, it doesn't seem to be a "team" where everyone is credited - this is a lot of work for 1 person to be doing every 4 days and at such high quality
  • The first few cover/remakes are a different remade genre from the rest and sound super awkward
    • most covers after this are rock/bordering metal style, but the first handful are jazzy? idk - it feels weird to have that hard pivot
    • you can hear vocal artifacts, especially in the "Gurenge" cover. And musically the vox don't match the instrumentals
      • given that the channel has only existed for 9 months, I can't imagine this person went from lacking that musical sense to suddenly putting out these really high-quality covers
  • The vocal mixing and highs sound weirdly crunchy and overprocessed in some/most songs
  • (Very subjective) Some vocal techniques feel copy-pasted from other songs - like the singer will sound eerily similar to some songs I've heard. If this is AI, it seems it's been trained on Vtubers/Utaite as well as maybe some english rock songs.

At first I wondered if the vocals are real and the instrumentals are AI, but the artifacts in the first few videos made me think maybe the whole thing is AI.

I'm assuming the creator's motives is literally "what would this song look like in XYZ genre" but they're not advanced enough to actually make it themselves.

Someone of my guild in a videogame asked me to commission them but they art style looks kinda AI or inconsistent, I'm curious if this is a scam or not. I find highly suspicious that they only have Kofi as social media.

Also I've checked for synth id in two of the pictures and couldn't find proof that was AI but something in my gut tell me this is AI.

Photo is this AI? It was posted on Instagram by a local coffee shop and I think it’s fake or at least edited, especially because of the way the chocolate sauce seems to be dripping on the outside of the cup, which would not make sense

Post image

my mom doesn’t believe me but that pic is like too perfect…the leaves?? the chocolate sauce on the outside of the cup?? it just doesn’t look real

EDIT: to add this, the ice in these cups is square and this coffee shop uses pebble shaped ice. They also have smooth bottoms and in this photo the cups have rigid bottoms.

Video Is this IG account AI? New user, tons of followers, perfect videos with extremely articulate toddler. But tech-savvy friend thinks it’s real

Thumbnail

Here is the link to the IG account: https://www.instagram.com/hanaandfamilyy?psln=cmR1cDZ1ZTA1Mmd1

I feel there are many suspicious points - an account that started posting only a week ago with nearly 30k followers and thousands of fawning comments from people from all around the world except Korea, despite the videos’ contents being entirely in the Korean language.

The kid seems exceedingly articulate and knowledgeable of certain abstract concepts, using them to express irony (“And you call that love?”). And in one video, the father makes a “no” sign with his hands while saying “yes” to the little girl, which seemed rather incongruous to me.

There was also at least one comment buried within the tons of positive comments that accused it of being AI. Additionally, IG’s Meta AI identified five of the seven videos as “likely made with AI” (though it’s arguable if AI could merely have been used to enhance the videos).

All in all, I felt almost certain it was all AI. But when I asked my paid AI platform (Poe), it identified the videos as completely genuine. A friend who works in tech/an AI-related field also felt it was all most likely real as he says AI isn’t advanced enough to have people moving around in the background.

I don’t know if I’ve grown too suspicious, being from a trade for which authenticity and veracity is of utmost importance. Would appreciate this community’s assessment. Thank you very much!

Photo Just need a sanity check after a man gaslit me about our text-based roleplaying.

Thumbnail

I engage in text-based collaborative writing, AKA roleplay. This guy’s writing style pinged as AI in my brain, but he denied it up and down and acted like I was being a real jerk for asking. I’ve included screenshots of his opening message for reference, censoring character names and his username. Some other reasons I thought it was AI:

  1. See the yellow bracketed part in the screenshots. There was a major detail about the scene that was inconsistent in just this single opening message. Mistakes like that can happen, but the detail changed instantly. After specifying six bodies are present at the scene, immediately four are described as if there have always only been four. He later commented on it out of character and said he meant there to be only four and edited the reply, without me saying anything about it.

  2. There was a point at which I mentioned my character does not bring or wear a helmet when she rides a motorcycle. She shows up with wet hair from the rain while riding, and his response included something like “He looked down at the helmet she wasn’t wearing” or “the helmet she didn’t have”. (The server’s been deleted so I can’t go back and look for the exact wording.)

  3. He would respond very quickly. At one point he churned out four long paragraphs in only four minutes. That would take me at least ten-twenty minutes to write, but maybe he’s just faster than I am.

  4. He almost never made incidental typos or grammar mistakes. I’m fastidious with both in my writing, but some still slip by at times.

  5. One time, he said he would post a response soon. An hour afterwards (I was already asleep) he just copy-pasted my last reply instead of actually responding. This made me think he had copied my response to paste into AI and generate a reply, but forgot to actually copy the reply and post it, and didn’t notice he pasted the wrong thing. When I asked him if he meant to just copy-paste my response the morning after, he said it was a mistake and must have happened when his phone was in his pocket. That didn’t seem particularly believable to me—maybe back when phones had buttons, but on a touchscreen smartphone?

Is there any possible way I could be mistaken about the AI use? Or is this guy just a big liar?

Other Children’s art studio advert. Really hope it’s not AI but has all the tell tale signs :(

My gut says this is AI but I’m really hoping it’s not since it’s a children’s art studio. It’s got the yellowish look, way too many fonts, and there’s essentially no negative space.

Please PLEASE do not spam their account if deemed AI. I’m not looking to trash them online which is why I crossed out the business name. It seems like they’re pretty new.
