Is this AI? I thought so off first watch, and a couple other comments made me want to share it here.

I have a discord server with an artworks channel and recently, a new member has began posting some of their “art.”
At first, it looked legit at first glance since it was a sketch, so I complimented the art and they said, “Omg thank you so much, it’s my first time drawing. Recently I got kicked out of art servers because they accused me of using AI, but I only used it to enhance the image.”
I replied saying art servers were strict about that and that I believe using AI to enhance art kind of defeats the authenticity of their art anyway. They asked me if AI enhancements counts as “AI art” and I just said to clarify with art servers, but that I also do not support any form of AI art in my server.
They proceeded to send another art that just looked like an AI sketch to me, so I tried to check for a SynthID watermark or whatever it’s called, and it cane back saying it couldn’t detect any. I’m still confused though.

I’ve been seeing this video making the rounds and I’m 90% it’s AI. The guy in the background leans in to kiss a lady who just comes out of nowhere, and it looks like they’re in a bar inside a photo booth?? The words in the video are grainy but I can’t make out a single real word either
I’m just surprised more people haven’t called it out, I’ve seen this video on multiple platforms now. Thoughts?

The style is kinda AI and there's no stuff like 6 fingers but there are mistakes tho it could probably be just artist not detailing it all

(Reposted bcuz I couldn't add/edit body text if there was none when first posted)
The sandwich layers are malformed and blend into each other and their surroundings and the top girls hand dissappears instead of going under her other arm

The reason given for this was the shoes are inconsistent, the hair looks AI and the coat is AI

This artist is always getting advertised to me so I decided to check out their page and it screams AI to me. Anyone else?

Hello from the adult colouring community. I recently purchased a book by Jade Summer, who if you look her up, is well supported on the non ai colouring lists. However, on her official YouTube she uses Ai music and I keep seeing things like this in the book? Like it's a cobweb, so shouldn't the cupboard should be visible behind it? She says no Ai on her Instagram and her style appears consistent.
edit: whoops aware my edit in red is an incorrect match to the other cupboard. you get the idea though

Honestly I'm kinda growing tired of people not using their eyes.
Like, I get maybe not being as quick to realize and some of em in here have
had me pretty stumped before myself. but honestly
So many of these are blatant. and it feels less like they are being posted here because they genuinely don't know. and more like we're being treated like a glorified AI checker.
Missing fingers, cat's with too human of expressions, the most uncanny body movements you could ever see. so many of them leave me just saying
"A-Are you serious?"
I beg. please before posting here. really look for yourself first.
Yes, it's probably AI.

Their faces dont change at all, and even the crown princess's hair doesnt move as she starts to move.
Gave me heavily AI vibes but not very sure

I'm pretty sure this is AI generated, but I really just want to know. (Forgive the shine, it was bright)

The hand, shoulder details, and sword hilt really strike me as AI.

I didn't think it seemed like AI but it could be a possibility. It just has some weird tunes and lyrics but I didn't catch it at first. My friend said it's AI and that made me start doubting it. What's y'alls take? I think I heard that the creator said it was AI or smtg but I can't find that clip.

Wanted to buy these but the box art makes me think it may be Ai
I'm not so sure this itself is ai generated but it feels ai traced

This venue swears they have a no AI policy and according to the venue, the band says the artist they hired doesn’t use AI. They’ve also supposedly used AI detection tools that come back clear. I’ll admit, I’m not the best at catching AI, but something about this seems off? The face isn’t symmetrical, the armor also doesn’t match from side to side.
Eagle eyed Redditors, tell me what you see.

I looked at their etsy page and i want to get something done and am willing to pay for it but I wanna be sure they don't use any Ai

Some of the outlines fade into eachother in weird ways which is the main thing that gets me, I asked the creator who said there’s no ai but not sure I can trust it

This post is to show the method I use for checking for AI content, which is more reliable and gives an answer with evidence, rather than working off vibes. It is key to note that I am not against AI content, and I have no bias. I just like to know whether the content I am viewing is AI or not, so I can make informed choices. As such, I work on an innocent until proven to be AI basis.
Step 1: SynthID check
Step 2: Google reverse image search
Step 3: manual research
Step one: SynthID check
The best website to use for detecting SynthID is https://synthid.com/ This site will check for watermarks applied by Nvidia, OpenAI, Google and Kakao in one search. If this tool detects a SynthID watermark, it is guaranteed to have been generated or altered with a website owned by one of those companies or with a local model developed by one of those companies.
SynthID is a hidden watermark that is dispersed across the entire image or video pixels, in the audio soundwaves or through statistical analysis of long form text. It is not stored in metadata, and it cannot be removed by cropping, colour changes or any form of manual alteration without rendering the content heavily distorted, unusable or being entirely different than the original AI content. SynthID will be present and detectable even if you print out the image. It is a watermark developed by Google and is applied at the point of generation. For full details on what SynthID is and how it works, you can read the official paper released by Google ( https://arxiv.org/abs/2510.09263 ), or if you want the quick blog post explanation, see ( https://blog.google/innovation-and-ai/products/google-synthid-ai-content-detector/ )
synthid.com will not be able to detect content made in any other software like ComfyUI, Ollama or other local software unless the model used was developed by one of the listed companies on the site, so it should not be considered the only step in detection.
A note on online detectors. You may have seen many online AI detectors using percentage scores. These are a scam and should never be trusted. They work off visual cues and are no more sophisticated than the "trust me bro™" method. These types of detectors often label books written decades before the mainstream awareness of AI as AI generated. If you see a percentage score, avoid it at all costs.
Step 2: Google reverse image search
If after checking for SynthID you see nothing but still suspect a piece of content is AI generated, load up Google. On the right hand side of the search bar you will see a camera icon with a dot in the lower right corner of the camera.

This is Google Lens. It lets you search the internet via images rather than text. Once you input an image or URL, it will initially bring up similar looking images. Clicking "exact matches" will bring up the closest matches to the image, or images with identical content.

You want to pay close attention to a few details: dates, where the content was posted, and who posted it. For dates, if the content was posted before 2020, it's not AI, especially if the content isn't incoherent nonsense, AI wasn't good before 2020. For location, where content is posted matters: Pinterest for example is now commonly known for having AI content, and if you can only find it on Pinterest or other platforms known for AI content with no other indicators of who posted it, it's not 100% AI, but it's safe to be wary of it. For who posted it, this is one of the biggest giveaways for confirming content isn't AI: if it's a popular artist or someone with a good track record, with no SynthID, and the content is posted across multiple platforms by the same user, then it's not AI.
Step 3: Manual research
If, after following these two steps, you still have no information to go off, then you need to look at where you got the content from. Search the username of the person who posted it, check when the original was posted, and so on. If you cannot find any details about the person who posted it online, and they do not have a history, and there is no SynthID and no other indicators that it is AI, then there is currently no reliable method of conclusively saying whether the content is AI generated. This is where I ask: does it matter? I will tend to lean towards it not being made with AI if I cannot prove it. Your biases may differ depending on your personal feelings towards AI content.
These are the steps I use to determine if something is AI. I hope it helps people. Ideally you do not want to be working off of hunches or personal bias. Do not "trust me bro™" make sure you have evidence.
