Honestly I think its unthinkable that they could work for ANY law firm. Unless themself and Issac Simeon found Burke & Burke.

50

u/HappyMike91 Dublin 14h ago

Simeon Burke was/is (?) a trainee barrister. Which means that somebody was willing to take him on despite his past behaviour and the behaviour of the Burke family more generally. I don't know if Isaac or one of the other Burkelings studied law besides Ammi and Simeon, though.

I'm surprised we don't just put the Burkes on an island in the Irish Sea and send them supplies along with the occasional human sacrifice.

u/struggling_farmer 14h ago

wasnt it you one maria stein? , the one who wanted to run for preseidentcy and just missed the deadline and then claimed it was aqnti democratic or soemthing, that took him on.

45

u/HappyMike91 Dublin 14h ago

Maria Steen's sister is a barrister, and she was the one who took Simeon Burke on as a trainee barrister. I don't know what Maria Steen does apart from being a public face of a known extremist group.

20

u/Intelligent_Base_338 14h ago

Her and the husband are both barristers technically, she does not practice though.

13

u/HappyMike91 Dublin 13h ago

She (Maria Steen) was wealthy enough to afford to be a stay at home parent. Along with her being in the Iona Institute.

17

u/imaginesomethinwitty 12h ago

And appear on TV saying she spoke for the ordinary people of Ireland holding a €20k handbag. I’m sure she’s doing fine.

7

u/HappyMike91 Dublin 11h ago

Yeah. She's got nothing to distract her from being a hateful bigot.

17

u/Jacabusmagnus 13h ago

Her husband is one of the most successful commercial SCs in the country. Absolutely enormous practice.

8

u/struggling_farmer 14h ago

Was that it, i knew she was linked to getting him an apprenticeship some how

7

u/HappyMike91 Dublin 13h ago

I think Maria Steen's sister was the only one who wanted to take him on. He'd studied to be a barrister before then.

20

u/TractorArm 14h ago

I wouldn't class being taken on by the sister of Maria Steen as any indication that Simeon will have a career in anything beyond in their circle of nutjobs and bigots.

11

u/HappyMike91 Dublin 14h ago

I think you're right. Simeon Burke only got hired/taken on by Maria Steen's sister because nobody else would take him. Which means that he (as you said) won't have much of a career as a barrister.

4

u/South_Hedgehog_7564 13h ago

How do they get clients I wonder?

8

u/beeper75 12h ago

Solicitors are their clients, effectively. The solicitor chooses a barrister, usually based on their area of expertise, and sends them a brief (a book of papers about the matter). In return, the barrister provides advice/draft documents, or appears in court on behalf of the solicitor and the client. Barristers need time to build a reputation, so that solicitors will send work their way. Even the good ones find it difficult, it takes time. It’ll be interesting to see how he gets on…

3

u/Key-Lie-364 6h ago

Too much TV I still don't get the difference between solicitor and barrister.

/Checks

It's still weird if a solicitor represents you then why don't they do that in court? Surely there's a big disconnect between a history with a client a solicitor has and a barrister who would barely know you.

9

u/elfy4eva 14h ago

Sorry you are absolutely right. Although i might be forgiven for confusing them. I thought he was under tutelage of Maria Steens sister now. (Theyre welcome to eachother).

11

u/HappyMike91 Dublin 14h ago

There are a lot of Burke siblings. They're kind of like demented Matryoshka dolls.

Simeon is being trained by Maria Steen's sister. Bigots like them have to stick together, I guess.

3

u/South_Hedgehog_7564 13h ago

I think a few of the Burkes have avoided getting into conflict and throwing away the careers they’ve worked for. There are ten of them altogether and we only hear of a few of them.

3

u/HappyMike91 Dublin 13h ago

Were Sean and Martina Burke a member of Quiverful or whatever it was called?

2

u/Kloppite16 13h ago

yeah there was an article about the entire family before and at least two of them are in hiding from the family name

3

u/South_Hedgehog_7564 14h ago

I think Kezia did but I could be wrong.

6

u/HappyMike91 Dublin 13h ago edited 13h ago

Maybe? I honestly haven't kept track.

They're like Matryoshka dolls. They keep popping up everywhere.

3

u/South_Hedgehog_7564 13h ago

And they all look the bloody same

3

u/HappyMike91 Dublin 13h ago

It’s like they’re clones.

2

u/Pretend-Upstairs-789 13h ago

Maybe that's exactly what the rest of the world didšŸ¤”

1

u/HappyMike91 Dublin 13h ago

I think that’s what the rest of the world did. Because I doubt that the Burkes have been outside of Ireland.

1

u/South_Hedgehog_7564 12h ago

How about Rockall ?

1

u/HappyMike91 Dublin 12h ago

Rockall would be a good place for them.

1

u/lakehop 10h ago

No one should be judged for the behaviour of their brothers and sisters (or parents, or cousins, or children). Anyone from a big family will appreciate how important this is!

5

u/HappyMike91 Dublin 9h ago

That’s a good point. Then again, the Burkes have been completely indoctrinated by their parents and don’t really have (?) a separate identity.

1

u/lakehop 9h ago

But that’s the point - they all do have a separate identity. No one should be permanently judged or discriminated against based on how they were raised. And some of them appear to have normal jobs and are living a normal life (and should not be subject to a witch hunt now)

3

u/HappyMike91 Dublin 9h ago

The Burke siblings who are living normal lives shouldn’t be bothered because the rest of them are mental. They’re kind of like ex-FLDS or ex-Westborough Baptist Church members.

•

u/123iambill 5h ago

As someone who is their own dad's biggest hater, agreed.

9

u/Timely_Camera_2031 10h ago

Id defo use them...Ā  theyd wear down the other legal team...

4

u/elfy4eva 10h ago

You'd slight them unintentionally and be plagued with them for life.

1

u/Timely_Camera_2031 8h ago

You dance with the devil...Ā

1

u/capall94 Luimneach 9h ago

It always makes me giggle cause Burke is pronounced like "beurk" which means yuck in french

2

u/elfy4eva 9h ago

Yes its also a norman name, please take them back.

50

u/LordyIHopeThereIsPie 14h ago

Who would want her as a colleague or to represent them as a client. Any perceived slight and the whole clan will be on top of you shouting and roaring.

35

u/jimicus Probably at it again 14h ago

According to TFA, that’s basically what happened. She was accidentally omitted from an invitation to lunch in an honest mistake and went mental.

12

u/MrIrishman699 13h ago

A happy accident by her colleagues I’d imagine, not that you’d blame them

8

u/jimicus Probably at it again 13h ago

I imagine something would have happened sooner or later. She managed to alienate herself from all the senior partners she was expected to work with.

2

u/South_Hedgehog_7564 13h ago

Seriously? Was that Ammi or one of the others?

7

u/jimicus Probably at it again 12h ago

Ammi.

Apparently she managed to alienate herself from every senior partner she was expected to work with. Even her employer couldn’t understand it.

4

u/Meath77 Found out. A nothing player 11h ago

Any perceived slight and the whole clan will be on top of you shouting and roaring.

I think lots of people can handle that, it's the constant legal challenges you get from them that's the big problem. They're all unhireable, someone in the office does a smelly fart and they'll tie you up in court cases for the next 10 years

95

u/iHyPeRize 13h ago

She was given a very generous package when terminated, 3 months' pay, a full year salary and they even offered to help her find a new job.

She could have probably walked into a new job with a nice chunk of change in her back pocket, maybe spend a month or two travelling - but of course not, she's a Burke...

How could a Burke ever be wrong about anything? So she decided to force a 7 year legal struggle and has somehow landed on demanding to be reinstated which is laughable.

She might win her case because she wasn't given a fair disciplinary procedure upon termination, but she also accepted the package, not a chance of reinstatement.

31

u/Yer_One 13h ago

I'm curious to know how she has managed to get her case in front of the WRC. I would have assumed that given she received a settlement figure that she would have signed a settlement agreement, and that Arthur Cox of all places would have had watertight clauses built in whereby she would have waived any and all unfair dismissal claims.

Unless they didn't do it via a settlement agreement, which seems extremely short sighted of them.

26

u/Greedy_Definition673 13h ago

Anyone can bring any company to the WRC, nothing to stop it. We had people demand money from us or else they'd bring a claim. They did indeed bring the claim, absolutely baseless but we had to hire and pay for a solicitor to defend it. WRC is unable to award costs against them so they had nothing to lose. They submitted their names in Irish so avoid being found on google

5

u/Yer_One 12h ago

Yes but if there's a settlement agreement in place that was agreed prior by both parties, the WRC will generally recognise that the claimant waived their right to future claims in exchange for a monetary sum. What I'm finding difficult to imagine is that Arthur Cox didn't get her to sign such an agreement.

It's possible that AC did take that action but it's been found to be unenforceable.

9

u/jimicus Probably at it again 10h ago

"Offered to help her find a new job".

What, was the managing partner's plan that he'd find a solicitor he didn't like very much and recommend her?

6

u/Yoji101 9h ago

It's like the RCC moving the priests to a new parish.

31

u/bob_jsus 14h ago

Watch her show up on their doorstep daily for the next three years now. An entire family of wrong 'uns.

9

u/freshfrosted 13h ago

They did this already back in 2022.

6

u/TheHames72 13h ago

I think it might have been before then too. I haven’t been in Dublin since 2020 and I have a memory of those muppets being around Earlsfort Terrace before I left. Late 2019 maybe.

8

u/sevdafahy 12h ago

When they were in UCG, they were in the Connaught Tribube every few months. People in Castlebar crossed the road to avoid them. They aren't well.

4

u/Cearnach 10h ago

Can confirm that I crossed the road to avoid their Christmas carol session a few years ago.

3

u/freshfrosted 12h ago

You could be right , this action goes back nearly 7 years now so that time makes sense.

5

u/TheHames72 12h ago

Yeah: I looked it up. She was given the heave-ho in November 2019 so I’d say they were on the first train over from Mayo to protest.

1

u/jimicus Probably at it again 10h ago

Nah, they were kicked off the first one when they took umbrage at being asked to show a ticket. Had to get the second.

4

u/bob_jsus 13h ago

It figures, ha. Thank you

5

u/Background_Cover5097 14h ago

Nowadays solicitors do nearly everything remotely. They don't have clients doing in and out. The protest would be an waste of time.

6

u/bob_jsus 13h ago

These things matter not to a Burke! But I thank you for the info.

1

u/Timely_Camera_2031 10h ago

The protest would be a waste of time to a sane person but in this case it would just increase the challenge in their eyes

32

u/Tequilashot360 13h ago

Met someone who worked in HR in Arthur Cox during her spell there and she sounded like an absolute handful to say the least…these articles don’t even scratch the surface!

25

u/Kloppite16 13h ago

I heard one rumour that some solicitor in there got some bad news while sitting at their desk and in reaction said 'jesus fucking christ'. Ammi heard it and she blew up at them for taking the Lords name in vein.

•

u/nyushadragonborn 4h ago

I’ve heard this too!!

6

u/South_Hedgehog_7564 13h ago

Do you have links to any of these articles by any chance, please? I’ve never read them. Many thanks.

4

u/DanGleeballs 13h ago

Go on…

20

u/One-Artichoke279 13h ago

Their parents have raised a bunch of kids who are incapable of functioning in society, can't hold down jobs and are constantly in trouble with the law. Complete failures all round.

8

u/aineslis Braywatch 12h ago

This is why I’m against homeschooling (except for certain circumstances). These siblings are all victims of abuse by their parents.

17

u/smithskat3 14h ago

They just do themselves no favours do they? Imagine having a workplace dispute and having your mum show up to harangue the boss!

2

u/Timely_Camera_2031 10h ago

Sounds like a porno plot.. not that I ve watch porn..Ā

Yes my name is simeoin

12

u/Pupcup2 14h ago

Grab a cup of tea; interesting read

6

u/struggling_farmer 14h ago

i assume round two shall be where they cross examine her?

That should be interesting

4

u/bulbispire 13h ago

Shouldn't be too difficult.Ā  She's always cross.Ā

12

u/Dangerous-Moose3694 13h ago

Setting aside her personal beliefs (which to be fair, I find distasteful). She has repeatedly acted like an amadƔn in court proceedings. Unprofessional doesnt even cover it.

They are well shot of her. Let her go out on her own if she can't get along with her colleagues.

61

u/YoureNotEvenWrong 14h ago

They were fools to hire her so they get what they deserve

42

u/blueghosts 14h ago

Yup. It’s not as if any sort of menial background check, even just a google search, wouldn’t have brought up all the shitehawking they did in NUIG and the LGBTQ protests

7

u/catsandcurls- 12h ago

It’s quite possible she was hired before then though. Seems like the NUIG lifetime ban was in 2014. She started with Arthur Cox in 2016, so could easily have been hired in 2013 or 2014 before that.

0

u/rmc 11h ago

Hang on, how does law firms work? You "get hired" and don't start working for 2→3 years?! I work in IT and that just sounds strange.Ā

8

u/catsandcurls- 10h ago

Yep, it would be standard to get the offer during college (often as a job offer at the end of a summer internship), and then you need to pass 8 law society exams (which take at least a year) before you can start in the office.

It’s changed a bit recently, but in my day (and Ammi’s) I’d say 90% of trainees were hired 2-3 years ahead of their start date.

It’s a bit of an issue with the recent very quick advancements in AI, where firms have hired large trainee cohorts years in advance only to have no work for them by the time they start because of AI - but that’s a whole other topic!

35

u/South_Hedgehog_7564 14h ago

She is well qualified and obviously didn’t have the reputation for making trouble then. She’s untouchable now. What a waste of an education.

50

u/Bill_Badbody Resting In my Account 14h ago

obviously didn’t have the reputation for making trouble then.

This is untrue really.

If I have my timeline right, she would have already been banned for life from the involvement in any society in NUIG, after the financial irregularities in the Christian society.

Siblings banned for life from NUIG societies refuse college’s offer

https://www.irishtimes.com/news/education/siblings-banned-for-life-from-nuig-societies-refuse-college-s-offer-1.3928544

3

u/South_Hedgehog_7564 13h ago

How did she manage to get taken on by anyone at all I wonder?

1

u/Kerrytwo 6h ago

She would have been hired during university so possibly before anything had happened or was widely known about.

1

u/South_Hedgehog_7564 6h ago

Crikey. No checks at all ?

4

u/catsandcurls- 12h ago

I mean seeing as she started with Arthur Cox in 2016, it’s very possible she was hired in 2013 or 2014 before that.

Not sure if it was a big enough story at the time for them to have subsquently seen it (or enough for them to revoke an offer on its own)

16

u/mrbuddymcbuddyface 14h ago

Arthur Cox has a reputation of only taking on the very best graduates too. And apparently she kept her nose clean until made an associate. She's not stupid. But definitely doesn't like Cox.

10

u/Acceptable_Golf_8623 13h ago

I know Enoch, Isaac and one of the sisters whose name I've forgotten personally. I sat my leaving cert with 2 of them.Ā

Academically, they are absolutely top-notch students. Enoch turned down a place in medicine in trinity for reasons known best to himself, but they as a family, have excelled in every academic field they've been in. I knew a woman who had Issac for maths tutoring in university and says his ability to break down the concepts of maths in their first class is the reasons she was able to graduate.Ā

Great minds, woeful politicsĀ

11

u/mrbuddymcbuddyface 13h ago

All home schooled too by Ma Burke. No doubting their academic abilities, just they were brain washed at the same time. Imagine being Enoch, wasting the best years of his life either sitting in prison or standing/ trespassing at a school. Nearly 700 days in prison since Sept 22.

2

u/waronfleas 6h ago

It's a shame to their parents, and a loss to the country that's paid for all of their education.

Intelligent, diligent (and warped) minds.

They are young, all of them. Don't know what kind of future is available to any of them. It's really quite sad.

4

u/South_Hedgehog_7564 14h ago

I don’t suppose he thinks a whole lot of her either lol

11

u/GazelleIll495 13h ago

'He' retired in 1965 so I doubt he's too bothered

4

u/South_Hedgehog_7564 13h ago

If he retired in 1965 I doubt he’s alive.

1

u/GazelleIll495 13h ago

Thanks for that

1

u/Tote_Sport Mon Ermaaaa 13h ago

He also died in 1965 so very much speculative if he’s still alive…

7

u/mrbuddymcbuddyface 13h ago

I want to add specifically, Ammi doesn't like Cox.

3

u/LordyIHopeThereIsPie 13h ago

Big Death trying to fool you don't fall for it

2

u/South_Hedgehog_7564 13h ago

His law firm is very much alive and well.

1

u/Tote_Sport Mon Ermaaaa 11h ago

Of that much I am aware

1

u/South_Hedgehog_7564 10h ago

O that’s a relief

1

u/rmc 11h ago

They say that in the article. She was well behaved at the start.Ā

3

u/TwinIronBlood 12h ago

The thing is one of the partners made a mistake by forgetting to include her in a work lunch. She lost it with her over that. If she had handled it better she would have gotten a 1:1 lunch with a partner. This wasn't a matter of morals or faith

2

u/DirectBee1033 10h ago

It's even worse! It wasn't a work lunch. This partner had returned home after a period working abroad and they asked their friend/colleague, who Ammi happened to share an office with, if they wanted to have lunch to catch up. Ammi overhead and jumped the gun to assume she was being excluded from a work lunch. It was a personal lunch between two coworkers who were also friends, and who hadn't seen each other in ages.

3

u/TwinIronBlood 9h ago

Her evidence or the reporting of it was different

In other evidence, former senior partner at Arthur Cox, GrĆ”inne Hennessy described how Burke went on a ā€œfrantic rantā€ after receiving an email inviting her to lunch in January 2019.

Hennessy said she was having a lunch for two other new associates to celebrate their new positions with the firm and realised she had inadvertently not invited Burke as she had not worked with her before.

0

u/DirectBee1033 9h ago

Oh yeah that rings a bell, but I think it might have been a separate incident.

2

u/TwinIronBlood 9h ago

There was something about locking her boss in an office because they cursed

8

u/DirectBee1033 13h ago

They hired her before the Burkes had the reputation they have now, as far as I know. I read about her WRC case in 2020 or 2021 so she'd been hired by Arthur Cox way before that.

17

u/UpdaWorkerz 13h ago

The Burkes have haunted NUIG and Mayo for decades

1

u/South_Hedgehog_7564 13h ago

Add Wilson’s to the list

13

u/oldappian 13h ago

I think there's a case to be made that the Burke children have been brainwashed and have had their lives ruined by religious indoctrination.

9

u/DanGleeballs 13h ago

Ya don’t say

1

u/luxcity-louche 12h ago

Do you think they'll find a lawyer willing to make that case?

8

u/selfmademuppet 13h ago

All because she was accidentally excluded from a work lunch

2

u/sevdafahy 12h ago

That was just the straw.

2

u/rmc 11h ago

Given what we know about the family, I think they would have found some reason to kick up a fuss.Ā  Maybe if she sees a rainbow once in work, shed habe kicked off.Ā

6

u/maxplanar 12h ago

Imagine how great the experience would be for everyone if she won the case, got her job back, and walked in every day with that smug Burke look. Imagine how happy she’d be, how welcome she’d be in a place she’s been suing for seven years, how much fun she’d have at office parties.

And the same would have been the case for Enoch. The ā€˜I want my job back’ Burkes.

5

u/t0ny1212 9h ago

I don't understand how she can be an actual solicitor at this point. All professional bodies have a code of conduct which she surely has violated in past court proceedings. Those bodies take that stuff seriously, if she hasn't been stripped of her designation yet, it can't be far away. Without that, they would have clear grounds for dismissal under some conduct or professionalism clause

2

u/Brian012381 8h ago

Interesting point, she is longer on roll of practicing solicitors for some reason …

•

u/Fabulous-Decision-25 5h ago

Costs a few grand annually to keep your practicing in date

7

u/SharkeyGeorge 13h ago

It’s very difficult to understand what she even hopes to achieve. The fact that she was paid out 12 months salary with the termination means that even if the Labour Court find for her, which I suspect they won’t, the Court is highly unlikely to award her any more compensation and it will be a technical victory only based on her own contribution to her dismissal and her behaviour since. She owes costs for the HC and CA proceedings as far as I understand it so it would bring her legal options to conclusion and presumably at that point Arthur Cox will aggressively pursue their costs orders. Totally unhinged behaviour.

8

u/Fantasyplwinner 12h ago

The answer is attention

1

u/Business_Cabinet_483 11h ago

You're forgetting that money means nothing to this family.

Fame is the oxygen they seek

1

u/Stpeppersthebest 11h ago

I’d be very surprised if the labor court find in her favour. She was sacked without disciplinary procedure- I’m sure she will only be awarded a small amount but can’t see any world where she doesn’t win her case. Arthur Cox obviously made the decision that the payout was/ would be worth it to get rid of her with immediate effect, and have no doubt played out all possible/probable financial consequences to acting outside of the disciplinary procedure.

7

u/ManuelTzetzes 14h ago

Jesus Christ lads. Can we not extradite the entire family or something?

7

u/Marzipan_civil 14h ago

Who would take them?

7

u/GarthODarth 14h ago

I feel like Trump would enjoy them greatly

5

u/Sub-Mongoloid 14h ago

I hope that man has never felt a moment of true joy his entire life.

5

u/Lazy_Fall_6 13h ago

Even the Westboro Baptist Church have come out on side of the Irish court system against the Burke's saying they took it too far haha

2

u/RobotIcHead 13h ago

Westboro Baptist Church appartently try to stay just on the right side of the law, they seem to try and to follow court orders while immediately trying to appeal them, they do not antagonise police officers and follow guidance on protest arrangements. They know better than try to jeopardise their legal protections as that will be used against them in courts battles.

According to an article or two that I read Enoch might have had a case for wrongful dismissal against the school at the start IF he hadn’t kept doing these protests. But like you said even WBC think that the Burke’s are going too far.

1

u/lakehop 10h ago

They are a tiny group, basically an extended family plus a handful of other people. They try to get as much publicity as they can by doing various extremely hateful things. They should be given zero attention. They are not representative of anyone except their own hateful family.

1

u/ManuelTzetzes 6h ago

I overheard two lads in Gay Spar one night talking about renting a disco bus type of thing, filling it with beautiful gay people and visiting that gobshite outside the school.

I'd pay money to be the driver. šŸ˜‚ "How're ya Enoch? Are ya alright there in the rain? Do you want to come onboard for a bit of a boogie? Sure you never know what might happen!"

2

u/ManuelTzetzes 14h ago

Ah come on, they belong in the US. That's where all their money comes from. Could we start a petition or something?

7

u/LordyIHopeThereIsPie 14h ago

There's no evidence any US organisations give them any funding. The family run a successful school giving grinds and several of them work in other roles. They're entirely self funded.

3

u/ceadagamdulamach 13h ago

Where's the evidence they run a successful school giving grinds? Successful enough to support a family of 10 constantly on the road abd taking court cases?

5

u/LordyIHopeThereIsPie 13h ago

They all represent themselves or have family legal representation. Their grind school is known locally and very popular as it apparently does very good coaching and notes for leaving cert exams.

1

u/ceadagamdulamach 13h ago

So again, any evidence their grind school supports the family and their campaigns?

Family member Josiah Burke has spent more than €45,000 since April 2019 promoting family campaigns on Facebook, data shows

https://www.irishtimes.com/ireland/2025/03/16/burke-family-pays-facebook-to-promote-its-video-of-their-washington-dc-protest/

5

u/LordyIHopeThereIsPie 13h ago

Where's the proof they are in receipt of foreign funding? Spending isn't proof.

2

u/ceadagamdulamach 10h ago

So zero evidence, but you're calling others out for not having any evidence.

0

u/Banana_Bazara 13h ago

If only you had any interest in the sourcing of the outlandish foreign funding claim, but you people never do. It's pretty cheap to take cases where you represent yourself btw.

1

u/ceadagamdulamach 13h ago

I didnt make that claim banana me lad.

I'm asking the person who said theres no evidence of a particular claim, and then made another claim with no evidence to provide some.

2

u/Banana_Bazara 13h ago

Your level of care about some claims and not others is exactly the point. Lad.

There is no way that cottage industry of theirs is funding all the crap they’re involved in. Of course there’s money coming in from abroad.

Exactly what crap are they funding? They protest. They take legal cases where they represent themselves. They don't appear to live a lavish lifestyle.

This is said all the time yeah. A photo was posted of them on an Aer Lingus flight to NY and people were like "who's fundng this?"

Hahaaaaa have you ever seen them in their ordinary clothes? When they ditch the Amish look? Different cuppa tea then trust me.

Where's the proof of US funding?

-2

u/South_Hedgehog_7564 13h ago

Ask them, they’re spending it.

3

u/LordyIHopeThereIsPie 13h ago

You're the one making the claim they're receiving money from abroad.

Westboro baptist church

u/Lazy_Fall_6 13h ago

Even the Westboro Baptist Church have come out on side of the Irish court system against the Burke's saying they took it too far haha

2

u/BillyMooney 13h ago

You bastard. Now you've got me feeling sympathy for the Westboro Baptist Church.

We could exile them all to Rockall one dark and stormy night and somehow Enoch would be standing outside Wilson's Hospital the next morning in a freshly pressed shirt.

Unfortunately they're one of our own. The problem is we keep giving them attention. If there was a TV show I'd probably watch it

1

u/SilentBass75 11h ago

I'd pay 2 TV licenses if RTE got it done

Did she see a rainbow sticker on someone's desk? I bet even a Catholic cross would set her off.

2

u/DanGleeballs 13h ago

Is there such a thing as a Christian non-Catholic cross?!

3

u/Archamasse 12h ago

Non-Catholic ones usually don't actually have Himself on them. Early protestants thought it was a bit idolatrous and too focused on the suffering bit instead of the resurrection.

3

u/DanGleeballs 12h ago

Oddly interesting. Thanks

6

u/Archamasse 12h ago

It's one of those funny little things you don't notice until it's pointed out, and then it seems obvious doesn't it?

1

u/DanGleeballs 12h ago

I guess it’s in line with the idolatry thing. Or lack of.

1

u/oranbhoy 12h ago

when i was growing up - albeit in Glasgow - a Cross with Jesus on it (crucifix) was seen as a Catholic cross

3

u/New-Strawberry7711 13h ago

Genuinely. America is their only salvation, they would absolutely thrive over there.

You'd be shocked at the amount of self-entitled knobs like her that are at large in the workplace. Worked with one and had to get counselling after her.

u/iDJH 11h ago

Was this the situation where one of the bosses was cornered in a meeting room and the door was blocked they were trapped, and subjected to hours of haranguing ?

u/2L84T 10h ago

Poor old labor court have been handed a bit of a poison chalice. Cox didn't follow their own dismissal process leaving them open to sanction by the court. But the last thing they want to do is reward that awful gowl. Hard place to be.

2

u/OriginalComputer5077 10h ago

Here, was Enoch on a picket line today??

2

u/lainaldo6 8h ago

I'm afraid to ask about Enoch, is he in prison still? Or is he out again and terrorising that school?

4

u/magusbud 13h ago

You'd land a 747 on that forehead.

Was she a crane driver working over Arthur Cox at some stage? Something about a pudding in a bag

•

u/Efficient-Secret4438 1h ago

She is deluded on so many levels and clearly has some kind of superiority complex.Ā  Her whole family are unenployable at this stage due to their stupidity. They probablyĀ  believe literally In Adam and Eve etc.Ā
