Weather They cancelled the weather

Post image

The public sector strike means there's no weather forecasting from Met Eireann today

Now you might laugh but let's be glad there's no big weather event development with fast moving changes in conditions today.

'Don't worry Len, they repeat those programmes all the time.'

We should probably take in the roads just to be safe anyway

to be fair, if there were significant risks they would be monitoring & reporting.

Public safety & protecting life is generally prioritised over the picket line.

Good for them. I hope they have a weather section on the news and state that due to the striking workers they have no information.

It's fine, the weather will be blustery with light showers, then moving to a clear spell followed by showers, showers move in from the east for a time before reaching a status orange warning across leister, munster, connaught. Rain heaviest across all counties, the weekend looks unsettled with showers.

Scattered showers over the course of the day. Temperature above 10, below 20. Sun will set in the evening.

Mine is called Marie, and the strikes have been a good alternative.

Irish weather works as designed:
It will be sunny unless it rains...

The most Irish thing I've seen since RiP.ie...

I love how the weather warning in east Galway neatly swerves around north Roscommon and starts again in Leitrim.

The invisible weather dome of Roscommon is working a treat. Wakanda eat your heart out!

Pretty good day to recommend using yr.no (Norwegian weather website) that tracks rainfall in Ireland really well

That’s passing the picket imo

And so the picket will be passed

As we have all seen in recent times it's a farce by them, our local radio kerry use the met eireann munster regional forecast which obviously is inaccurate especially as our weather generally moves in from west to east and it usually just covers all probabilities!

All those years of televised weather forecast and climate change doom and gloom, all we had to do to cancel the weather was to just not report on it.
