Planning on studying medicine in Tehran

Hi all!

Just thought i'd write here as i'm in the process of filling out paperwork to study in tehran as a foreigner. Could anyone tell me what the nightlife and overall culture will be like there?

And also if anybody knows good sellers for any secondhand cars that'll be amazing!!

Thanks for reading!

Oooh nice Im studying dentistry as a foreigner 😅 night life is very active especially on Wednesday and Thursday. As for car your best bet is bama.ir or divar.ir. I had to learn this the hard way but buying a used car in Iran you need to bring with you a car mechanic (معاینه فنی) you will pay him a small fee like 2-5m toman and he will inspect the whole car for so.

معاینه فنی Is the mandatory annual inspection. What you're talking about is کارشناسی فنی. If you need anything let me know. Night life in Tehran is very active. You'll enjoy it. You have variety of choice for cars depending on your budget. But prepare yourself for very high prices with other countries. Imported cars are very expensive in Iran, but local made ones are decent cheap. Iran version of Uber (snapp or tapsi) are pretty cheap. So unless you have a lot of road trips in mind you financially better off with them.

Although I am not from Tehran, in general, wherever you choose to live or stay, the culture and life there has both its own common and unique characteristics.

That’s really cool, I think nightlife really does depend on where you live within tehran. But expect to go to a lot of cafes with your friends, maybe some other activities like bowling and mini golf could be cool too. Also definitely go to andarzgoo st. and start aimless going up and down a street exchanging phone numbers😂

Guys what do you mean by a foreigner? I’m confused.
Like not an Iranian person going to Iran to study
Or an Iranian person born and raised somewhere else?
