Question Using this much storage?!?

Post image

Hi there. Looking to get some help and clarity from the community. Just opened up my iPad 10th Gen after not using it for a few weeks and was looking to update it. Found it basically dead without actually using it and that a bunch of the system data and iOS is taking up a ton of space, which is very very new. Anyone else have this happen or did I get some sort of bug?

64gb of storage is obsolete in 2026 unfortunately, if you hard reboot you might clear out some system data but it won’t be a lot better.

Are you on iOS 27? What does storage sizes say for iPadOS and system data?

10th gen doesnt get Apple Intelligence so iPadOS shouldn’t use more than 13-14GB.

You can free up some space by disabling automatic updates/downloads and enabling offload unused apps.

you can offload your biggest apps , update then reinstall them and cache will be cleared out one updated freeing up storage

before bed do forced update and keep on wifi & on charge overnight, this can force ios to do some housekeeping and get rid of any old data
