Kompesal (Confession) Crime and Sin is our original animated webcomic. A black and white noir tale set on a strange land in strange times and a mystery that has just begun to unravel.
The story is told through a combination of static and animated panels and web design elements.
We have a few episodes already out and a voice over narration video is in WIP.
Please consider a read, and would love to know what y'all think!

Hi everyone, I’m Chris Anderson. I wanted to share Something Seems Off, my surreal sci-fi/fantasy comic.
It’s mostly silent, with the story carried by the artwork. If you enjoy strange creatures and wandering through unfamiliar worlds, the preview should give you a good sense of it.
The comic was originally serialized in Heavy Metal magazine. I’m now collecting and expanding it, and issue #1 is on Kickstarter:

Thanks for taking a look. I’m happy to answer questions about the book.

During World War I, the Harlem Hellfighters earned their place in history through their courage and service on the battlefield. The 369th Infantry Regiment became known for its fighting record in France, while its soldiers faced the discrimination that African Americans endured during this era.
In Hellfighters of Stercland, members of the 369th find themselves on a different path when their wartime service brings them to Stercland. Their experiences connect the regiment's military history with the nation of Stercland, setting the stage for a story about service, loyalty, and the bonds formed on the battlefield.
The story will predominantly follow five historical figures from the Hellfighters: Henry Johnson, Needham Roberts, James Reese Europe, Noble Sissle, and William Hayward.

Achille sees the chance to change his life. KiPI wants to know what the catch is. That difference between a hopeful young inventor and his deeply sceptical bionic cat is the heart of Achille & KiPI: The Disconnected.
Hi, I am Renato Franchi, the comic’s editorial supervisor and founder of Senshi Consulting. Disclosure: I work on this project and its crowdfunding campaign.
The story follows the pair to m1RC_, a planet that promises everyone a chance to build their future. Behind those opportunities, rival factions are fighting over what that future should be. It is a sci-fi adventure about friendship, ambition and the things we are prepared to believe when we want a better life.
Mario Moroni created the original story, Salvatore Vivenzio wrote the script, and Silvia Buganza provides the artwork. We are making a 96-page book in English and Italian for readers aged 8 and up.
The campaign has reached its goal and remains open until November 2. There are free 20-page previews in both languages, so you can meet the characters and see the pages before deciding:

Italian preview: https://www.achillekipi.com/assets/novel/Achille-KiPI-Preview-ITA.pdf
Happy to answer questions about the comic and the editorial work behind it.

I have a question that has been nagging me for a while. Do readers enjoy black and white comics or do they prefer colored comics? Manga is selling extremely well and they are always in black and white so I figure the market is there or is it because it is Manga? For Western comics to sell, they need to be in color? They can't sell as black and white? Daniel Warren Johnson's new comic "Chainkata" will be in black and white. Will it sell? Really curious about this.

Part 1 Coming Halloween weekend
During World War I, the 369th Infantry Regiment, an African American unit of the U.S. Army, fought alongside French forces on the Western Front. It was in France that the regiment earned the name that would become legendary: the Harlem Hellfighters.
Hellfighters of Stercland is a that reimagines the regiment's journey during the last hours of World War I, taking historical figures and real events as inspiration before introducing the fictional nation of Stercland.
