Are Indian Airlines Considering Pilots Who Completed Their Flying Training in the Philippines? 🇵🇭✈️
I have a question for pilots who completed their CPL flying training in the Philippines and subsequently got selected by airlines.
Are Indian airlines considering candidates with a Philippine CPL, provided they have completed all the required DGCA examinations, licence conversion, and other eligibility requirements?
If you completed your flying training in the Philippines and secured an airline job, please share your experience.
- Which airline selected you?
- Did you face any challenges during the DGCA licence conversion process?
- Did the airline accept your Philippine flying hours and training background?
- Would you recommend the Philippines for CPL training to aspiring Indian pilots today?
It would be really helpful to hear from pilots with first-hand experience, especially those who have successfully joined an airline after training in the Philippines.
Thank you! 🙏✈️

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has banned the MOBIKINS MK-PB-04 powerbank from all passenger and cargo flights to, from and within India.
Like most departments staffed with incompetent and ignorant babus, DGCA decided to ban only one model, not one brand, not one manufacturer and not one class of product. 😂

I wanted to share my horrible experience so that everyone knows what they're getting themselves into if they get their medical done from them, they unfairly declared my brother unfit and then blamed it on the software glitch, wasted a month rectifying it, and made us go to dgca office twice, and the bitch at the reception Neha ( which ik isn't her real name because they hid it from me) she had the audacity to come shout at me and called out names at me when I told these people to take accountability, they are the most unprofessional buffoons out there. Bloody thugs take 12-15k for a normal sa medical and then when they fuck up don't even pick calls, harrass you, and tell you that dgca se khud nipat lo. Best part being, the doctor is so outdated that he emailed once, just once, on our behalf to dgca on an email that was dysfunctional in 2019. What these morons think is ki apni dukaan chal rahi hai to kya hi kisi ko pata lagega but they are playing with lives, unnecessarily logo ko unfit for two years de dete hai aur software glitch par blame karne ke baad kehte hai hum kya kare. Their license should be cancelled. Agar professionalism bhi nehi hai dusre ki grievances sunne ka aur usme bhi Neha jaise log bully karte hai to fir kaam kar hi kyu rahe ho? I've never had such an experience ever, and I've been getting my medical done from 2019. My word of advice chahe flight leke kahi aur Jana pade, don't get your medical done here by Dr. Arun Kumar, he'd also unfairly label you as unfit and blame it on his stupid glitching software and then leave a bully for you to handle when you try to question them.

Applied for my computer number in late September.
The status has been stuck on “Level 1 scrutiny completed” since a few days after I applied.
Help desk only sends a generic “under process” reply.
Is anyone else facing the same issue? or can anyone suggest any solution for getting it faster?
My useless agent isn’t helping me either because he wants to charge me extra just for this basic step of getting the approval.
And honestly, it feels like even the people at DGCA expect bribes for work they’re already being paid to do. I’ve rectified the partial rejection three times and uploaded all the correct documents, yet I’m still stuck.

Air India Flight AI-2030 from Frankfurt to New Delhi made a sudden emergency landing in Jaipur today after transmitting a Squawk 7500 transponder code, the international silent signal for an active hijacking. The aircraft was immediately isolated on a remote runway and surrounded by the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) and heavily armed police who evacuated all 306 passengers and crew. Following a tense security sweep, authorities confirmed the incident was a false alarm caused by the pilot accidentally inputting the 7500 emergency code into the cockpit transponder panel while adjusting flight data. The aircraft has been fully cleared, everyone is safe, and the flight was approved to finish its journey to Delhi eventually landing at 15:24pm ist.

I think its safe to say that the Indian job market for fresher pilots is absolutely cooked, with thousands of unemployed pilots and the number of CPLs getting issued at an exponential rate, barley any vacancies (once a year if lucky) and no idea when the next one will come, it just feels like any other competitive Indian exam at this point like JEE or UPSC. As well as every other ground school and news outlet in India saying that there are 30,000 pilots needed which is such a misleading figure as well. So is it really worth doing conventional anymore at this point now, should it just be cadet or don’t become a pilot? and with the amount of CPLs getting issued with a fraction of jobs available is there any recovering from this? what do you think?

Hi everyone,
I am trying to complete my Computer Number registration on the DGCA Pariksha portal (Flight Crew Registration), but whenever I click Save or Save and Next, the system throws this pop-up error:
"Please enter mandatory qualifications of Twelfth or Equivalent."
I have added my 12th Board details, but the portal fails to validate them. Here are the troubleshooting steps I have already tried:
DigiLocker De-linking: De-linked my Karnataka Board marksheet from DigiLocker because it was auto-filling the qualification type as "10+2 equivalent" instead of "10+2" (non-PM).
Added NIOS Qualification: Added NIOS details for 10+2 (with Physics & Mathematics) alongside my state board entry.
Re-ordered Entries: Changed the row sequence of board details in Section 10 (Education).
Matched Subject Details: Updated Section 11 (Subject Details) so English, Maths, and Physics correspond to their respective boards.
Reset Application: Used the self-rejection feature to start the draft section fresh.
Browser Troubleshooting: Cleared browser cache, performed hard reloads, and tried multiple browsers.
Has anyone faced this exact validation issue on the PARIKSHA portal recently? Is there a specific dropdown choice, credential formatting rule, or row order required for dual-board (State + NIOS) entries to pass validation?
Any advice or workarounds would be greatly appreciated!
